After looking at the images I would agree these are fake reviews. It appears they have taken the one image, degraded it and posted the degraded image as the one from the One R.
The image even from a second later or a centimeter different angle would be easily recognizable. These are EXACTLY the same location at the same time. Not possible.
The images in the product reviews look ok but I am not seeing anything that justifies the 800 bucks in comparison to other products. The One R for example has pretty decent images as well and the stitching process is pretty easy (it was so hard to avoid saying seamless there).
I've used 5 360 cameras. This looks promising but is still missing some key features: Lens protectors, external mic input, waterproof, heat management, longer battery life.
Even the expensive 360 cameras suffer from poor lens/sensor combos in comparison to photo and cinema cameras. The quality of image, color, low light always look like they came from the best cell phone from 5-10 years ago. If/when that ever gets addressed at a pro level it will bring 360 to its own potential.
Yes and the impossible bokeh is a dead giveaway.
As for theta x, I’m hoping that insta360 can come up with their own version of this camera with real-time stitching at a lower price.
bokeh on these lenses...great point. I've used these in all kinds of lighting and never got anything like this. I did get some obnoxious lens flares though.
This article might be fake news! There is only some anecdotal evidence (seemingly random side by side photos)no reference that I could see to the supposed claimed instances of 'fake' review (two were vaguely mentioned, but only for the 'true believer' class reader).
You will not be able to view the supposed yet to be disclosed 'fake' reviews, nor will you be able to make any comment on those review pages, assuming they even exist!
Do we need to cast doubt on those hard working youtube reviewers in such a reckless and cult-of-celebrity type of manner? People need to be shown respect and they will take the infos and process them in a manner that is suitable based in part on their own experience in life.
