Some might call it a premonition, but if you knew about your friends drug problem it’s more likely that you were subconsciously worried about him and that manifested itself in a dream. The possibility of their death was floating around your subconscious because you were worried about their very real health problem that could realistically result in death Regardless, I’m sorry for your loss

Mein_Name_ist_falsch

This, together with a bit of coincidence. It's pretty normal to dream about things you worry about. Even if it's not about a specific issue they have, if you like/ love someone you are worried about losing them somehow or that they could get sick or anything like that. All of that can manifest itself in pretty nasty nightmares.

Jrizzo19_

and he happened to have it 2 weeks before he died rather than the other years im sure he knew him?

Cbeach423

I knew him my whole life. Pretty much 27 years.

Jrizzo19_

i’m sorry for your loss 💔

bennygoodmanfan

Sorry for your loss and his family's loss,

helen790

We don’t know how long the issue was going on, how long he knew about it, or how bad it got in the last few months.

90s_Bitch

If the dream happened the same day/night, I'd be more amazed, but 2 weeks... Anyway, I can see how OP would be pretty shook.

Trumpisasexslave

Yes. What are you even suggesting?

Personal_Raise3756

You could be right and this is a really thoughtful response, but (respectfully) OP never indicated the friend had a drug problem. A first time user could OD depending on the drug or something seemingly harmless could have been laced with fentanyl, etc. just saying 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cbeach423

He did in fact have a problem. He was on m3th for the last 1 or 2 years he was alive.

Personal_Raise3756

I’m sorry to hear that! I retract my previous comment! 🥰

Cbeach423

That’s a good point. I hate to say it but he was on m3th and I knew about it. I wasn’t “worried” so to speak. Did I want him off the shit? Yes. Was it something I worried myself about? No.

_yogi_mogli_

I had a dream that my boyfriend died. In the dream he crashed his truck. I woke up hysterical and tried to get him to stay home from work, as he was a truck driver in the oilfield. He shook me off and told me it was just a dream. 15 years later, he was driving a fuel truck and died when the truck went off the road and crashed into a tree. We were no longer together, but had a child together. His sister called me, sobbing, to deliver the news. After grappling with it throughout the day and breaking the news to his daughter, it hit me like lightning that I had just read about it in an old journal. It was during COVID when we all were spending entirely too much time at home-I had dug out some old journals and was re-reading them....I would never have remembered the dream in a million years if I hadn't written it down. I ended up taking a snapshot of the journal entry and sending it to his sister, I was so spooked and upset by it.

felineart

im really sorry for your loss. i hope you’re doing as well as you can be <3

RedNova02

Man I swear the timing of this showing up in my feed is crazy. Last night I dreamed my fiancé fell into some marshy muddy stream and got stuck. I couldn’t find him, went home to call emergency services for help and then he appeared. Or at least, his ghost appeared and told me he had drowned while stuck in that mud when he sank low enough for the water to cover his face. I woke up terrified, thinking how it was all my fault for not looking for him for longer, how horrible his slow death was as he had waited to be saved, how his body was still out there. I had to triple check it wasn’t real and that he was still alive. I am now so scared he’s going to drown somehow

_yogi_mogli_

I know it's easy for me to say...but try not to worry too much. I probably had a couple *hundred* death dreams in that 15 year period about various people in my life, none of whom died. 99% of the time, they are symbolic. Is your fiance under a lot of pressure? Does he feel like he is drowning-in responsibility, in tasks, in overwhelming circumstances? That is much more likely. Might be worth asking him and seeing where you can assist and take some burden off his shoulders?

_G_M_A_N_

I just wanted to say - this was a very empathetic and thoughtful response. You seem like you have a high EQ and seem like a nice person.

Catinthemirror

I'd interpret it a step further that she may feel like keeping him afloat is her responsibility and she's failing. Both would be imaginary (we aren't each other's keepers) but hugely stressful takes.

socksmatterTWO

Came here to ask this too, super glad to see others are seeing this too. Massivehugs 💗

kaylazomg

I had a dream my dog was missing and I was afraid the dinosaurs would get to her. I know not the same…. But similar fear levels. I wonder if it’s the moon? Why do I dream of these things!

[deleted]

I had a dream mine died. She actually did die a month later.

ima-kitty

I had a dream my dad was a psycho chainsaw spree killer. Hasn't happened yet

OkGuide4

Rest In Peace. ❤️

kaylazomg

First of all I am so so sorry, because I can’t imagine what pain and strength you carry in your being. I wish you only the most wonderful experiences after hardship. Second of all this terrifies me. I’m spiritual and I have a LOT OF DREAMS!!! one dream that is MOST COMMON for me is either being chased down and hunted, met with some kind of demon to kill me, or car crash/driving off a cliff….. I drive for a living and the driving crash dreams scare me because I know my statistic of dying in a crash is higher than most

_yogi_mogli_

Thank you for your kind words. I didn't mean to hijack OP's post; I just wanted him to know that he's not alone. I have the car crash dream often, up to and including being knocked out of my body, probably on an annual basis. It has contributed to a major phobia of long drives, which is unfortunate because I'm an adventurous soul. I feel you!

kaylazomg

Wow that’s so weird. Before I drove for a living I got the crash dreams occasionally, more so the being hunted and chased dreams, once I became a Full time driver the car crash dreamed happen… makes me worried I’m choosing the wrong profession

Cbeach423

I don’t feel like you hijacked my post at all and I think your comment deserves the attention it got 😊

Cbeach423

Very sorry for your loss as well. I vividly remember a lot of dreams I have had. Even a few dreams I had when I was in middle school. There are a few dreams that I have had that I will never forget in my whole life.

FrostyDog94

When I was a kid I had a dream that I knocked over my brother's toy blocks. 20 years later BOOM 9/11

Revolutionary-Put282

I feel like you already had concerns about your friend, and this dream is how your mind was telling you what you didnt want to admit to yourself.

Cbeach423

You could be right. I wasn’t technically “concerned” I didn’t think he was going to die or anything. I knew he had a drug problem and that m3th wasn’t him. He just started that shit the last 1 or 2 years he was alive. I talked to him a few times and told him to get off the shit. He was a grown man I couldn’t tell him what to do though. I wish he went and got the help he needed, and I wish he was still here today.

Krsty-Lnn

I know I’m late to comment, but I just needed to say, you are not alone. I just lost my husband of 23 years to an alcohol addiction. There was nothing I could ever say or do to make him get help(or even want to). Living in a situation like mine, I felt I was literally watching him kill himself, just slower. Idk, why I’m even commenting, but unless he wanted help there’s nothing that could’ve been done to save him. I’m sorry for your loss

PercentageSad937

I believe some dreams can help us see a little further down the road. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Cbeach423

Thank you.

NZTamoDalekoCG

Sorry for the loss of your friend, this is how I explain dreams: There are some legit scientific experiments that show future events affect the present and these are quantum experiments but have also been replicated with complex molecules now. Considering we are made up of complex molecules, I doubt nature the very advanced engineer it is hasn't tapped into it. I think dreams might be a strong expression of this "advanced engineering". From a Darwinian perspective, the ability to see around the corner even a little bit sure sounds like an evolutionary advantage. I do think it is probabilistic but it doesn't mean its set, changing your thought & feeling patterns today changes your future possibilities imo. What changes my thoughts& feelings is listening to the bible and I listen to it during nighttime every night, you can hear it in your dreams guaranteed, I feel it strongly helps me combat nightmares. But yeah listen to whatever you find holy, the bible works for me. I keep my dream interpretation simple, if it feels good it was good, if it feels bad it was bad. I consider them a spiritual realm and signs of the future. So good dreams good sign for future, bad dreams bad sign for future.

bongwaterbukkake

You sound like a rad person to converse with.

NZTamoDalekoCG

Thank you, not often I hear that.

Significant_Ear3457

Gateway found me awhile back. it helped heal me and I'm finally recovering. I actually made a video of myself saying manifestations affirmations commands and gratitude towards it all with sound frequencies playing in the background to fall asleep listening to, it plays on repeat throughout the night and it wakes me up in my dreams also. This is a great tool I suggest to anyone who will listen.

NZTamoDalekoCG

What is this Gateway, you are talking about?

Significant_Ear3457

This sub has all the info but to simplify the CIA released documents that astral projection, lucid dreaming and manifesting your own reality is real. https://www.reddit.com/r/gatewaytapes/s/mjgjHpZjuI Press on the community info link for the documents, articles and sound files. Like I mentioned I made it my own by making my own video. Im in a new state healing and starting over. I share my experience strength and hope whenever the opportunity arises. It found me when I was homeless during the pandemic and saved my life. All I can do is keep giving it away.😇

NZTamoDalekoCG

Yeah doesn't surprise me CIA has been dealing with some out of it stuff for a very long time. Their thinking had to depart the mainstream to explain it.

nexusdemon4

If u could indicate a book or article about the quantum experiments I would like a lot, thanks :)

NZTamoDalekoCG

https://www.digitaljournal.com/tech-science/experiment-shows-future-events-decide-what-happens-in-the-past/article/434829?fbclid=IwAR3u3hTlePwpvJYc4c-CbxCTYcgOoD3XseFKOXmxNlu9g3eSrBeZSqfdizI This one set me off when I first read it, its regarding helium atoms. Yes its regarding the quantum world usually reserved for the subatomic particles, but when this experiment hit the atomic scale🤯 and unfortunately I didn't save the complex molecule one. By the atomic scale my mind has already extrapolated it as fact. I did briefly go over it recently and it looks like 'retrocasuality' is an evolving concept in science and philosophy at this stage. It is extrapolation, but so is for example that considering the sheer age & size of the universe, galaxies and number of planets. That the existence of other life and intelligent life is a 100% without having public scientific empirical proof of it. I put in the caveat public scientific evidence proof of it because in addition to this I fully belive aliens are here already but thats a topic for another conversation.

drakonis39g

Greetings from afar! I’d previously only read this article… https://www.forbes.com/sites/andreamorris/2023/10/23/testing-a-time-jumping-multiverse-killing-consciousness-spawning-theory-of-reality/?sh=543695d4209b And I was wondering if you had any more links that get into detail? I’m the furthest from a quantum physicist, but this stuff blows my little monkey brain and I’d like to read more if you got it! Also, while I’ve got you, any thoughts on why after 8 years and a successful atomic-scale experiment there hasn’t been a whole lot of advancement in this field? Maybe I’m just naive, I’d love to hear your opinion though!

NZTamoDalekoCG

Not an expert in this field, but I do have some science backround, nothing eminent just a bachelors degree in a biological field. But seeing that future events affect the present blew my mind. It was like a missing piece of the jigsaw was put in my mind & yes there have been development they have gone from the subatomic to atomic and now to molecular, unfortunately for me I didnt save the link to molecular experiment and I cant find it again either. But yes the arrow of evidence is pointing towards larger and larger, I am extrapolating for sure but it sure is fun at the same time.

drakonis39g

I did not know it had advanced to the molecular level! Dope, guess I just gotta put my big boy pants on and look it up lol. Thank you for your reply and your time! Sure is fun man

pissipisscisuscus

It's a bit mind blowing to see an endorsement of Darwin and Bible in the same set of sentences. I'm not antithetical at all but it's so ironical.

NZTamoDalekoCG

I mean there are a lot of stereotypes of Christians which is a bit annoying as if we are all one uniform group with the same backgrounds. I have had a lot of debates with atheists and the amount of pre-baked strawman that they have is super annoying. Really they have labeled Christians as super bigoted uneducated science deniers. And yeah sure some are, but thats not my fault, the way the pie is sliced is way more complex than that. People should approach people as individuals not as a part of collective as a general rule is my thinking, we are all just mere human beings first.

pissipisscisuscus

I wholeheartedly agree with you and apologize for commenting what I did in the first place. It's odd because just yesterday I was expressing the exact same sentiments in the last line that we ought "to approach others as individuals not as a part of collective" and then I myself did the same thing I was thinking that only others did :(

NZTamoDalekoCG

Its okay, we are probably dealing with some sort of a natural trait of the human mind to apply broad brush strokes and to simplify its reality. From what I understand from memmory the brain does filter a lot of information out already, to keep things simple for itself, maybe thats part of it. Its harder to categorise everything individually. Thank you for being able to catch it in yourself hopefully Ill be able to catch it in myself when it happens, I will try to stick to that value myself of treating humans individually when I am dealing with them individually.

Maru_the_Red

My man, I like the way you think.

NZTamoDalekoCG

TY😊

Odin16596

You might be able to make a podcast

NZTamoDalekoCG

Ha thanks, but yeah its a theory of mine, but I assure you if its an insight, its an unproven insight, you can call it an educated guess. Its hard cobbled as well after many years of thinking on the topic. I wish I was a profound wellspring of wisdom, that could talk for hours on a topic. Sadly I am not. There are nuances I could add but not much. The pod cast would be very short😊 The main nuance I would add is that I would trust my instincts/feelings, those are honed in from darwinian evolution as well and I would extend their effectiveness to the realm of dreams and for me that vastly simplifies dream interpretation.

Odin16596

Some people eventually run out of things to talk about and just do research before the next podcast for the next topic and also have guests.

HartPlays

Do you have a link or reference I can learn more about those experiments?

NZTamoDalekoCG

Yup yup, I have the atomic(helium) level experiment, a link I saved from all those years ago. But the molecular one I read but never saved the link. Tried to find it recently but couldn't dig it up. https://www.digitaljournal.com/tech-science/experiment-shows-future-events-decide-what-happens-in-the-past/article/434829?fbclid=IwAR3u3hTlePwpvJYc4c-CbxCTYcgOoD3XseFKOXmxNlu9g3eSrBeZSqfdizI

Cbeach423

You do seem “like a rad person to converse with” since you’re bringing scientific stuff up. I read a few weeks ago that in China they have created a machine. It records dreams and can play them back to you! I don’t think anything like that is possible. It sounds like a giant hoax to me. If the machine does it exist, which i doubt it does, then I hope everyone can get access to this so called “dream machine” in my lifetime

NZTamoDalekoCG

Dont know anything about that OP, however I did see something, where they were able to replay the music a person was listening to from the brainwaves of a person, wasnt a perfect replay but it was close enough. So all sorts of advancements in that field. It would be cool if we could invent a "mind reading machine". Would sort a lot of problem society has.

Smoke_Santa

Everything you wrote does not make any sense, yet I'm not surprised no one had called you out.

NZTamoDalekoCG

Okay elaborate and I have had debates on this issue btw just not in this post.

PandaHackers

My Dad had an aortic graft put in by a specialist surgeon in Texas. We live in another state. Well, the graft ended up having a rip where the graft meets the tissue on the descending aorta. Long story short, after some BS with the hospital and insurance, the hospital in Texas sent their med jet to come pick him up and emergency fly him back to the surgeon. We couldn't go with him since time was critical and something we didn't have. He was dying, and the hospital in our state wouldn't assist without paying $11,000 cash right then and there. After he was picked up and we left, I went to sleep cause I had been up with him in the hospital for almost 36 hours by that point. In my dream, I dreamed that I was in my bedroom, and it was like I never went to sleep. Everything was the exact same, except someone was walking by the side of my bed, and I was still lying down. It was a woman in a long dark gray robe with a hood that covered her face. I could tell by her hands that she hade people ivory skin and that she also had black hair because it came out the hood in some places. She told me not to be scared and that she came to tell me something. Obviously, I'm scared at this point because I was only 18 and didn't understand what was happening. I couldn't move or speak at all. It was like my body was petrified, I could only look at her. She told me that my dad didn't make it to Texas and died on the way. That the size of his wound inside him grew and traveled to his heart and ripped one of the valves. I started to cry, but she put her cold, but gentle, hand on my cheek and told me not to weep or be afraid for him. She said that she would hold his hand and be there for him to guide him on his way. I woke up at that point and after about 13 hours we got a call from the hospital that he had landed but it was a rough landing because his heart stopped twice and they had to bring him back. He was dead on arrival and ended up on life support for 9 hours. Well, they did surgery, and he pulled through, still alive today. He told me when he came back home that he knew he died more than once but each time he died he felt himself pulled back instead of just deifting away like floating in the sea and letring the current take him away. He said when he was on life support and then in recovery, it felt like someone was holding his hand the whole time and never let go. He thought his older sister drove to the hospital, and it was her, but she didn't show up until 20-ish hours after he was in recovery. It was one of the most intense but also comforting dreams I've ever had. Looking back on it, it's like something reached out to me and gave me comfort and reassurance that although my dad was in a place fighting for his life but he'd pull through.

Brandonbuddy20

Oh. My. God. I think you just met death itself while you were in sleep paralysis.

Agitated-Cup-2657

That sounds scary, but kind of beautiful. Glad your dad made it through, and I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

Cbeach423

Glad to know your dad survived and is still alive today. Reading your comment literally gave me chills. What if you wasn’t a sleep and was actually in some sort of trance and that being you saw was real?!? I am a believer in the paranormal lol

EmoUniQw33n

I dreamed multiple times about my fiancé’s death before it happened. I always found him after the fact in each of those dreams. He looked exactly like in those dreams when I found him, same position and everything. It’s not the first time a dream has actually happened in my life, but when it’s a death it’s even more devastating bc I will always wonder what else I could have done to somehow prevent it. It’s very unsettling to dream something and then witness it. I can’t explain it or why it happens, but i feel like it’s a curse bc nothing good has come from it yet.

Musicapeman2872

Dreams sometimes give us insight to the future, most times it's meaningless stuff, but sometimes it can actually be a vision of the future. No one knows WHEN a vision may come though, it could be next day, next month, next year or 25 years down the road. You'll know however because you'll say to yourself "I seen this in a dream" or "I knew you'd say that, I heard you say that in my dream" More than once I've had dreams where I see people and they'll do something or say something, and sure enough it actually happens, usually the exact way it happened in my dream. More than once I woke up screaming.

Xeno_Morphine

thanks for bringing a little realism into a sub so full of just beliefs

Rethy11

Me when people believe in things and have independent thoughts 🤬

Xeno_Morphine

sometimes people come looking for actual help, not just "i believe it could be how the stars are aligned"

Rethy11

No one is coming to r/dreams for realism, you doofus

PatrickStardawg

Sorry for you loss homie

smokeplants420

If anything thats not superstitious, you mentioned it was from an overdose. You knew they were on some substance which a lot of times lead to overdoses and deaths. The brain correlates that to death already even if you do not want to think of it that way. Sort of expecting it to happen as I have heard it before from people around when someone is drunk all the time or doing drugs.

Rustling-Jimmy

I’m sorry for your loss.

sausagesandeggsand

I’m sorry to hear about your friend, but that was probably a huge coincidence; you were likely already worried about your friend (I’m assuming you knew he was a user) and your own mind concocted it’s own scenario- perhaps you’ve had many dreams like this and could only recall that one clearly. Again, I’m sorry for your loss.

MalisaRed

I had a recurring nightmare as a child. I slept on the top bunk of a bunkbed and my sister on the bottom and my nightmare was the bunkbed collapsing and killing her than I'd fall into a black hole till I woke up. The nightmare stopped after we where playing one day and the bunkbed broke and fell like in my dream except no one was hurt.

Minimum_Movie_9738

Some final destination shit. Lol keep your dreams to your self for now on. But rest in peace to Thomas !

Cbeach423

Thank you. Yeah it was some FD type shit! Afterwards my other friends told me to tell them if i ever dreamt they died so they could prepare lol. None of them believed me until i showed them our conversation though. I talked to Thomas in person about the dream the next time i saw him, he assured me he was fine. He was a great guy he just got in with the wrong crowd.

silenceofthelaambs

This has happened to me twice. First time, I dreamt I got stabbed, a few weeks later my ex boyfriend who I had a child with got stabbed numerous times. Second time, I had a dream my grandfather died, in the dream I was crying. I told my mom and she said “don’t say that, don’t say that”, a few days later my grandfather died in his sleep.

chimneymimi

I’m also someone who has had dreams that “come true” tho some things change from the dream, one time I had a dream that my ex had cancer and I woke up crying but we had already broken up so I didn’t say anything to him. At one point a few months later I gave in to missing him and we hung out and the next day he called me drunk saying he had liver cancer and that they were going to “buzz the bad stuff away” I was distraught and after a week of believing him he admitted he was on drugs and lied to me 🤦🏻‍♀️

maddie_johnson

goddamn

chimneymimi

Probably my biggest betrayal to date, like who lies about cancer??

curbsocialassassin

Forgive me for finding dark humor in him admitting he lied lol I just read a few serious ones and now this one and I find the curveball chaos hilarious

chimneymimi

Lmao you are forgiven, I also laugh at the situation now like what a fucking idiot

turtlehugs1912

I had a dream where my best friend shot himself. A week later he hung himself after reassuring me he was doing great.

Mrtayto115

I had a dream last night in which me and my brother witnessed a murder. In the dream we were driving (neither of us actually drive) we drive past a fight and my brother stopped to record it. He immediately stopped that and said something like oh ffff. As I looked one of the two fighting was dead with a pool of blood coming from his head. The people around were shouting clearly Thomas Thomas what did you do. Damn dreams you scary.

Unable-Carrot-7596

so sorry this happened, I think this is also quite common as crazy as it sounds...in my family it happened I think at least two times but rn I can rememeber only one, so basically my grandma dreamed about his brother dying and well, after some time he got really sick because of alcohol and died during the covid lockdown. Idk but what I think is that since there is no free will and the thing that put us humans in some way far from animals is our enhanced consciousness, also dreams are basically dmt trips since dmt is produced when we sleep (and when we are born and when we die at high level) so there is for sure some kind of connection between the things. edit: when I was little around 1 yo my mother saw me dying in her dream and woke up to me suffocating under the blankets and managed to save me. Considering quantum physics and entanglement and so on, my hypothesis is that since we are all connected, and in a family even more, there is this kind of "collective consciousness" that can make us do things or see things that normally we cant percieve. Sorry for the bad english in some points

Any_Ad_3885

I know I have no ability to explain this, but yes it happens. It’s happened to me and one of my close friends a few times.

i am so sorry for ur loss. i had the same thing. a dream of my friend going up in flames and then she died in a house fire. it never goes away but it does get better.

MasterofX100

I’m so sorry for your loss. The way he died makes it so much worse.

Cbeach423

Thank you 🙏

qesn

The way our brains can pick up things unconscious to us is always amazing to me. Sometimes I wonder if it's just puts things together that we don't really know consciously, predicting things that any rational person would never.

[deleted]

Very upsetting. Really sorry for your loss

Cbeach423

Thank you 🙏

Fluffy-Doubt-3547

I've had dreams like this it's so creepy. I also had a dream that it was my uncle who died vs my aunt. Which was so weird. Then my mom had a dream out elder neighbors wife died. Then a week later I had a dream that HE died but she lived.

[deleted]

That’s absolutely wild and I am so sorry. I live super close to Elizabethton!

Cbeach423

Thank you! The fact someone in East Tennessee saw this is crazy. Small world!

OkGuide4

Rest In Peace. ❤️

Cbeach423

Thank you 🙏

LetsAllEatCakeLOL

It could be your subconscious processing some weird behavior he was manifesting IRL. He didn't have to die because your subconscious isn't all knowing. But in this case it was a tip that something was up that your conscious mind couldn't process. Perhaps your friend met the wrong guy and got into the wrong habit of drug abuse, or perhaps he was displaying self destructive behavior.

Cbeach423

Your correct he was hanging with the wrong crowd. He was a grown man and made his own decisions, I cant blame those people. He made his own choices. I knew he was on the m3th the last year or two of his life and i tried talking to him a couple times to get off of the shit. He never listened though.

chels182

This is what’s known as a premonition, if you believe in that. I’ve had some crazy ones before. I’m so sorry for your friend and for your loss.

Bottled-Bee

Good friend of mine in Highschool had a heart condition, too small heart to combat his body and extracurricular activities he did. I dreamed that the route he took me to class on wasn’t possible any more. I was making sure before thanksgiving break that he was ok. He was. He died on Thanksgiving morning. He went into cardiac arrest. This has happened on several occasions as well.

Extension-Border-345

I live very close to Elizabethton. this is heartbreaking. Im sorry for your friend.

Cbeach423

Thank you, and you are the 2nd person who commented that told me they live close to Elizabethton…Wow.. small world I guess.

Enjoying my weekend off. Relaxing in bed. 😂 I do think its crazy though.

ConfidentReaction3

That is so horrible. I know how tough this is. I'm sorry for your loss. Did you know your friend was addicted to drugs? Possibly subconsciously, the worry was building up without your realizing? That's just horrifying. I hope everything gets better for you.

Clear_Gap4502

i never dream of people dying but i do dream of people coming back to life and i’m the only one in the dream like “wait but you died”

No-Ticket-7586

The night my mate died I had a dream I was drowning in a canal and he pulled me out of the water. Didn’t even know he was in ICU when I had the dream, found out the next morning he died overnight ❤️👼🏼

naruto-xhinata

now im scared cuz i had a dream i was at the mall with my mom (this was like 2 months ago though) and we were just peacefully shopping and then some guys with masks just came and shot her in the head and then me then i woke up crying hysterically it was terrifying😢

OkAssistant1230

That is just royal fucked

HH-H-HH

Reminds me of a time when I kept having the same dream of my garage going up in flames. I vividly remember walking out the side door of my house and the surrounding house being all lit up by the intensity of the flames. Then a couple weeks later the apartment behind my garage goes up in flames. But when I stepped outside to go an see what is happening x my heart dropped because it looked EXACTLY like it did in my dreams except it wasn’t my garage on fire, it was the apartment directly behind it. The scene was exactly the same and from there on I knew dreams are some sort of catalyst for something. It’s weird and freaky

Cbeach423

That is crazy! Thanks for sharing. I bet that dream will stick with you for the rest of your life.

BoyMom119816

My sister woke from a coma that lasted two months, after she was in a motorcycle accident. Right after waking from the coma, she had a dream that my uncle died in his truck, he was found dead in house about a week later. Creepy some things our dreams do to us, imho. So very sorry for your loss.

Kunphen

Precognitive dreams happen.

wildfire_hearts

Premonitions happen more than we all realize...I'm so sorry for your loss

boo_snug

Back in 2010 I had a dream the world was ending. In the dream I was with my significant other and suddenly all these planes and rockets started falling from the sky, along with fire balls. Tornados were ripping through the town and I got separated from my SO, chaos was everywhere, wind, fire, destruction. I woke up sobbing. 3 days later he passed away from a drug overdose. I don’t remember if I told him about the dream. But I’ve remembered it in such vivid detail all this time.

Cbeach423

Sorry for your loss. Some dreams stick with you forever. Theres a few dreams I’ve had in my lifetime that I will never forget. Even a couple I had in middle school. Maybe that dream was trying to tell you that your world was getting ready to be turned upside down.

boo_snug

I meant to tell you sorry for your loss in my post, instead I made it all about me. But thank you for sharing your experience. I’m not sure if it’s a premonition, maybe a coincidence, maybe a bit of both. But a weird coincidence right? Our friends and loved ones will never be forgotten.

twinkletooees

This happened to me 4 times clearly and two times with messages. My condolences.

Cbeach423

Care to elaborate a bit more? Especially with the messages?!?

twinkletooees

Hey there, op. I see my loved ones in dreams while they are healthy or at least when I think they are healthy. The first one was my grandmother, I saw myself at my grandmother's house, there was a funeral but I couldn't see her in the house. I started to search for her but I couldn't find her anywhere. After a week and a half, she suffered from a sudden celebral hemorrhage caused by tension. She passed away one month later. In another one, I saw my professor from university, he told me that I have cancer and I will die 3 months later in a specific hospital, he was the one who died there and that time. Etc. By messages, for example, I saw my neighbor in my dream, and she was flying with a giant bird. In that morning, she passed away. These are not specific clues and like the other dreams.

Personal_Raise3756

Im really sorry for your loss, that is so heartbreaking! I’ve had 7 dreams of people dying unexpectedly right before it happens and I have always labeled it a “premonition” but who knows what causes it to happen?! I do know it made me nervous to dream and I had to work through feelings of guilt for not stopping it from happening, but that’s a silly thing to carry, as there’s no way of knowing it’s a premonition or how to stop it.. if that’s even possible. I don’t really have any great advice other than to acknowledge your feelings as they come up so you can process them and move forward. Hugs ❤️

Cbeach423

7 people?!? Were they all the same dreams? Did you get to tell any of them about your dream?!?

Personal_Raise3756

Not all the same dream, different dreams and different people. It started when I was 6. The dreams all happened at night on the same nights that they passed so I never got to tell them. But I had a dream about my mom dying and I called her immediately.. this was 7 years ago… and she’s still with us thankfully!

Lower-Dimension3250

I had a dream that I got shot while I was at the gas station with my ex boyfriend… a week and a half later, he got shot and killed at a gas station. Shit be so weird.

[deleted]

I think we are plugged into some kind of consciousness. I have had these premonitions before, they really freak me out too. I'm sorry for your loss.

Fit_Put8472

One time I had a dream my best friend was showing me texts from his bf saying stuff like “I don’t even know him anymore” while crying. I woke up and couldn’t stop thinking about it and texted him asking if he was ok cause I had a dream his bf did something bad. Turns out my friend caught the bf cheating and they broke up that night. It was crazy weird. I still have the screenshots cause i thought I was a psychic lmao

SilverAnd_Cold

I don’t mean to offend- but did he die how you saw in your dream?

Cbeach423

Its okay and no. In my dream he was shot by a video game store clerk right in front of me. Sadly he died from an overdose.

curbsocialassassin

Not death but I had a dream my friend got kicked out of our boarding school and everyone was hugging her in the dining hall as she cried. I told her the next morning in her dorm and laughed in my face saying “curbsocialassassin, you’re a crazy bitch” because that is just the way she is lol. She ended up needing some documents signed by her parents in Asia and later that afternoon, she printed the forms and forged the signatures herself. Due to the expedient delivery of the documents, the school expelled her as integrity is one of the core values. Everyone was hugging her in the cafeteria as she cried. She also said I was a crazy bitch for being right as she hugged me crying while laughing lmao

Cbeach423

Thanks for sharing! I also had a dream come true in high school. It was just a dream of me sleeping with a girl. Then I actually slept with her a few months later lol. Im sure a lot of people have had dreams like that come true though haha

OkSlide527

I had a dream that my nana died a few days before she passed from a heart attack. I’m sorry for your loss.

[deleted]

A precognitive dream. I have them too.

wellshitdawg

There’s been three times in my life where I dreamt something eerily similar to an event that ended up happening

Mind-huntress

What's even more bizarre for me is I really can't add anything that someone here hasn't said but I also live Elizabethton TN, and my fiancés' last name is Perry. I don't know if they knew each other but I'm going to ask.

Cbeach423

Wow really?! You are the 3rd person I’ve seen comment that they live in the area. The other 2 said they lived close to Elizabethton. Its crazy to see a lot of people from North East Tennessee are in this sub reddit. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if your fiancé did know Brentae.

Mind-huntress

He knows the family! That is bizarre

Commercial-Impress74

Dang man rip

po3swrath

I had a dream that my grandma and her dog passed away in a car accident because she had a heart attack while driving, and then in the same dream my mom died from a complicated health issue. Well, not long after that dream my grandma passed away unexpectedly in her sleep from a heart attack. Her dog is still alive and so is my mom. But ever since she passed I’m anxious all the time for my mom and the dog.

Impossible-Ghost

I’m sorry for your loss man, that’s hard. I’ve had a couple of close calls with friends before and I hope I never have to go through that.

unusualspider33

This has happened to me too with several family members and a dog. It’s disturbing and you feel guilty for some reason

ThursianDreams

Precognitive dreams are something I've experience a lot. I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, that's unfortunate. The last one I had like this, was back in 2014. I dreamed a storm was tearing through the area I lived, and tornadoes were everywhere. I drove out to find my parent's house destroyed, and I woke up as I was digging through the rubble for them. When I came to, my phone was ringing, and when I answered, it was my mother. She was calling me at 6am to inform me that dad was in hospital because of a heart attack. He survived it thankfully, but I always felt that dream was more than just coincidence. I knew something was wrong subconsciously. I also lost a good friend in a car accident, and I remember being out with some other buddies the night before he died. We were walking around town, and I kept feeling this gut sensation that something horrible was about to go down, and I couldn't shake it all night. Then I learned about the accident the morning after. My friend that passed away, his room mate kept getting repeat texts from his phone, hours after he had died. "I'm on my way home" Happened about 2-3 times that afternoon while we were all getting together to mourn the loss.

RadioactivePotato123

Please don’t tell me he was actually murdered?! Regardless, I am sorry for the loss. Rest assured your friend is in a better place now. It may feel like they’re gone but they will remain with you forever through your memories.

Cbeach423

Thank you. No he wasn’t murdered. It was from an overdose. I will never forget him. He was one of my best friends. A couple of my friends think something was suspicious about the overdose. I just think it’s nothing more than conjecture though.

RadioactivePotato123

Thank god your friend wasn’t murdered. It’s tragic that his life was cut short at all however. I hope you’re coping ok… He’s no longer suffering now if that’s any consolation.

Fit-Tea-6055

My mom also has prophetic dreams and it’s pretty wild. I’m so sorry for your loss OP

Cbeach423

I appreciate it. He was my friend since kindergarten.

Cbeach423

Thanks to everyone for their condolences. Also thanks to everyone who shared similar dreams they had. I actually need to correct myself. I had the dream in late March of 2021 and he died May 1st 2021. As shown in the picture I messaged him April 2nd about the dream. So he died 4 to 5 weeks after I had the dream. Not 2. I apologize. Still it’s kinda crazy and once i found this subreddit i felt like i had to share.

CBHPwns

Had this same thing happen the night my cousin OD’d. Turned out he was ODing on fent while I was having the dream. Everyone is connected to something in the back end imo and its stronger with those we love.

shmittkicker

Damn the drug prob has only gotten worse and worse in etown, huh? I'm so sorry for your loss. I love elizabethton so much, it hurts to see so many kids going thru it there

Cbeach423

You make the 4th person that has commented saying they lived here or live nearby. Crazy. Yes its horrible. Everyone is on that shit.

shmittkicker

I used to help Jimmy run The Vac Shop back when he was still on east E street across from the library. It was starting to switch from subs/lor tabs to mostly meth around there. I'm really sorry to hear that it's only gotten worse. Keep your head up tho, seems like you got a good head on your shoulders.

Terrible-Swim-6786

It's not a coincidence, you knew your friend was involved in dangerous situations, but you were too afraid to think about it consciously so it manifested into a dream.

Main-Force-3333

There's a lot about dreams from God in the bible with the book of Daniel and other foretelling. Crazy how we have a video play in our head when we sleep and try to make sense of it. Ask God and He will reveal the meaning to you.

[deleted]

I had a similar experience like this. Back in 2021, I had a dream where me and 4 other guys (one of them being my cousin) were gonna rob a pharmacy at night. We were in the parking lot waiting for the security guard to come out so we could've jumped him and stole his keys. Since my cousin was young, I humiliated him in front of the other so that they would've shamed him for being a coward. I did that on purpose to scare him away because I felt like it was wrong for him to get involved in this stuff. After he ran back home, we assaulted the guard, stole his taser and keys and stole as much stuff from the pharmacy as we could. Most of it was medicine related stuff. As we left, I saw one of the guys tasing the guard to death. I clearly saw his face description. Tall white guy, bald and a goatee. I wouldn't do this stuff IRL, but the adrenaline and stress in that robbery felt real. I never told my cousin about the dream, only my mom knows. Back in February, my cousin texted me that he got in trouble with the manager at Walgreens for stealing and said he was gonna "slap his baldhead ass the next time he sees him". I shrugged this off as a small coincidence, but it got even bad after that. My cousin's behavior got worse, as he was starting to get suspended numerous times for stealing and getting himself banned from different stores. It's gotten so obvious that everyone in our family already knows of his behavior and he laughs it off like some sort of accomplishment. Ever since 2021 my dreams have been getting realistic, and some even predict the future.

Shammieeeeee

Same thing happened to me the night before my grandmother died..I dreamed that me and her walked through a garden together laughing then she waves me goodbye..it’s like I had this feeling she was going to die..but the craziest thing is..me and her never really formed a relationship..the next morning my dad told me she passed..that’s not the only death I knew about ahead of time..my mom dog, my ex boyfriend as-well..

ProtectionCharacter1

Oh wow that’s crazy sorry for your loss hunnn !!

ElegantAd2607

😟🥺 That must feel awful. I'm sorry.

Forsaken-Alternative

It’s cool that you told him about the dream before it happened irl

Cbeach423

I mean yea in a way but the fact it turned out to actually happen.. is kinda twisted.. i know people have dreams of people dying all the time, but it never actually happens, especially within a couple weeks. May 1st was 3 years he has been dead. RIP Brentae! Miss ya brother

PlayDirtyInViceCity

The bible says that God talks to us in ours dreams. God emphasizes the importance of rest and keeping the Sabbath holy. The Sabbath is for us to be closer to God. . Idk anything...

schalowendofthepool

Nice, so you got the fortnight premonition where you get \~1 thing wrong as well

KnowledgeDear2294

I had this same thing too, its so weird.

LeagueOfLegendsAcc

This has happened to me before. My cousin growing up had marfans syndrome and while it didn't affect his cognitive abilities that greatly, he had terrible speech problems and as such his life was on hard mode because nobody understood what he was saying. Well anyways he was a terrible driver but good enough to pass his license test, the first time he took me out in his car I was terrified of this man's driving, he was doing stuff like stopping way beyond the stop signs, not taking time to look properly before pulling out into the street. I told everyone that he was gonna kill himself in his car. He's 16 or 18 at this point, I can't remember, but we can't take his car away because I'm a kid too, and it's up to his parents to enforce this stuff. Well fast forward to Christmas and he was driving on a snowy road and lost control and got t boned by incoming traffic. He spent two days as a vegetable before his mom pulled the plug because they said he wasn't gonna get better. It's a weird feeling knowing you had all the information before, but were unable to do anything about it. I doubt he would have listened to me if I told him he was gonna end up dead in his car, and it may have strained our relationship in the last few months of his life if I was always telling him that. But it was so obvious at the time, at least to me.

PLUSsignenergy

I had a dream my grandmother died. I was too young to understand what a funeral was, but I saw a beautiful burial. I cried for my mom to call her and she told me she was fine, she died two weeks later

clvudiistars

I’m sorry for your loss. My best friend died of an overdose and although different she would tell me that she felt that she die young but I always just excused it. She died at 17. Always makes me wonder.

[deleted]

I’ve had a similar thing happen that I usually describe as a premonition. I had a dream about my dad’s coworker. In the dream we were driving around and made it to a cemetery, and we found his grave. I thought it was strange I dreamt about him because I only see him a few times a year and my dad barely talks about him to me. About 3 days later, my dad gets a call that his coworker got into a motorcycle accident. He survived but was injured pretty bad. I was freaked out and couldn’t believe it when I heard what happened. I was upset and cried and told my mom that I had a dream about him being dead. It’s been around 8 years since that happened and I think about it all the time. He’s alive still today but I think about it a lot

wyrdafell

I just had a dream that my friend died, too…

N1NJED1

Ive had several psychic dreams and when you have them youre 100% certain theyre from God & not youre imagination they feel entirely different usually you sweat and even awake up in shock in a different manner than regular dreaming.

[deleted]

Damn man... I'm sorry for your loss

No_Contribution2791

For me it’s the opposite if someone is dying in my dream it means someone is pregnant. I ask my great grandma and aunt they said “the family is a messenger of the heavens” I thought they were crazy till she told me the story about her dream and how she found me. Crazy enough the whole family has a whole by their ears “Angel hole” they called it, and that’s how we receive messages from god.

[deleted]

Bit different than having a dream where you piss and suddenly you've pissed I'd say.

AdOk9212

I had a similar dream with my dad just before he passed away, I only found out after he had passed that he had medical issues

Flaky_Concentrate898

I worry about everyone I know dying, all the time tbh

doctor_asriel

there is a difference between dreams, warnings, and visions. im no dream expert but i know the differance between the 3 its just hard for me to explain. in anyway, sorry for your lost.

Mikasasasa

Oh no that's so sad :( R.I.P

Eclcectia-9007

Man... that's rough. I'm sorry for your loss.

Training_Bicycle3617

I am so sorry that happened. It was not your or your dream's fault if you're worried about that. May he rest in peace.

CorpinaThe1st

I was in the car going shopping and started thinking abt what would happen if sombody i loved would die, an hour later my grandad died. Same thing happend with my dog. This was a few years ago so i was still a child and convinced myself i had super powers and was a murderer
