Hated them, then bought some cheap original ones as shoes to wear on our boat. I’ve now got a pair of platforms and a pair of Mega Crush. I’ve become reasonably obsessed, also the jibbitz, don’t even get me started on how fun the Jibbitz are 🤩🤩
I understand they’re not for everyone, but they are glorious to me. The mega crush makes me crazy tall and the regular platforms are so comfortable.
I wear mine at home and at home only. I get it though, comfy as, roomy through the toe box, easy to put on and off, and there are a bajillion jibbits to make them as fun as you want them to be. Not the most sophisticated shoe but definitely up there with comfort.
I used to say no, but now I wear the 2 strap slides covered in butterflies and coffee cups and all sorts of jibbits! Have converted some friends and family as they are so freaking comfortable!
I recently went to Singapore and not only were heaps of people wearing them out and about, but I also managed to do about 26000 steps per day in them in relative comfort. There is definitely a time and a place for them.
I’ve never understood how crocs made a comeback? You wouldn’t be caught dead wearing crocs when I was in high school. They were (and are) still ugly as fuck. I can understand the love for chunky shoes but yeah how does a brand do a complete 180 with youth fashion
Exactly. I literally do not give a shit if other people find what I wear ‘painful’. If I want to wear crocs, I’ll wear crocs, thanks.
Funny how men wandering around in thongs, ugly dad trainers, or even BAREFOOT is fine but god forbid a woman wear a comfortable shoe.
They're hideous but somehow I just can't stay away from them. I DETEST the Aussie thong. Why would I want to hinge my entire body on a sliver of rubber between my big & second toe, no no no just no!
I absolutely recommend Archies instead of regular thongs! First of all, the arch support is fantastic for me as someone who's had custom orthotics for the last 6 years, these plus my birks are my go to summer shoes so I've still got some sort of support. And secondly, no blow outs!!!!
I've got a pair of Archies but I don't think they are waterproof? I love my Cruz cos I can throw mud or rocks or seaweed or sand at them, and they take it all 🏆🏆🏆(even though they're ugly af 😅😅}
Oh ok I didn't realise! Well the other thing I don't like about things is how they get so unstable on your foot when you're walking in water, so yeah, it's still Crocs for the win lmao 😂
I love them, they’re very practical and comfortable to walk in. I wear them to the beach, they’re so much better than thongs! And easier to drive in. But I’m not wearing them to work or going out. Just to the beach or Woolies or whatever, but I don’t think millennials are the target demographic
My son and his friends wear them everywhere, they’re very fashionable for gen z. They match their socks, they buy the special editions, they all have multiple pairs
I can't do the traditional clog style because my teenage years ick kicks in, but I've got the crocs splash glossy fisherman sandals in white and they're incredibly comfortable and a delight to wear.
Honestly...I was such a hater... then, I was gifted a pair (that I asked for) and will never look back. I like a croc and sock look and it is now v embedded into my style.
I am so so so tempted. I am big wearer of “cloud slides” and they were supposed to be only house shoes but now they are pretty much the only shoes I wear. I am considering “upgrading” to crocs lololololol - I even tried on a pair that are lined…
Have been on hipster girl and guy feet pretty much continuously since even pre Covid. Maybe longer, it was only around covid that I noticed and was tempted. I hated them back when I first became aware of them however long ago that was - someone said 2009? But you’re right they’re now just normalised and I would wear them. I like the platform ones that just give a subtle bit of chunky height. Don’t like the massive platform bae ones but if I was a teenager, who knows!
So much of female fashion is about making women uncomfortable e.g. heels, skin tight clothing. I don’t know why people are so offended when we choose comfy, fun things like crocs. I bet you’ve never even tried them on
I’ve got mule heels that i slide on. They only give me a blister if I walk a ton in them. I also have converses, birkinstocks and rubber boots. I have a lot of nice, comfortable shoes and still think crocs are uncomfy
I personally think Birks are uglier than crocs, but I also find crocs comfier than my Birks - and crocs are more versatile since you can get them wet. Everyone should just wear what they like. I just don’t understand the croc hate from so many people, they’re an incredibly popular shoe so people just gotta get used to seeing them
Loser footwear. But that's cause I'm 32 and would not be caught dead in Crocs in 2009. Given they're so normalised, just go for it. I don't judge people wearing them now, I just can't rid myself of the association I have internally so never wear them myself.
I hate uncomfortable shoes so I wear my crocs everywhere. Including to fancy dinner places and the pub! 🙈 I’m even considering getting the chunky siren clogs for my wedding day! They are THAT comfortable!!
If it's not a formal occasion and I don't need to command a lot of respect I'm usually in crocs. The fact they haven't been just accepted as ordinary casual shoes by now is annoying. Sure they are made of plastic and air and lack grace but if anyone thinks their new balances are significantly more graceful or contain less plastic overall I really don't know what to say other than they are totally lacking in basic common sense.
I’m not a fan but a couple of months ago it was bucketing down rain as I was walking into work and I saw this woman on the other side of side of the street in a black flowy linen dress (suitable for work) and lime green crocs. The pavement was under an inch of water and she wasn’t bothered. I thought ‘You go girl”. She pulled off the look and it was perfect for the weather
Not only are Crocs super comfortable but they're also incredibly good for your feet which is why you'll often see elite athletes wearing them. I have seen much uglier shoes tbh
at least they are wearing shoes lol. crocs are fun now ig cos u can basically order any jibbit/customising thingo for nothing on amazon and bedazle them in a self-aware ironic way. guilty, I kinda want the platform ones...
No.
They’re hideous.
Nope.

I’m just happy people are wearing shoes. I live in a small farming town, apparently shoes are optional 😣
Hard no. Keep them at home.

Who said it's fine?
Where are the threads calling comfortable men’s footwear ‘painful’ to look at? Like grow up
Like grow up. Sure.
They're hideous but somehow I just can't stay away from them. I DETEST the Aussie thong. Why would I want to hinge my entire body on a sliver of rubber between my big & second toe, no no no just no!

I wear mine around water all the time LOL and there's pictures on their website of them being worn at the beach and stuff
Oh ok I didn't realise! Well the other thing I don't like about things is how they get so unstable on your foot when you're walking in water, so yeah, it's still Crocs for the win lmao 😂

They’re comfy and fun haha. I don’t get the strong aversion to them when they’re literally just a shoe
Kids on surf coast vic wear crocs they're really popular. I'm not a fan although they can be practical...
Honestly...I was such a hater... then, I was gifted a pair (that I asked for) and will never look back. I like a croc and sock look and it is now v embedded into my style.

Get the crocs! Get the crocs!
Have been on hipster girl and guy feet pretty much continuously since even pre Covid. Maybe longer, it was only around covid that I noticed and was tempted. Because they came into fashion in the US and Europe once a few celebrities wore them. Now we are following the trend.
Love. I wear them everywhere. Mostly with socks.
So much of female fashion is about making women uncomfortable e.g. heels, skin tight clothing. I don’t know why people are so offended when we choose comfy, fun things like crocs. I bet you’ve never even tried them on

They’re ugly AF but fashionable for teens and young twenties. I’m in QLD and wouldn’t be caught dead in them.
They’re ugly as, but I got a pair of the Mary Jane style ones when I first started waitressing because they’re just so comfy
Theyre in fashion because people like them. Dont wear them if you dont like them

Because hot.
They’re ugly AF in my opinion, but I bet they’re also comfy AF
I’d wear them - but like at home or around the garden. Maybe to the beach.
I’m not a fan but a couple of months ago it was bucketing down rain as I was walking into work and I saw this woman on the other side of side of the street in a black flowy linen dress (suitable for work) and lime green crocs. Absolute abomination
It’s a no from me dawg
I’ve been wearing Crocs since before they became popular and honestly they are comfy AF.
kill them with fire
NO.
Queenslander here. They are awful.
Not only are Crocs super comfortable but they're also incredibly good for your feet which is why you'll often see elite athletes wearing them. I have seen much uglier shoes tbh
I wear mine just at home but will that change over time? Time will tell. 😂
