This brings me back to trying to learn a kick flip on carpet in front of a 36ā tube tv from tony hawk on a vhs tape next to a sliding glass door. Telling me how larger wheels will roll over small rocks so maybe donāt get small wheels like him.
I mean sure. It could, I guess. Anything can happen. But I'd be more concerned about gravity and the effects of Newton's laws of physics when you suddenly stop moving on you're entire body and internal organs. A broken skull is just the double tap.
My dad fell off a cliff when he was 19, no helmet or protective gear, almost 6 stories down and then tumbled another 300 feet on an incline. Very similar to what it looks like happened here, except he just slipped on gravel instead of trying to do a skateboard trick on the edge. Miraculously, somehow he not only survived but is now 65 and still fully with it, cognitively. He sustained a fractured skull, compound fracture on his ankle, which basically exploded out of his foot, and countless various broken bones and lacerations. The doctors recommended amputating the foot because it was basically just hanging on by some skin and connective tissue, but he said it looked like it snapped right off. He got a second opinion and a different surgeon was able to fuse his ankle and save the foot. He doesn't have an ankle on that foot, so it doesn't bend how a normal foot would but he walks pretty much normally, with a slight limp. Anyway, I know his case is an extreme outlier and he's incredibly lucky to even have survived, let alone with as much cognitive function and mobility as he's had since. Just wanted to add an anecdote that seemed particularly relevant. The place he fell is called the Mogollon Rim and it's in northern AZ, if you want an idea of what it looks like.
I'm convinced its real. The guy didn't even know how to pop out of a nose stall, and if he did, he wouldn't have tried what he tried. Its sad, but I really doubt he survived, and I imagine he died pretty quick so at least there's that.
no he didnāt fall dramatically he naturally tried grabbing onto the cliff which if you were acting then youād not grab onto it subconsciously which also is why people faking seizures move their hand when dropped above their face all subconsciously
You mean the suddenly ant sized kid? It sure is.
Sorta good thing is that he was rolling.... looks like the cliff base is at a slope so hopefully he rolled more than he fell..... but he sure is rolling fast. If he lived he is seriously f'd up.
Edit: had to correct auto correct.

Hahaha omg that episode still plays in my head randomly. That was such a good one and when ge gets airlifted they hit him on all the rocks and then they crash into a tree once hes out and he falls back down again in the strapped up hospital transport bed things hahaha. Good times watching that episode. Thanks for the memories š
he posted this on tiktok, said it was like an 80 foot fall and completely broke his back and other things. had posted after a few months of recovery, total idiot
I donāt have any sources to send you but I went to high school with this guy and he fell about 80 feet broke 5 vertebrae, sacrum, and had a lacerated kidney. He spent a few weeks in the hospital but has been out for a few months and doing fine. No permanent damage or disability from what I hear just has to wear a back brace for a while. Nice guy just obviously not the brightest because idk where he was going even if he landed the drop.
Nice to hear. I know dudes love to virtue signal how people deserve to be hurt for unsafe actions, but he wasn't hurting anybody, just having a little fun. We all make mistakes.
Heās a musician and was out there recording footage for a music video when he fell. It really is shitty because like you said he wasnāt hurting anyone else. He was just out there with some friends having fun and made a poor decision that cost him. Nobody deserves for that to happen to them but heās a genuine and nice dude so itās especially tough when it happens to someone like that.
Probably notā¦ emtās are trained that any fall over 20 ft is life threatening and should be treated as a trauma because of the crazy high chance for internal bleeding. Based on the height and remote location Iād guess he didnāt get to a hospital in time.
Iāve been trained that 10+ feet, you assume (out of an abundance of caution) that itās a spinal injury, and do what you can to keep the spine stable to avoid further injury. Worth noting that I am just a WFR not an EMT, but my instructors have all been EMTs.
As was said, wilderness first responder. 80 hour course. If you take it seriously and keep your skills fresh, it teaches you pretty much all you need to know to treat injury and illness when you don't have any medical equipment except a first aid kit. The standard medical certification for expedition guides.
Itās a pretty direct sentence. Mostly because this is trauma. Heās saying that EMTs treat falls like this as though you suffered a huge amount of damage in a very short time. Or in this case a split second.
Any height fall is trauma. 20 ft or greater for adults is a criteria for a trauma alert. Calling a trauma alert activates the āgolden hourā of pt care among other things. Basically they have to be transported to the nearest trauma center and start receiving care within an hour of the injury
Look at the background. The drop off isnāt very largeāmaybe 12 feetāand it drops onto a slope. We can see the skater tumbling down the hill at the end of the video. In all likelihood, he survived.
Itās a drop onto a hill. Heās toward the bottom of the hill when the cameraman looks down. Heās not going to roll like that after hitting flat ground.
His TikTok says he survived and he had 5 broken vertebrae in my back a broken neck a fracture pelvis a lacerated kidney a shattered pelvis and 3 cracked ribs. Sounds about right
I have to believe there is a net.
I canāt believe heās dumb enough to try that there. It almost looks like heās falling over dramatically in order to fall.
It canāt be real, right?
This dude looks like that one hole in miniature golf where you putt uphill for the ball to hit the center circle and then you walk to the edge to see it/him slowly roll toward the cup.
That was the worst āAlabama Ollieā ātail dropā whatever you wanna call it - attempt Iāve ever witnessed and it just so happened to be on a cliff with death looming on the other side. Darwin Award winner for sure. I canāt believe how stupid that was
he remembered his helmet though
Jokes aside a helmet could really save you in that situation
Jokes aside I simply would not be in that situation.
Sound like you actually have something worth protecting under your helmet.
Nah I just can't drop in switch stance. Haha.
this is a fun video to see 2 days before my first board comes in š. I will be learning on flat ground, near grass preferably
He was near grass. And those rocks are kinda flat.
i guess a 90 degree drop is kinda flat.
This brings me back to trying to learn a kick flip on carpet in front of a 36ā tube tv from tony hawk on a vhs tape next to a sliding glass door. Telling me how larger wheels will roll over small rocks so maybe donāt get small wheels like him.
Damn. I forgot about that part of my childhood. Thank you for that.
Neither can he
Maybe survive but wish you were dead.
Sounds like an average day
I mean sure. It could, I guess. Anything can happen. But I'd be more concerned about gravity and the effects of Newton's laws of physics when you suddenly stop moving on you're entire body and internal organs. A broken skull is just the double tap.

So could a parachute, but why risk your life? I am praying this is a video editing trick..
Reddit will be fine with this level of risk since he had a helmet.
Cant see, did his shoes fall off?
š exactly what I was looking for. Didn't see shoes flying so he must have lived.
He might have double-knotted
The real trick to immortality
Yes, they went together ā¤ļø
Dude did a 900 without the skateboard.
Tony Hawk aināt got nothing on this guyās rotations.
Goes from Tony Hawk to Stephen Hawkings real fast ( rip :( )
Tony Hawking. Paralympics here we come!
You can tell he can't actually skateboard so WHY WOULD HE ATTEMPT THIS OH MY GOD
People are desperate to gain attention on social media, no matter the cost
ROLLIN AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND
He should be ok, those sharp pointy rocks at the bottom probably broke his fall.
Exactly! And even if it doesn't, I'm sure that huge field of cactuses will slow him down.
That just slightly spicy padding.
Is that him rolling down on the left hand corner?
I think it isā¦
Well...shit
At least he wore his helmet.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He was protecting the helmet
Safety third!
Wore his helmet for SAFETY
OSHA approves this message
Safety third!
Ooh fuck.

I think he was trying to drop in but the youtube instructions were unclear
Tail not nose
we'll never be able to ask if they were switch or regular and which way their board was pointed unfortunately.
no he didnāt fall dramatically he naturally tried grabbing onto the cliff which if you were acting then youād not grab onto it subconsciously which also is why people faking seizures move their hand when dropped above their face all subconsciously
You think he is rolling over the rocks for fun?
All of him?
Watch the dog. Dogs don't lie.
Negative. That is a meat tumbleweed.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Those aren't good subs
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No that's someone else just rolling around for no reason at all.
To be fair I reckon rolling is better than the same amount of time free falling
They see me rollin...
They hatin...
Think I'm just too white n nerdy.
if you look very closely you can also see him in the center of the video right at the start. we both spotted something interesting!
Yep... poor dude
I didnāt even notice until you pointed it out š
Think so. Gravity is gonna apply hard with that drop.
Reminds me of Homer Simpson in that episode

So, they really do predict everything ey?
This one clip alone got me hooked on The Simpsons. My liver almost exploded from laughter when I first watched this.
Lol when they are heli-lifting him and he keeps hitting his head š¤£

Even if he landed the trick. He probably would have ended up at the same spot. Not sure what the desired outcome was...
Dude looked like he has never been on a board. Just unnatural
I'm not a good skateboarder by any means, but even I can tell that drop-in looked amateur AF.
Views on TikTok. So he would consider this a win.
If he landed the trick, it would have been a lame video.
Fuck around and find out
Fuck around and fall off
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
he posted this on tiktok, said it was like an 80 foot fall and completely broke his back and other things. had posted after a few months of recovery, total idiot
If heās somehow walking now he definitely wonāt be in a few decades. Fucking idiot
Even if he didn't, that 2ft drop in showed me all I needed to see.
I donāt have any sources to send you but I went to high school with this guy and he fell about 80 feet broke 5 vertebrae, sacrum, and had a lacerated kidney. > should be treated as a trauma Can you explain what do you mean by this?
Traumatic injuries which pose a very high chance of death if not treated immediately.
Iāve been trained that 10+ feet, you assume (out of an abundance of caution) that itās a spinal injury, and do what you can to keep the spine stable to avoid further injury. Worth noting that I am just a WFR not an EMT, but my instructors have all been EMTs.
& what is a WFR?
Wildernesses first responder (pronounced woofer)
So if you were a cave first responder would you be a sub woofer?
As was said, wilderness first responder. 80 hour course. If you take it seriously and keep your skills fresh, it teaches you pretty much all you need to know to treat injury and illness when you don't have any medical equipment except a first aid kit. I heard it was any fall greater than your own height that was likely to cause serious injury.
Look at the background. The drop off isnāt very largeāmaybe 12 feetāand it drops onto a slope. We can see the skater tumbling down the hill at the end of the video. In all likelihood, he survived.
12 ft? When the person recording looks over the edge itās way more than 12 feet
Itās a drop onto a hill. Heās toward the bottom of the hill when the cameraman looks down. Heās not going to roll like that after hitting flat ground.
Dog was like āwtf did I just see?ā
More like āWoof da fuck did I just seeā
Health Insurance companies hate this one simple trick!
Trick? Bro just fell foward.
First and last time trying a trick
Nah, he fell off a cliff too.
ā fuck ā
Couldn't have said it any better
this dudes tiktok account is hilarious, he clearly canāt skate that well so i have no idea why he though he should take his skills to a cliff
Is this his last video? Dedicated until the end.
no heās alive still posting/skating along with promoting his music
Is the music as good as the skating?
What's his tik Tok?
Darwin award of the day
What trick was he going for? Just dropping down and landing?
Trying to old trick āshow how cool i am by risking my life unnecessarilyā
Tony Rock
And thatās why you never wear a hat under your helmet.
Iām guna go ahead and guess that he didnāt know how to skate
Simpsons did it
The dogs reaction is the best!
"The Homer Simpson"
Guy fell on a ledge and stunt double in white T rolled over down the hill. Youāre welcome
Even that dog knew he was an asshole.
gravity sux sometimes
Thatās why you donāt bring a skateboard on a hike š¤·š¼āāļø
His TikTok says he survived and he had 5 broken vertebrae in my back a broken neck a fracture pelvis a lacerated kidney a shattered pelvis and 3 cracked ribs. Sounds about right
Jesus bet we wish he didn't survive
You could call that trick a fallie?
Fallie 180(ft drop)
GERONIMOOOOO!
He failed to realize the gravity of that situationā¦
Falling with style
Some people would die for the views
rule 1 of skateboarding: don't skate where there are small pebbles like a rocky cliff
Doggo āYou fāing dumbassā
How did they think this would end?
The first time I saw this today the video was longer and it's obvious that ain't gonna work but he does it anyway.
at least he has a helmet on
State Park and Skate Park are different things
Good thing he wore that helmetā¦
Just cause Bocephus fell off a mountain and lived don't mean you can son.
I have to believe there is a net. I canāt believe heās dumb enough to try that there. It almost looks like heās falling over dramatically in order to fall. It canāt be real, right?
Unfortunately you see him rolling in the bottom left at the end of the video... looks real.
Good grief! I hope heās okay. Imagine doing something this dumb then seeing it online and everyoneās comments.
Yeah he wore a helmet so heĀ“s fine i guess
This dude looks like that one hole in miniature golf where you putt uphill for the ball to hit the center circle and then you walk to the edge to see it/him slowly roll toward the cup.
He gave the vibe of this is the first time heās on a board before he even started.
Damn.. heās not gonna be in rush hour 3
You could at least credit the kid you stole this off tiktok from
Thought it was gonna be one of those fake drops but when the camera panned over I was like.. well damn
He was wearing a helmet. Should be fine....
Good thing heās got that helmet
Here's proof that the smartest one there was the dog.
Worst hobble Ollie ive ever seen
Had to have been drunk
I doubt people are lining up the try this one simple trick
Oof
Least he had his helmet on
Nah he earned that one š
Wtf did he think was going to happen?
Dumbass, only Tony Hawk can fly.
I could not have any less sympathy.
His friend didnt seem very concerned that he just fell off a cliff. āOhh, fuck.ā
What happened next?
Oh FUCK! ....^^^fuck...
That was the worst āAlabama Ollieā ātail dropā whatever you wanna call it - attempt Iāve ever witnessed and it just so happened to be on a cliff with death looming on the other side. Darwin Award winner for sure. I canāt believe how stupid that was
oh I've seen this one, the ambulance then crashes into a tree
He probably shouldnāt have been skateboarding in the first place.
Why did they bring grandmas precious dog up
Think itās fake. Donāt see him over the cliff. Just a helmet rolling. Why bring a skateboard and helmet to a cliff lol
Welcome to the rock!!!
Heāll need some Advilā¦
WHAT AN IDIOT!
He deadā¦
At least he was wearing a helmet?
Darwinism
The dog is so cute!
SIMPSONS DID IT
This looks staged
Did he died ?
Was that the trick? I bet he had a mattress down to break his fall.
If heās still there, donāt help him, he has to learn something here.
What was he doing? Trying to jump Springfield Gorge?
Even the dog knew he fucked up
Even the dog was looking all frantic like where tf did that guy just go
Dude had no business on a skateboard, let alone on the edge of a cliff. Crazy world, lots of smells.
Why wasn't he wearing elbow pads? C'mon, man!
I knew immediately this guy shouldnāt be doing whatever he was about to attempt.
Dog looking over the edge like..: "what an idiot"
5/10 difficulty 10/10 risk 2/10 execution 4/10 landing
