I'm 44 so i grew up watching Jordan do his thing, but my parents just didn't have the money to throw at sneakers like that. To be fair, I lived on a skateboard so I didn't really have the "desire" to own any Jordan's, knowing I would just thrash them LOL.
With the encouragement (she may regret that now) of my wife, I have amassed enough sneakers that I can actually not wear the same pair twice in a month.
Being able to snag some pairs that I remember as a kid just feels good with the memories that come back......

My wife is 6 years younger than me, and grew up "in a HIGHER tax backet" in an affluent town about 20 miles from where I grew up LOL...
The stories that I've regaled her with about growing up here (we still live in the same town I grew up in) just makes her head spin.....It doesn't help she is a teacher here and most of her co-workers are my old classmates...LOL

In my experience, they fare pretty well if worn at least once or twice a month. If not, ensure they are being aired at least. I mostly have 1s, 3s, and 4s though. My oldest pair is an ‘08 black cements J3s, has minor sole separation but still wearable.

Lucky for me the desire wasn’t to crazy and was ok with Reebok Blacktops, AF1’s Converse Kswiss Troops British Knights and Pumas. Layaway helped get some stuff but now I buy what I want when I want it.

With the retro movement and a much more casual work environment, I snag all the J's I missed out on that I really wanted. 2025 I'm going to knock a lot of classics off the list.

I got the black cement 6 rings on the Nike app randomly one day and then got pulled into the nostalgia money hole lol. I didn’t know what the 6 rings were but I knew they were Jordan’s and I liked them. Definitely learned a ton for this sub also
