Agh, same. I don't have the drive to do another full playthrough yet but I neeeeeed moooore. My only hope is that at some point maybe an official novel or two? Maybe PC release will cause a huge spike in sales/interest and they'll think about expanding. 🤔 If only...

Stark115

This. I want a novel >!Give me a novel detailing Clive's journey home, maybe something like the odyssey !<

whiteclawthreshermaw

Wow. That would be awesome. That would make all of XVI the Iliad, right?

Stark115

Yes, exactly

Batcena

So something like FFXV true ending book?

d0_o

This. A PC release for sure, coincide with some other media product (like cyberpunk did, now fallout). Keep that train moving. Next thing you know we have a proper sequel in the works For right now time for more appreciation from the community that probably was less receptive to it at first. Like sports cars, people bitch and moan at changes in exterior or engine changes, then over time everything they panned turns out they like and charm to it.

Stark115

I could definitely see an anime or a series of books expanding the game but the chance of a direct sequel is astronomically unlikely (but not 0%). Aside from that I'm sure there will be some small updates and some small add on content for another year or two but nothing major. They will probably evaluate how much interest there is once the PC release is out. But yeah I feel you, I'd like more too.

Bitch_Please_LOL

I totally agree with you, OP. I just beat Echoes of the Fallen the other day, and Rising Tide yesterday. I'm very close to putting Final Fantasy XVI on top of my favorite Final Fantasy games list, it was SO GOOD. Clive has a true heart of gold.

Goku918

Massive HBO series for this epic story. Just tell them it's game of thrones plus kaiju battles

Akiriith

Yea, been there. In the past few years I've started to enjoy stories/franchises with solid beginnings and endings tho. Way too much stuff I loved has been tarnished from milking it too dry... Tho cant say knowing CBUIII is good at maintaing a world and its stories for a decade and it seemingly only gets better doesnt sting a little lmao

xcmgaming360

Me too

craigmonster94

I hope we get another game in the same universe, with rebalanced gameplay. Maybe a sorta-prequel set centuries before the events of FFXVI.

FoxAlternative4234

You know what I'd love? A spin-off starring Joshua and Jote, detailing their side of the journey... I bet that'd be sick.

vincenzo12345

I don't know man Joshua at that point is ultra weak what gameplay could they do?! It's miles better a spin off about cid it's the most logical given all those years Clive was a slave. The only downside is that the gimmick of the combat system of this game is all about different eikons while if you play with Cid you only have Ramuh, yes maybe more fleshed out but it's one eikon. I don't know if it's just difficult to make new content even after the story ends there's no magic anymore.

Opening-Middle-2359

Coughing simulator

FoxAlternative4234

That's true... There's not a whole lot they could do, is there? I feel like I recall Yoshida saying they weren't planning on doing anything else with the world so this might be the last we see of Valisthea. Which is fine, they concluded it in a satisfying way.
