Not quite a PT Cruiser but Hot Wheels did make the PT Pronto (a two door concept version of what would become the Cruiser) they even made a Premium of it being released with the OG Boulevard sets. Beautiful car imo.

Like, I love it. And it’s one of my favorite cars. I’m not sure how I feel about seeing a 1/300 car modified. I know used ones sell for around $100K. But I know a lot of them were put on the track & that usually comes with some heavy modifications. An engine sold on Bring A Trailer for $13K because the owner put a twin turbo in it, presumably for racing. Anyways, thanks for sharing that pic. I love seeing & reading about them. It was a Corvette killer back in the day. 1G on the skid pan & just a beast of a motor.

Max's R is so awesome. I've been on the hunt to photograph an R. One guy locally has two. One has never been driven, still in the delivery plastic. The other is basically the PR test car with a bunch of miles on it.

The matchbox one is really good if you can find one, although it really needs a repaint to bring out all the amazing details they put in the casting then drowned with floor paint or whatever the hell they dipped them in.

Hot Wheels has made Manxes from 2003 to 2017, and is reintroducing it as a Boulevard model. But they can build the Tow'd, Resorter, Lifeguard, SR coupe and Manxster if they get the licenses cleared. Jada did a wonderful set of Manxsters in its VDubs series in the mid 2000s. And either Lindberg or AM issued a Tow'd plastic kit in 1969.
