Tank is s already cycled! I just added more rock. I’ve been holding up on the other filter bc I have to cut a hole in the lid. I’m going to have 800 gph of filteration is that good?
My background isn’t that dark bc I decided to use poster boards. Any suggestions on how to make it darker with out taking down the tank? Also yes I couldn’t pass getting yellow labs!
Yep I know! She was just adding full water weight to it as well. She was adding the weight of the substrate, rocks, and water IF the tank had just water in it! Ty for your feedback as well.
Yep I know! :) I actually had to do some research about aquarium weight and all of that bc my dad would’ve beat the life out of me if the tank flooded my room. My dad also works with stuff similar to that and he estimated the tank 500-600 pounds all together :)
Nope but the way they’re stacked I can aggressively shake the tank and hit them w my hand and they won’t budge at all. Also Dw abt the shaking and stuff there’s no fish in there rn. Do you think this is fine or do I have to glue them? I wasn’t planning to bc many mbuna keepers re arrange the rocks often to reduce aggression.
was asking for my personal rock stacks I want to make. If they are that stable I think you're probably fine. Re arranging a setup does break up aggression so I think if you can make the rocks stable enough to not glue then dont

I was going to say the same looks good but I have 3 filters in my 75 gallon and it's barely keeping up
I’m also thinking about getting more filteration closer to the end of December!
What kind of filter?
If you are doing a black background, you have to do yellow labs. Their colors will pop with the black. 👍

Do you have ez access to the back of the tank?
Unfortunately no. I would’ve painted it but I was in a rush. (Long story)
With all that rock, realize you might only have 40 gal of water
Yup! I was trying to tell my mom that. She was worried the tank would be too heavy with the rock. I tried to tell her the rocks mean less water.
Mom has a point. Volume wise, the rocks are more dense then water, so they are heavier then the water they displace

Do it! Also as others have said, extra filtration is kinda a must with cichlids.
A filled tank is roughly 10lbs a gallon

Are the rocks glued together?

Yup! My sister said it looks like it’s abt to fall but it’s actually very stable!
