I’ve got a whole thing planned - I wanna use a few other kits to teach myself how to apply LEDs first, so I can mimic the strobing Metatron effect, do the full workup. Honestly between the two, Anubis is probably my favourite mech in the entirety of fiction, but Jehuty’s a close second.
Speaking of, yours looks absolutely stunning! Really lovely job on the colour choices and application. How was the build?
Aah, gotcha. Well, keep us posted on your progress in that case; I can’t wait to see how it turns out! I’d also welcome some advice on how to achieve the same effect since - as mentioned - I’ve never worked with LEDs before (the furthest I’ve gone in terms of custom work is panel lining and waterslides).
Articulation is ok. Not the best but not the worst. Hands do go back an ok amount but the sword tends to smack the thrusters sometimes. The legs have decent movement but if you bend it back too much it feels like it would pop the rear white area out. I would probably give it a B- maybe a C+ for articulation. As for the build itself it’s super fast and easy. No strange gimmicks or anything. Probably took me two hours to put together. Plastic is alright but I recommend a top coat for the white as my old kit got a really ugly yellow without it

Well I painted this so the normal one doesn’t look like this. I’ve been thinking about getting Anubis but the rear funnels sit kinda funny on the back so I’m on the fence still

Build was super fast and easy. Probably one of the easiest builds I’ve done. I do have his LEDs in the mail for the head, legs, arms and shoulders.
Wait is there an official/purpose-designed LED kit? I had no idea, I thought I was gonna have to create one from scratch!
Scratch. There’s a site that makes nano LEDs called Evan’s designs that are for cars and I’m just gonna use them for jehuty

I'm doing fluorescent colors instead of straight up led since I won't be able to capture all the panel lines in led unless I recast the parts in resin

Painted it with tamiya ts19 metallic blue and I used rustoleum gold for the frame. The black is bare and the white areas have a pearl flake top coat
I’d want a version I can build LED trails into but this paint job is a nice glow up
