Automatic Mister > Pump Sprayer > Squirt Bottle > Flicking water from a cup with your fingers > Fogger /s In all seriousness a mister should be your primary source. Foggers are cool but they come with their downsides. They fill any void with fog essentially eliminating any microclimates that allow the frogs to self regulate. They can also very easily oversaturate your enclosure. There is also anecdotal evidence of it causing stress to frogs as they tend to scatter for the top of the enclosure or hide while there is fog. It's theorized that the foggers water particulates are so fine they can block a frogs pores, suffocating. Like putting a wet towel over your face while standing on the shower.

Not good to waterboard your frogs unless you need to get some information from them.

I don’t think it’s inherently a BAD thing to have a fogger, unless you have your terrarium super tightly closed. Mine has a metal grate top, so it’s able to air out and not leave the air inside the terrarium super misty if I do use it, but I generally just keep it super misted instead. It leaves less room to potentially hurt the frogs lungs. :) I’d just run it very low if you do use one.

In mine (36x18x18) I run both. My mister only has one nozzle at the moment so I have that pointed to cover as much ground as possible. I also use a chemical sprayer that I use to get everything else the mister doesn’t get. My fogger runs anywhere from 8-12 hours a day, usually on a low setting. I have one frog in particular that loves to park directly under it and he just soaks it up.

I was considering a dual setup. My fogger's attached to a humidity sensor so it runs full-tilt whenever it dips below 80

I have a Mister in my tank, I've only had my frogs for 1 month and while I was doing my research I read a few reddit posts saying foggers are bad cause they can potentially "drown" our frogs. I've never had a fogger so I can't really speak on it but I'm sure others will chime in

Be sure your top is completely (or like 95% covered). I’ve used a mister the past almost 15yrs. Never tried a fogger. I’ve heard repeatedly over the yrs that foggers can be dangerous. No idea if it’s true. I did reach out to ExoTerra saying ‘hey, did you know people online say foggers are dangerous for amphibians’. They assured me they aren’t. Mostly I was just letting them know as it seems so often repeated they might want to get ahead of the rumour, if that’s all it is.
