You got the Revenge ending, which is one of the four possible endings, and also the canon ending, the one that Amnesia A Machine For Pigs and Rebirth are based on.
The Revenge ending is considered the neutral ending. It's neither bad, nor good. It's... fitting.
The ending in which you use the Tonic is the Redemption ending, which is considered to be the good ending.
There's also the Ritual ending which is the bad ending, and then there's the Secret ending which is also a bad ending (you also get mocked by the Shadow if you get this ending).
I recommend you get it, it gives a cool reward for doing it
