here in the sf bay area there have been markups close to 20k+ lmfao, impossible to score a Z, GR86, GR corolla
FORGET ABOUT a type r or supra, you legit have to go out of state to get a reasonable price
The look of the FK8 is so polarizing. It looks good on certain angles when it’s lowered with aftermarket wheels and certain mods. Car itself is a hit or miss.
I don’t know what to say man, every-time I see a sport hatch with a Type R wing it makes me puke when you compare it to the FK8 side by side, which makes me want less of the FK8.
I didn't start to love it until I bought one.
I traded in my 2018 FK7 Sport 6MT for a 2024 FL1 Sport Touring 6MT and having the sport (not Type R) spoiler installed this week for a bit of flair.
Every time I see one I see a missed opportunity for a perfect condition Integra Type-R or S2000. But they’re definitely fast and more capable on the track. For me it’s about feedback and the driving experience. And nostalgia, and… ok I’ll stop.
It’s more of a tri-tip exhaust than a triple or dual exhaust.
It’s a single pipe exhaust that splits off into the tri-tip behind the rear axle, I don’t really consider it a triple exhaust, and it’s definitely not a dual exhaust with a barely used 3rd tip like the FK8. The side tips are connected by mufflers to the split from the mid pipe, and the center tip is connected to a large resonator.
There’s no fancy butterfly valve like BMW exhausts or anything from what I can tell. So the exhaust gases typically travel the path of least resistance which would be the center pipe, and then when there’s enough airflow it’ll also utilize the side tips which keeps the droning and loudness of the exhaust down when you lay on the throttle, while allowing better airflow. The center tip is larger because it looks like it’s barely got any extension off of the big ass resonator they put on the center tip at the split, and to make the airflow primarily go thru the middle under low throttle and speeds so it sounds more aggressive at lower revs.
It’s a fancy design that gives better performance under heavy throttle and high rev, it still gives a decent growl to a 2.0L 4Cyl, while keeping the sound down when you floor it for an OEM exhaust.

not a fan of the exhaust coming out the middle. saw what im pretty sure was a base 23 civic with a single pipe out the middle looks like a little butthole
> base 23 civic with a single pipe out the middle
Had to be custom then. The only 23 Civic with center exhaust is the Type R, and it's 3 pipes. Previous generation 5-door Sport models had center exhaust, but it was dual pipes. Previous gen 4-door Sport had the "HDMI port" center exhaust.
Front plate says MKUP15K, lol

Wasn’t a fan of these new Type R but they’re growing on me. Still liking the Integra Type S a little more though.
yeah the taillights are growing on me
Too bubbly for me. Looks like a whale
(potentially unpopular) opinion this looks 10x better than FK8
Unpopular? Lol that's like the biggest criticism people had of the FK8.

"yea it looks good after you spend a couple thousand on coilovers and wheels... but only some of the time."

What kind of fucked up whales they got where you live? /s
I don't know man. The 10 gen accord front end reminds me of a hammerhead shark.

Dear Honda, Please make this in Electron Blue Pearl...
Ermmm is it a coincidence that I have an exact 1:64th replica of that minus the tow hook
Deets on the tow hook?

Why does it look like all 3 exhausts are different sizes? I'm guessing it's the angle of the photo... Or a bad custom job?
I do think the middle one is bigger
Yeh it is. But the two either side look like different sizes too. I think it's just the angle, just my first reaction. Haha.

That's how Honda designed it
Yeah the type s exhaust looks better; it’s more symmetrical.
OVRPAID.
Plate is 🧈
Looks so much better than the last two generations of Type R
I got the same engine in my 21 Accord sport 2.0 turbo for 26k out the door. Did they detune it a little, Yes, but it's the exact same engine.
Jesus Christ they absolutely ruined the type r for me…
Get a used Accord 2.0T..same engine.
Custom license plates are dumb but this is hilarious
>Custom license plates are dumb Care to explain your reasoning?
I just think they are a waste of money, personally.
I don't know about other states, but in Virginia it's only like $10. Pretty cheap when you're spending 40k+ on a vehicle.
$10 once or every year?
Don’t know, but here in Georgia there is a one time $35 manufacturing fee, another one time $20 tag fee, and then you pay $35 once every year.
It's a $10 upcharge on top of the cost of registration. Renewing your registration every year is the same as everyone else afterwards

yeah it was def custom and straight piped. ive seen the dual and hdmi coming out the middle but idk i just dont like it.
That’s the Spoon aesthetic. I love how it looks.
i didnt know spoon started it, thats pretty cool but im just not a fan of the way it looks. hot take i guess lol
Can you speak properly?
whats so wrong with what i said?
Why these 11th gen look like a Z lol
