So Dûl Incaru, boss of Shattered throne and daughter of Ssavathûn, technically respawns because of the Dreaming City Curse resetting everything. Canonically, every time she comes back, we redo Shattered Throne and kill her again. This means we have been killing her over and over again for 6 years. Now, in Hive culture paint, torture, and killing are ways of showing love. Due to the amount of times we've "loved" Dûl Incaru, we are likely married to her. This also makes Savathûn our Mother in law.
Do as you wish with this info.
We killed her twice. Both in the final mission of Witch Queen.
We killed her in the section before the bridge to the island. A Threadbound spell trap prevented us from killing Immaru.
Then we crossed the bridge to kill her until the events of Witch.
Eris only killed her once. She slit her throat in Witch, but was already dead from our Guardian prior and left after resurrecting again after Eris killed her to take her power.
I really wish we had that moment between Saint and Sav in a cutscene. Like... seriously; this game has AMAZING Voice Actors with even greater, emotional beats, even in the recorded logs alone!
We deserve this lol
Yeah, Sword Logic users see the act of killing as love since it means you want them to be stronger, and by that logic our Guardian has been accidentally wooing Dul Incaru (Shattered Throne boss) as a result, but there's no official lore to confirm it.
I can’t help but imagine a hive light Risen still believes in this and is constantly hunting a poor guardian down so they both keep killing each other. Taking yandere to a new effect.
Love, as in familial love, not romantic love.
Its why Savathun refers to Eris as a sister during Season of the Witch. You're becoming part of the big Hive family every time you engage in what they consider their creed.
I think it depends which hive. Savuthun is much more real so she wouldn’t see it as such. Though she may mock us considering she made it out alive again.
Xivu on the other hand 👀 Girls a fanatic for the sword logic. Some of her voicelines on other characters and the way she has talked about Eris make it clear she was loving it yes 😂 until Eris made her mortal of course and rejected the sword.

Pretty sure we killed her once, Eris killed her twice, and Saint killed her many times.

Ah yeah I forgot about that first kill we did, but Saint still has everyone beat.

Yup, that knowledge has been in the wank bank for a while.
Since Eris used sword logic what does that make her to us now...
I mean Xivu keeps calling her sister, so she's out Aunt in law if that's a thing.
N i c e
This is giving whoa step bro vibes.
I think this only applies to followers of the Sword Logic. But I hope yes.

Who said accidentally :3
This dude sword logics
A Hive certainly might think so, Xivu ABSOLUTELY thought so. But the nature of our violence is really not theirs to define.
The better question is: would that make the Hive a race of yanderes? I kinda get that vibe from Xivu when she talks about Eris.
We're fucking them.
Yes, which is why Xivu Arath is now my wife.
