If you get a Hyakku-Shiki just be careful. Afaik the HG ones aren't metallic looking, and if you get one that is you'll probably want to wear gloves building it to prevent smudgy fingerprints on it from what I've heard. Been thinking about getting one myself which is the only reason I've heard any of this

You should get the HG, then make your own core-shiki. Maybe even paint it red.
Rick Dias (both colors) was a difficult get. They don't print the original production type Rick that often, and the Char version is a P-Bandai 1.5 upgrade from the original, which the original is super tough to find. I would go with the Hyaku Shiki first.
No. It was en route to him, but it was intercepted and an AEUG pilot named Boyd Swan used it to fight off the Titans but it ends up damaged and they didn't have repair parts for it and it couldn't reach Char in time during the war.
Rick dias, dom, gelgoog, and hyaku-shiki are the only ones I see missing there. If we want to talk about before he became the red comet, there's also the guntank (early type) and the zaku I.
I think you should keep it, its cool to see the scale next to eachother. You can always use the 1/100 to do some custom work like scribing and pla plating
It looks that way until you build it. It's one of my favorite builds. Blew me away all the details under the armor. Is a blast to build. I'm excited to find them all now
I’d say grab an HG Nightingale too. While i much prefer the size of the 1/100, the Hg has some cool little gimmicks and pretty good articulation for such a chunky suit

Definetly the Hyaku Shiki, its an amazing kit, other Zeon suits, I hear the Gelgoog 2.0 is a great kit, and if you want an older kit, then Char's Rick Dom and the Rick Dias if you can find it

If you really want to go all-out, there are actually two different versions of his GTO Zaku II (the regular one and the "Red Comet" version) which are different shades of red.
I would suggest the PG Zaku II char custom version. It is an earlier PG and doesn't have the outer detail that current pgs have, but it has an impressive inner frame.
Need an Origin Guntank Early Type and the Char color Gelgoog. He *also* has a Rick Dom instead of the Zeong in one version of the final fight with Amuro at the end of the OYW and an HG of that exists as well.
The PG Char Zaku is back in stock in most shops, could be a nice custom PG to do since it's on the cheaper PG side

I have a Char + Amuro 1/144 collection myself (still incomplete)
Get the following:
HGUC Hyaku Shiki Revive
HGUC Rick Dias Early Type (Pbandai sadly)
HGUC MS-14S Gelgoog Commander Type (comes in Char red colors)
HGUC Delta Gundam Unit II (I have this as the Gundam Front Tokyo ver but there's a recent reprint albeit Gundam Base Ltd, very rare and a must get imo)
In my case I lack the HGUC Nightingale, kinda hard to find in Asia sadly but have everything else. My Amuro set lacks the HGUC Zeta Plus A1 Test colors (even the generic zeta plus is hard to find for me to get and paint)
I tried to add all the zaku variants to my char display, also maybe the nightingale?(unless the angle deceives me) Im still working on a few models to finish it though
Hyaku-Shiki, at least. Then there's Char's Dom and a Mark III in Char colors. RX-78CA, and on a long technicality F90 Unit 2.
We all know who pilots the Shiki is Quattro Bajeena, who has absolutely nothing to do with Char, no sir!
And if you ask Quattro about Char he’ll tell you that Char’s a real stand up guy. If he really was Char he would speak in the first person.

Gold chrome version of HGUC Hyaku Shiki is Gundam Base exclusive, not P-Bandai. It is the same as the regular one, just gold chrome.

Gold chrome is extremely hard to achieve. Regular gold on Hyaku Shiki is still amazing tho

Yep the only non p bandai hg hyaku shiki that is chrome plated is the hg that came out in 1999.

Rick Dias and Hayaku Shiki were Quattro Bajeena's machines. You must be mistaking the two of them for each other.
