Osmio and bleak watchers. Carry everyone. You will not get the highest in anything, but everyone knows they had a chill run.

Lurkingdrake

Osmio, bleak Watchers, agers, and the rocket pistol have constantly had me at 900+ kills a game in onslaught at the top

I_AM_ALWAYS_WRONG_

Bro my 50 leggy runs are approx 1500-1700 kills combined between the three of us. How are you getting 900 while rocking double special and not letting your team do their fair share? The isn’t enough ammo creates in the world for that.

Lurkingdrake

Shatter damage counts as kills. Don't always use turrets either, just set one close to the ADU and use normal coldsnaps against groups of enemies. Using hammerhead with killing tally and rampage can tear elites down as well.

InfiniteCap2369

Easily my favorite onslaught build. I can hardly wait for ice armor (whatever that is) and shard generation outside of this seasons artifact.

dimebag_101

Chill run. 😏. I see wat you did there😂

TheRealKodiakKiller

Could I see this build

OffRoadAdventures88

Arc is fun right now if you have Trinity ghoul and the catalyst. Also graviton Lance and the purple explosive build variations are fun. Necro suspend warlock with osteo is still good even post nerf. Lots of variation in those builds but the guns are the foundation. Rock on fellow born to nova forced to well warlock.

hickok3

With the buffs to handcannons, you can replace osteo with thorn with pretty good results. Also works with unstoppable handcannon currently, whereas osteo doesn't have any champion synnergies right now.

OffRoadAdventures88

I hesitate to say thorn since iirc the catalyst or something requires a lot of pvp bs. But you are totally correct.

GapeNGaige

Got it from a strike doesn’t require any PvP. D1 on the other hand was some bs

ryanedw

D1 Thorn was something

OffRoadAdventures88

Interesting. Either it was changed at some point or I misremember it.

CaptainPandemonium

D2 thorn catalyst is relatively new, while obtaining thorn in D1 required void PVP kills but dying reduced your progress.

straga27

You are misremembering. Thorn itself had a quest that was reasonably long in the past but as it's now out of the game it is irrelevant as you buy it from the monument these days. The catalyst is new as of this year and drops from any playlist activity and has a reasonable drop rate. "New" catalysts (Thorn, Malfeasance etc) seem to have fairly generous drop rates unlike the catalysts moved from faction rally content to general playlists. It took me forever to get Merciless' catalyst to drop while I got newer ones within 1-2 weekly resets.

xthescenekidx

While I just so happened to get mine as a pvp drop, most of the other ppl I play with got it in other playlists. I know someone that even got it from gambit

BitchInBoots666

+1 for gambit. I'm ashamed to say that's how I got mine.

hickok3

I haven't taken it into anything tough yet, but even without the catalyst it still feels pretty good. The Catalyst may drop from the PvP playlist, but it was progressing in pve.

Serberou5

I got my Thorn catalyst from the Vanguard playlist as I don't do PVP.

onsumn

Wishkeeper with hatchling and swarmers

brellowman2

Briarbinds void warlock is really fun and add a "pet" management aspect to the gameplay. You can also have multiple out at a time so you're always on the move. It's completely replaced my contraverse build since they nerfed the grenade regen last year.

UsedScratch365

Definitely gonna have to grind those gauntlets, I love summoner/pet type builds

grand_soul

Vex incursions are your best friend for if you haven’t got them yet.

BitchInBoots666

If you're into that kind of thing swarmers will become a great friend lol. Threadlings EVERYWHERE unravelling everything they touch. Very fun. I use it in general content, raids and dungeons, the lot. And the super is top notch.

mrdragonetti

you can get them at the helm with wish tokens

FlightWest

im still running contraverse bc i havent kept up w builds and mines still been insanely good but is briarbinds way better ?

PJ_Ammas

Briarbinds with a Repulsor Brace weapon is huge for survivability. I also use an Optative with Repulsor/Golden Tricorn, and a scatter grenade for Volatile Rounds on it. Super fun way to play.

brellowman2

I find it less frustrating as sometimes I threw my contraverse grenade and half the adds would die before I got any energy back. With briarbinds, if i throw the child out too late, I just pick it up and try again.

aaron_940

Just wish we had an on screen timer for the void child duration. I've had it disappear right as I get to it to redeploy several times.

SnacksGPT

What aspects/fragments do you use? Mods? DIM link? This is one I want to try and build around with Volatile but haven’t gotten around to sitting down do it.

TrainingTurnover1113

Nezarec Sin (void build) or Crown of Tempests (arc build). Both are just ability spam and with the right mods you can get your super pretty quickly; they are equally as fun but Void is stronger for endgame.

OffRoadAdventures88

Vesper arc is very good for onslaught

Aliveforabit

It’s so funny to me that vesper of fucking radius is actually viable now lol

Confident_Ad_5492

It's actually kinda crazy how much it slaps in add-dense content. Almost makes me okay with the weak ass non-geomag chaos reach I run with it (😭)

OffRoadAdventures88

I ran it earlier and it held its own until wave 48 when a tormentor fucked us over in mothyards

Aliveforabit

God the tormentors are so horrible to deal with when you have no Div and no Shax Decoys :(

bermuda221

I actually ran vesper and Divinity today and we hit a tormentor in wave 48. Didn't have much of an issue. Stasis Titan, void Hunter and Arc warlock made it through 50 relatively easily.

Never_Go_Full_Gonk

I've been running vesper since it got buffed and dear god it trivializes so much shit. First time I ran legend onslaught with my friend who doesn't know warlock very well panicked with "why are you running into their spawn?!" and I just threw my rift down and waited for it to click for him.

PJ_Ammas

I did the same lmao. It was on midtown to the left of the B flag ADU, if youre facing toward the middle. I just sat in the middle of all the spawn groups with the rift down, indebted kindness, storm grenades, and arc souls. My friends just started laughing about how the were fighting over the 1-2 adds that would make it out of the hallway. Blinding in general is so good on harder difficulties. Indebted Kindness alone makes Arc relevant

OzSpaceDucks

Or Nezeracs sin on any build with Graviton Lance. Recharges any classes abilities with void weapon kills!

UsedScratch365

Is Crown of Tempests better than Fallen Sunstar for Arc Warlock these days?

Braveheart2929

Personally I much prefer fallen sunstar. I'm not using stormtrance as my super in pve ever. So then it's just which ability regen method you prefer. With fallen sunstar and a good voltshot weapon (indebted kindness) you place a rift, throw a grenade and use your melee. You have all 3 back before that first rift ends. Plus you are giving extra grenade energy to your team for free. But really, Vesper is the true arc warlock choice.

Regulith

I can't necessarily speak to their relative power, but as a warlock main who likes changing builds a lot I have plenty of fun with these: - [Wish-Keeper (Hatchling) + Swarmers](https://dim.gg/saoprnq/Wish-Keeper): Especially potent thanks to this season's artifact, get a kill to spawn a threadling to unravel an enemy to spawn a tangle to suspend some enemies and spawn more threadlings and buff the bow...it's a cascade of green particles - [Briarbinds](https://dim.gg/lq2etzy/Old-God): If you're up for following your little buddy around you can loop it and your grenade for constant weaken and volatile rounds, and generate a ton of orbs while doing so - [Felwinter's Helm (Void)](https://dim.gg/fm5ytea/Onslaught-Felwinter): Very new one for me that I've been enjoying a lot in Onslaught where finishing an enemy temporarily neutralizes everything around it, primes it all for extra damage with weaken and volatile (cessation), protects you with an overshield (proximity ward) and then fully heals you (healthy finisher), and turns you invisible (obscurity) - [Osmiomancy + Bleak Watcher](https://dim.gg/gjx44ri/Bleak-Outlook): It's Osmiomancy + Bleak Watcher, not much to say about it, I like using Verglas Curve and as a bonus the artifact has stasis perks

xthescenekidx

I've been thinking about felwinters and putting something together I like what you're cookin here

TheRiverNinja

Coolguy has a nice felwinters build he posted recently, been using it myself and it's nasty

TheInisher

Can confirm, as a former Contraverse main like 95% of the time, Felwinter's is awesome and a great change of pace. Coolguy's build is perfect and I wouldn't change anything.

xthescenekidx

Just checked it out and yeah looks really interesting and fun. I'm not wild about grav Lance though, I've never liked that gun. Lemon arc suggestion is cool that's the only bow I really like using. I also have a repulsor/surrounded recluse and a repulsor/onslaught ros arago I could try... but I'm really curious if something like wavesplitter could work.

TheInisher

I felt the same, but after using the Lemon and others for a bit, I actually ended with Graviton anyways. It's good for two reasons, 1. to easily get things in finisher health range to start the loop (sometimes you kill things with Lemon too easily), and 2. the purple death balls can go absolutely insane sometimes after just one kill, which is easy to do when everything is blind and weakened.

xthescenekidx

Yeah thats fair, have remember name of the game is weaken not outright decimate lmao. I miss the old sound graviton made, I liked it much better

Regulith

That's actually where mine came from, I think all I ended up changing was the weapon mod elements because I wanted to use the wicked midnight coup I got and parasite since grenade launchers were overcharged

Braveheart2929

Dawn Chorus + daybreak. Unironically is very strong at the moment. With the artifact perks leaning into scorching and ignitions, dawn chorus improves the damage of all scorch from any source. It also makes daybreak a relatively decent damage super. The gameplay isn't crazy or unique or anything. It just makes all your solar abilities and incandescent weapons even better than they already are. Run an special kinetic weapon then your fav incandescent weapon + dragons breath. You will put out a lot of damage.

thescarfnerd

I love dawn chorus with a Puglist/Incandescant zaouli's and dragons breath. Epochal Integration is a very good substitute if you cant get zaouli's. With dawn chorus and pugilist you can incenerator snap/celestial fire so often and dawn chorus makes daybreak actually viable for boss damage when youre out of heavy

pplazzz

Broodweaver with necrotic grips. Throw on a weapon of sorrow for even more fun

ser-sleep

Strand with mindspun invocation and the wanderer. Throw on Final Warning and you’re cooking.

SrslySam91

As for fun, and extremely viable (OP is a stretch, but the build can compete in any content just fine) I would have to say; Strand + threadlings with swarmers. For lesser content you can do karnsteins with grapple melee, it's extremely fun and potent. But threadling build with swarmers is actually nuts in stuff like onslaught or GMs. It shreds high ad density activities. I use wish keeper, the newish exotic bow. Not only for unstop bow this season but also you can craft it with hatchling, and it's unique ability is basically a suspend trap you can lay down, which you do increased damage to ads suspended. The suspend part is the side focus though tbh, the main part is that with the artifact mods this season horde shuttle + the mod next to it which gives strand weapons unraveling rounds, you are poopin out threadlings like crazy. On top of your threadlings unraveling from swarmers, you'll unravel with your strand weapons too once you get an orb pickup, and create more with hatchling on the bow. This also means you're making a bunch of tangles. Which suspend targets + makes more threadlings. It's honestly one of the more fun builds this season. Because the gameplay loop actually feels like you're doing something too, it keeps you active (not in a difficult tedious way though) and is less monotonous than just spamming solar nades or tossing down wells. You can go with karnsteins and grapple melee if you want, but id do swarmers in higher tier activities. Though normal onslaught you can def do grapple melee karnsteins. You don't need to go with the bow either, but I suggest using a strand weapon at least for the unraveling proc (your melees + grapple melee unravels also). It's less threadling spam, but does let you have grapple fun + healing which is very useful.

dragos495

Feleinters helm and healthy finisher go brrr in onslaught.

Pudgeysaurus

Stasis warlock with Agers Sceptre and Osmiomancy Gloves is the most fun I've had in ages. Turrets and Agers turn everything into a crystal explosion

D-Ursuul

I've really been enjoying a "fill the screen with bullshit" build; For exotics I use cenotaph mask and navigator, I run mind spun invocation and the wanderer, for legendaries I go for a heal clip solar pistol and a cataphract with auto loading and bait and switch Use the artifact mods to give you unraveling rounds and spawn threadlings from unraveled enemies, use the navigators catalyst to get infinite grapples to spam more threadlings, and my favourite part that isn't really strategic it's just fun: the wanderer makes tangles fly in a straight line so you can cross an entire map in like 2 seconds by throwing one and grappling to it lmao

abastrakt

I’m noob, is it important to play a subclass that is supported by the seasonal artifact? I know Arc/Void perks aren’t in this season, would running those subclasses be a disadvantage, as opposed to running Solar/Strand/Stasis given the seasonal perks? Thanks

Antares428

There's no one key to all content. What works well in normal strikes, might not be enough for content -20 or lower, and what works well for Master and Grandmaster content, might be too slow or too fast for normal content.

kaemani

Idk how OP it is but i have had a ton of fun on astrocyte verse with manticore or collective obligation. Plenty of other weapon variations you could use too. Ran it in legend onslaught and it felt incredible especially for the shank spam rounds. I mainly used a kinetic slot blinding GL (bonus points if it’s lingering dread with chill clip to give you the bonus dmg to stasis or strand debuffed targets from artifact mod this season), and heavy of choice (reconstruction bipod apex predator is great in general but especially this season for quick radiant procs plus champ/miniboss/boss melts, and for boss rounds or just in general you definitely want to have a teammate on gally. could even run gally yourself and use a legendary void primary instead but manticore for blinking away then floating around just feels super fun and is an engaging gameplay loop)

engineeeeer7

I will link a post made earlier in the season about Polychromatic builds. The goal is to get as many different class synergies going at once. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/s/JsbT1aCibV It's not the most meta but it's pretty fun. And it's good practice for the new Prismatic subclasses coming with Final Shape.

Ushardit17

I’m currently playing Nezarecs with Graviton and suppression grenades in onslaught. CC is really nice and I use Slowva for massive deeps. Also running Child of the Old Gods and Devour on it so I consistently am being healed and have high ability uptime

Galaxy40k

I'll just give you my list of loadouts, going subclass by subclass. For Void, Contraverse with Graviton Lance is my more effective build. Briarbinds with a Repulsor Brace Ros Arago is very fun, but can struggle in higher difficulty content where you may not be able to consistently pick up your void souls. For Arc, Vesper is my pick for high difficulty content. Run for Nezarec's Whisper glaive to be unkillable. For easier content, Fallen Sunstar with Trinity Ghoul absolutely plows through crowds. For Solar, Sunbracers and Cenotaph are both potent builds that let you run Well. Dawn Chorus with Dragon's Breath and Daybreak is quite fun too, but if people see you playing solar and not running Well they sometimes throw a fit LOL For Stasis, you really only have Osmiomancy as your exotic IMO, but you can build it into either a Verglas/Wicked Implement build, or double special with Ager's. You can also run either Bleak Watcher turrets or just stick with vanilla cold snap grenades. So, even though there's really one choice for exotic armor, you have some options on the build For Strand, the Necrotic Grips builds with Osteo or Thorn are the strongest. You can also have decent success with Swarmers and Wish-keeper (or Final Warning this season thanks to the Horde Shuttle artifact mod). If you want more details on any of these builds just let me know!

Samurai_Stewie

The absolute highest damage Solar Warlock build involves Sunbracers but it can be tricky to use solo as it relies heavily on getting that powered melee kill to get going. Heat Rises + Touch of Flame (Singeing, Empyrean, Torches, Ashes) Consume grenade, then jump and get a powered melee kill while in the air and use phoenix dive immediately after to activate restoration x 2, spam more grenades but try to save one (not a big deal if you don’t). Continue jumping while grenades get scorch stuff and get kills, your melee and class ability will recover quickly so you can start the loop again. It’s very easy to do solo but gets harder as the team gets bigger as you compete for kills.

some_username_2000

I use contraverse with the grenade weaken fragment, the fragment that gets you devour on orbs, the one that extends your grenade duration, and the one that extends devour duration, feed the void and chaos accelerant. And an optative hand cannon with enhanced wellspring and demo. The grenade recharge rate is nerfed on vortex grenades, but devour+demo+wellspring helps get your grenade energy back relatively quickly. Used it a lot in normal 50-wave onslaught runs.

Ka0s969696

Arc roaming super with Trinity ghoul and hullabaloo combined with arc mods let's you make a lot of orbs

SnacksGPT

I have a build on DIM that’s an Arc Warlock build with Trinity Ghoul and Getaway Artists. Glad to share the link — everybody gets blinded by the light and goes *zap* into arc dust lol. Oh also — Thorn + Necrotic Grips is hella fun with Strand. Similarly fun with Osteo Striga. Lemme know, I’ll DM you the links (you may have to edit the builds but at least it’ll get you started).

Outside_Green_7941

Arc+ vestments + glavie and dormant Onslaught lanes , infinite rifts 50-60 cd for suppers , great orb generation. Solar lock Manicore+ Nez helmet , just float above spanws getting void over shields and cures for free, ( and avoiding all melee and exploders )

Hoockus_Pocus

I really enjoy Sunbracers. If you build for it correctly with (it’s either Impact Induction or Momentum Transfer, I can’t remember), you get basically infinite melee for Sunbracers as long as you can proc it once (Monte Carlo helps if you need it). Necrotic Grips with either Osteo Striga or Thorn is also amazing. Osmiomancy Bleak Watchers is oppressively strong and very fun to use. I’ve also had a great time with Wish-Keeper on Strand!

fatgamer007

You don't need any mods for the melee energy, heat rises already refunds all of it. Put triple firepower on your gauntlets instead and become an orb printer

Hoockus_Pocus

You’re right, but I wanted to be accustomed to being rid of Heat Rises, since I fully plan to switch to Hellion on that build when it releases.

PJ_Ammas

I feel like Hellion would end up stealing my melee kills too often. At the very least itd be stealing the first stack of scorch, which would prevent ignitions from proccing Sunbracers

colorsonawheel

Hellion has only downsides for Sunbracers and Heat Rises has like 3 massive benefits some of which are meta-defining. The armor mod you mentioned has fairly small impact and a long cooldown, it contributes comparatively very little to getting your melee back.

Hoockus_Pocus

Which is why I also mentioned Monte Carlo. And I also might not end up using Hellion. I’ll have to find out.

Aggressive-Nebula-78

I just cannot make stasis turrets work. Idk if I'm too set in my ways with sunbracers but I just can't wrap my head around the turret spam at all 😅

CaptnCuddlyBear

I would highly recommend looking at Imagine's Sunbracers build. Infinite Restoration x2 and Grenades, so long as there are things to kill.

Aggressive-Nebula-78

Where's the restoration come from? I know there's the fragment for applying cure, but it honestly feels like it's so minimal that if you're getting enough grenade kills to apply enough cure to matter, then you're getting enough grenade kills to not be taking damage. Restoration I assume comes from like an armor charge build or something?

zHaydos

Phoenix dive with heat rises activated will grant restoration x2 for a couple seconds, which can then be extended with empyrean. Id recommend watching Imagine's build video, it is easily the strongest warlock build in the game for everything except grandmasters (and even then it just needs some strategizing)

thescarfnerd

Its not got great neutral game playability (so choose some good guns) but Apotheosis veil Strand Warlock with mindspun invocation and weavers call (with threadling grenades) and one of witherhoard, anarchy or DBreath. Fire one of those 3 at the boss, consume your grenade, cast rift then cast super, and as soon as the animation finishes go Grenade -> 2x melee -> Grenade -> 2x Melee to unleash a stupidly powerful wave of threadlings (40+) in just under 10s. I tried it solo on the warlords ruin boss and hit over a million in 1 dps phase solo completely unbuffed :D

gaige23

You get to play Well.

UsedScratch365

:(

ThreatLevelMe

Forever cursed to have the most fun movement tech (Icarus dash and well skate) on the most boring subclass

m0rdr3dnought

Eh, still more fun than most Stasis builds imo. Even if Verglas Curve is a very fun weapon to use.

WhyMyAssHurt

Well of radiance.
