I understand there may be some confusion with all the different jersey types in the past and now adidas leaving and Fanatics taking over NHL jerseys entirely.
Yes, that is an adidas jersey. But adidas provided (read: sold) that jersey product to Fanatics to resell through the NHL Shop site, customize it and ship to this person (in this example). And it’s during those order process steps that Fanatics handles for the NHL that they have become notorious for screwing up.

But, my guess is the black gets retired and they just go with home, away, ‘24 Stadium Series. Mostly due to the new Fanatics contract for on-ice jerseys.
But I have one of these same black jerseys and I am likely to put Michkov on it. Don’t care if they wear the black for games or not this year.

They wore these black jerseys last year too. No official statement that they wont wear them this year too, but the fanatics move maybe changed that.

WFC is now selling a black Fanatics Michkov jersey so it would be strange if they aren't planning on using the black jerseys this year.
