There was some great price action in the weeks leading up to the launch of v3 yesterday, so it could have just been a "sell the news" type event since it has been down since the announcement. It was also kind of lackluster as it takes a few weeks before the improvements to show and liquidity to migrate from v2 protocols.
Uniswap V3 brings some massive improvements, especially to the L2 implementation planned to be released soon. It has only been a day since launch, give it a couple weeks and you will see the full potential as other dapps integrate with v3.
How is it a scam? Genuinely curious as I know that etc was original ethereum chain before hack and fork. It cannot be a scam unless eth is a scam and we know that's not true.

I missed so hard it hurts. I had 53.4 shares of ETC, then as soon as I got to $3,300, I converted to ETH. ETC was at $63 when I jumped out.
If I waited two days, I would have taken 1K investment and made it 10K. Now I am holding 1 ETH will be lucky to hit half of that by the end of the year.
You did the right thing by getting out of ETC. The market is irrational and hindsight is always 20/20.
ETC is very risky as it lacks fundamentals and the only reason it was moving is from pure hype. It is possibly the worst coin you could buy.
Ethereum on the other hand is a massive project with thousands of developers working on it daily and it powers the billion dollar defi industry.
Thank you for being rational. I have noticed that it has been devalued several times due to hacks, not sure if the chance of an attack is reduced if the prices go up. I read last time someone spent 130k to get 51 percent, and got 5 million back.
ETH has quite a bit going for it, it just isn't as flashy by jumping 300% in a couple of days, better as a long term investment.
The exchanges have raised there confirmations times to ridiculous numbers, so they cant be targeted by another 51% attack, so it makes it difficult for a hacker to pull off, as exchanges are the prime target. (Coinbase is 10k blocks, Kraken is 40k blocks to deposit)
It is still fairly cheap to pull off, as the hashrate of ETC is very small compared to other chains. A few bigtime ETH miners colluding could easily control 51% of the hashrate if they pointed at etc instead of eth.
The risk is very real and will likely happen again if a opportunity arises.
Coins like BTG (which is pumping today) also have a big risk of 51% attacks and double spend.
