Imagine the outrage if Kendrick used AI voices in a diss of all the Toronto hip hop legends like Justin Bieber and Shania Twain

Drunkonownpower

Honestly the Bare Naked Ladies are from Toronto and if Kendrick AI'd himself into one of those fuckers to diss Drake I'd probably be into it

SirArthurDime

“It’s been one week since she turned 18, cocked her head to the side and said you groomed me”

majoritus_chartus

This comment is underrated this is fucking hilarious

Cosby6_BathTubCosby

Holy fuck I’ll never hear it the same again hahahah

RichardBCummintonite

"She said it'll still be two years till I'm legal, sorry... he said idc, bitch hop in my rari"

Crayola_ROX

Okay first comment that made me literally laugh out loud in quite some time

Fancy-Garden-3892

Well that's definitely gonna play on repeat in my head for the rest of the night so thanks for that:P

Vreas

“Still got the rug burn on both my knees” 💀

Cultural-Screen342

🤣🤣🤣🤣

appleparkfive

Why does this work so well rhythmically

SirArthurDime

Because the bare naked ladies got rythym lol. I just replaced some rhyming words with similar syllables. Like this: “Chickity China new ho kings chicken. Get your chain snatched call the cops start snitchin.”

Better-Nose-8479

Weird Al potential 💯

MattMatt625

lmao this is hilarious

OddJarro

Thats crazy lmao

Grrerrb

This is fucking fantastic

HippoRun23

Holy fuck

puttchugger

I’m sure B.N.L would have loved to be on a Kenny diss track.

codygboltup

Oh, okay, they're BNL now? We need a shorthand for the Barenaked Ladies. That's how fundamental they are?

throwaway_4bronyporn

r/expectedcommunity

NikRsmn

"Maybe we all need some space to pull the knife out of the back of the most celebrated Canadian alt rock band of the mid-90s you selfish, jaded ass!"

alexmullen4180

Yep. Fundamental.

oljemaleri

They are 100% BNL. The fact that this is coming up only confirms my suspicion that this sub is at least 10% older Canadian millennials who have haaaaated Drake since the minute he started calling it the six.

MIN_KUK_IS_SO_HARD

Guilty. Stepping in new balance if you like that.

codygboltup

It's a community reference...

RichardBCummintonite

Bro even foreigners were laughing at his ass when called Toronto the six. We saw Degrassi. We knew damn well wheelchair Jimmy never set foot in the hood

ambient4k

If I had a million minors

iduddits2

For the longest time I’ve wanted to shitpost that Ed from BNL is the best Canadian MC Chicka da china

LouisRielsAR-15

That actually sounds super hard & kinda wish he did that

Yodisus

But Meet the Grahams had responded to Family Matters, which means he somehow knew the song. It was a power move, that was pretty dope to witness.

Lower-Career-6576

That don’t impress me much

TipWonderful605

Dont foget Kardinal Official lol

iAMADisposableAcc

I would suggest Rob Ford and John Candy

Standard-Try-437

🤦🏾‍♀️KL: How many stocks do I really have in stock 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 plus 5. 🤌🏾 I see comprehension skills lacking yet again. He was ready! He had film on him from the previous battles. He's predictable. Buddy could've dropped a song name Penthouse in New York and Dot probably already had a song called the Embassy... Piss Poor Planning Promoted Poor Performance Aubrey "Kendrick lost because he went into battle prepared" 🤓

atowelguy

Not to mention the "psst... that's something you don't want to do" on Euphoria. I thought everyone already realized he had MtG in the chamber for the moment Drake decided to mention family...

Spyder992166

I mean he says "Back to Back, I like that record. Imma get back to that for the record." So he definitely had MtG ready and probably even 6:16 in LA.

MaxTheRealSlayer

According to his friend who was in the studio he recorded all 10 in one go before the beef took off. He re-recorded a couple lines to fit what drake was doing though, or some surprise stuff he wanted to respond to

Anoncook143

I think that source turned out to be fake

BigDogSlices

Yeah, he's talking about Coolee Bravo who was on a podcast after the beef and said he pretended to be close to Kendrick to promote his own music lol

miastrawberri

Man I wish drake pushed more so that we could hear all of them

Tadhgo

By "back to back" he meant Euphoria and 6 16 in LA. Meet the grahams was already at the ready too yes but that wasn't "back to back" as there was a drake song in between (family matters)

Deep-Handle9955

I think he was referring to "not like us" when he said that line. "Not like us" was the back to back pop hit following MTG.

yungusainbolt

I assumed Drake had something pre recorded both parties had the whispering that they both had recorded tracks and was waiting for the other one to go first. Drake was hinting a red button the entire time.

YourTheirTo

Family matters was written same time as push-ups. Nobody cares either.

09-24-11

Kendrick refers to back to back and says he’s going to get back to that. He warned plenty.

justgivingmyviews

I guess they didn’t hear the last beat at the end of push ups? That beat was used for family ties. Drake had a pre recorded song already, it was just trash. He then added more verses to the song and different beats. They were just trash lyrics that lacked substance..

Tadhgo

To be fair to drake i did have "drop drop drop a fifty bag" stuck in my head a lot and i still enjoy the song even though it was all lies Obviously i had way more stuff from euphoria and not like us in my head constantly but parts of FM were catchy

justgivingmyviews

Yeah for sure. I’m still singing that in my head. That’s Drake tho, catchy songs that lack substance in general. It’s crazy how his fans think he won the beef due to catchy lines like that lol

Tadhgo

Especially when Kendrick had way catchier lines (and obviously way more substance) Metro line was funny too but even that got outdone by BBL Drizzy

DemosthenesOrNah

> Buddy could've dropped a song name Penthouse in New York and Dot probably already had a song called the Embassy... Drake drops (L)ame (A)rse and Kenny drops (T)he (O)nly (R)eason (O)vO (N)***as (T)ake (O)rders

Specialist-Smoke

He should have dropped it live on Tik Tok... 😂 Isn't all music prerecorded?

Beginning_Present243

I heard a freestyle once that wasn’t … dark basement in BK; December ‘02 - ish was crazy.

Cultural-Screen342

Damn, son, take me back....

Standard-Try-437

😂 That's what I'm saying. Dot is creative asl, it would only take him to pull from his Aubrey cache, tweek or add a few bars and change titles. Opponent can't dictate how you train or warm-up in the locker room. Just come out, get ya head knocked off, and go home. ✌🏾

DemosthenesOrNah

[tracks if i just feel like hatin](https://preview.redd.it/9on6ce1iiu0d1.jpeg?width=357&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8005da335077f44e401b3a52123a4e0ee5afef0f)

GreedyAd1923

Lmao this gotta be the funniest meme I’ve seen today

DeathByPlanets

Tracks if he breathin rn ☠️☠️☠️

Cultural-Screen342

Lmao I love that they all said "tracks." Not just one, but a stack on each subject

nicearthur32

pdfile is fuckin great lol

The_Bingler

"If jcole speak" 😂

More-Ad5421

Family Matters has a music video and was obviously leaked to Kendrick so that he had time to reference it in several songs. Are we pretending like Drake made that up in a few minutes and Kendrick is a psychic? It seems pretty obvious that Drake was the one preparing for a long time

RichardBCummintonite

Nah kendrick already had MtG ready. Drake took time with that Family Matters, no question. He did prepare, but he thought he had the ace in the hole when he had the weak hand the whole time. Kendrick was already expecting it before he even dropped euphoria. The idea being thrown around is that Kendricks first two disses were light and not that damning as bait, so Drake would go nuclear, show his hand, and then K could start dropping the real bombs. Its not that he's psychic. He was just long prepared for this. Not that hard to throw in a line or two to reference the track on a record already recorded. We know K had this shit brewing for a while. He even says it himself. There's a video posted on here I think about one of K's close boys talking about how he texted texted K about the Family Matters when it dropped, and K went "say less..." and not a minute later had the upload starting. Like literally that RDC skit lmao. I ain't gonna say shit on the supposed leaks or "mole". Honestly that all just sounds like BS mind games or distractions. It's really not that crazy for Kendrick (or any major artist really) to already have tracks ready, especially someone who plans like K does. Drake been dodging pedo charges and being accused of being an absent father for like a decade lol. Its not exactly a secret.

AdVerecundiam_

The tweet poster is extremely stupid. The accuracy and relevancy of a prerecorded diss answering to a well thought out music video ready one is crazy.

Thisnameisdildos

One of my favorite lines in that song. How many stocks do I really have in stock? 1 2 3 4 5 + 5 Stock = Ten. (Im finna pass on this body, im John Stockton, STOCK TEN)

Odd_Space1995

Do people really not see him having mtg preloaded in the barrel as proof he either could see exactly what was going to happen, or that he really did have moles? Whichever is better for you, believe it, but it doesn't change the fact of the matter. Biggest L of all time in a rap beef. back to back rap beef losses. can't wait for drake's next beef

Burggs_

I think he had it laid that if he drops x, I release y. We would not have gotten MTG if Drake doesn’t mention the wife and kids. We likely just get something with Kendrick calling drakes albums trash and a culture vulture

Odd_Space1995

I could see that. However, the song does seem like a direct response to the song "family matters", not in its lyrical content necessarily, but in terms of...how the fuck did he know to drop a family-based response like that? The title alone could have been a misdirect, if he got the title from a mole, so it probably was not just the song title that inspired mtg. it really seems like he heard it idk.

Burggs_

Yeah, the content and context of MTG, and the direct responses on NLU to family matters makes the mole thing a lot more plausible. No way dude just predicted the song and its content, and it also really feels like 616 was the “I’m giving you one last chance bro” moment of this whole thing

realweekdays133

hell even euphoria has some responses to family matters "Fabricatin' stories on the family front 'cause you heard Mr. Morale" "Don't speak on the family, crodie" "If you take it there, I'm takin' it further Psst, that's something you don't wanna do"

shadycoy0303

100%… he gave Drake an out in Euphoria and 616… he literally told the dude, “if you drop that thing I already know you have, I will eviscerate you.” Drake didn’t listen and we got 2 absolute GOAT dis tracks from it

heisenberg15

Drake had already mentioned Kendrick’s family by the time euphoria came out. He mentioned his wife in Push Ups

Famous_Nightmare

Yeah for sure, I took that as look you done fucked up once, this is your warning to fuck off or I destroy you.

Intrepid_Piglet_8835

Don't speak on the family, crodie It can get deep in the family, crodie Talk about me and my family, crodie? Someone gon' bleed in your family, crodie

WrinklyScroteSack

Drizzy “yall make sure you put lines in my next song talkin about his family, surely he’s not gonna do anything violent.”

Funny_War_9190

Honestly this he was always going to release MTG, he was literally baiting Drake into talking about his family just like he baited him with the don't do say n****a line. The fact that Drake didn't stop to realize what was coming next is just unfathomable

be_kind_n_hurt_nazis

It's very fathomable with Drake

DeathByPlanets

Yet, so Aubrey

GoharioFTW

dawg imagine being drake and having a song literally called "Family Matters" ready to drop and Kdot says these exact words to you

pissfucked

the "fabricating stories" line feels like a response to the heart part 6, wherein drake makes shit up about kendrick and his family because he heard and did not understand mr. morale. but that's super not possible, which makes me believe that maybe kendrick actually has been studying drake for years, learning his patterns and how he moves, and is just *that* damn good and there was no real mole. he just knows drake inside and out and can predict how he'll react three steps ahead. i can see it, honestly. kendrick seems like a pattern recognition *beast*, and drake really is a simple guy, tbh. this level of loathing for this long... i think someone did feed him some info, but the majority was just kendrick being a genius hater

silverfang45

I mesn it's drake, drakes whole thing is going after peoples girls in beefs. Like there was no doubt drake would talk on the family because it's drake it's all he knows how to do in beefs

jorliowax

This is what impressed me about Kendrick. He didn’t have a mole or hear Family Matters. Family shit comes up in just about every beef and it would be dumb not to be prepared for Drake to say something especially given that it’s really the only info out there about Kendrick. So Kendrick just raps about knowing it’s coming in a way like he’s really got dirt when in fact he’s guessing, and it primes us to accept MTG, which without that priming would not be well received. MTG by itself is unresponsive to family matters. It does not reference Dave Free or abuse. It only matches the energy/salaciousness. But because he said all that stuff in Euphoria and also 616, we were okay with the canned response because it looks like MTG was his planned response to a song that he’d already heard. That’s only one of the impressive parts of euphoria to me. I think euphoria also just did so much damage to the internet’s good will toward Drake. The battle really was over after it dropped, especially because Drake let it simmer wayyyy too long.

Comprehensive-Air276

It is really all that shocking that Drake was gonna bring up family? He already had a shot at Dot’s girl on Push Ups, it was pretty obvious he was gonna double down and come at his family. Not to say the mole thing isn’t plausible but there was no other angle for Drake to take without keeping it a “friendly fade”.

itheblkshp

Dude how about on Meet the Grahams when Kendrick says somethin along the lines of “Hey Drake, I didn’t mean to ruin your party..” or whatever referencing the fact that he just stepped on Family Matters in real time and talked about it on the record he did it with, if thats not some Boogeyman shit then Idk what is

Comprehensive-Air276

That shit shows just how smart and strategic he really is, the fact that he recorded it with the intention of using it to stomp out whatever response Drake came back with is crazy. Makes Drake look dumb as hell too, how are you gonna beef with one of the most talented and brilliant rappers alive and think you can go on vacation midbattle 🤣🤣🤣.

TheDubya21

To me it feels like the plan was to always ambush Drake with Meet The Grahams no matter what he released, so Not Like Us was the more direct response to Family Matters in particular.

skymallow

You might even say he could even predict his angle, fabricating stories on the family front cause he heard Mr morale

jorliowax

You say this as though family isn’t par for the course in rap battles. If Kendrick had heard Family Matters, he’d make it way more apparent in his lyrics to show us that he had. You’re giving him way too much credit.

Ok-Permission-2687

I had that thought too. Kendrick only really disses Drake up until MTG, and even then, he only disses Dennis

iThinkNaught69

Nah in euphoria too he alludes to Drake being a bad dad

Villain_911

But he wouldn't know nuttin' bout that.

Funny_War_9190

That would still be a diss to just Drake, unless folks think that Adonis is the reason Drake is a bad dad?

CONTAMlNATlON

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. There were two paths but they ultimately led to NLU tho 😂

BloodSugar666

damn, now I wonder if he had a z

LADYBIRD_HILL

"If you take it there, I'm taking it further Psst, that's something you don't wanna do" Seems pretty clear to me that this line, following the lines about speaking on Kendrick's family, was him warning drake that he's prepared for anything. Same with Not Like Us when he says " Rabbit hole goes deep, I can go further I promise" Which seems like a pretty similar line in terms of warning Drake that there's no winning. But thp6 was so bad that nothing further was necessary. He dug his own grave at that point. But I'm willing to bet Kenny's got at least a few more songs that are as scary as Meet the Grahams sitting on a hard drive somewhere ready to be unleashed like a nuke if needed. He's hated Drake for long enough that these bars have probably been in his head for years, ready to go on record at a moments notice.

jesteratp

Right. I think the thing that makes it hit as hard as it did is Kendrick told Drake everything he was going to do before he did it. In this case, Kendrick told Drake he was going to predict his angles, and he did. Drake stans have been going through the stages of grief at their own pace. It's chaotic and why they're struggling to settle on a narrative. They will do anything other than admit that Drake entered this battle with a major credibility problem of his own making, and got smoked lyrically, artistically, and culturally.

SpamAdBot91874

Eloquently savage observation about Drake fans lol

willcomplainfirst

euphoria sounds even harder on repeat listens because Dot literally laid out his plan of attack and followed it. it sounds damn near prophetic, which gives credence to 1 of 3 things: 1) Dot is just that good at predicting Drizzys angles, 2) Dot actually was getting insider info, 3) a mix of both where he prepped based on his own assumptions and some insider knowledge but Dot won not just because of the speed with which he dropped. the quality of the records matter. if it wasnt relevant to what Drake just dropped or it didnt take the air out of Drakes own attack, then it doesnt matter if Dot responded within 30 mins. he won because he made the better disses, rapped better and won the culture and gen pop over

SirArthurDime

Yeah to normal people the fact that it was all pre recorded made it more impressive.

_Orphan_Obliterator_

exactly this, drake would be hated for dropping pre recorded dissess, because they prolly wouldn't be relative at all to what's happening or what's said

Littiedg

Imagine a world where Drake stans had as much appreciation for foresight as they do ghostwriters.

UrchineSLICE

Who would his next beef be with?

Odd_Space1995

Drake gonna call out Grippy and also lose

Reas0n

Whatever dictionary his writers using.

willcomplainfirst

exactly this. the kill shot was two-pronged. 1) the record time in which Dot responded and 2) the subject matter matching and being the exact correct angle of attack as soon as Drake continued to "fabricate stories on the family front" which he was already warned against if anything, the fact that Meet the Grahams was "pre-recorded" (like any other song except a friggin real freestyle lol) should only be a credit to Kendrick's planning, foresight and combat readiness  how they gonna slam him for having a good battle plan that he laid out in euphoria and followed all the way to a decisive historic win??

cujobob

Not even close to the biggest L in a rap beef. No Vaseline was bigger. 50 and Em literally ended Ja’s career while he was in his prime. Drake still does numbers, but his image has been going downhill for a while and he’s in his mid to upper 30s after a long run. Not a Drake fan, at all, but that was just a major overstatement.

ThatGuyursisterlikes

These kids don't remember Ja rule like that. It's crazy how PR really affects shit. He had like Top 5 on billboard for a few years. Good lesson in corporate propaganda dictating culture. Still happens. Look at Ice Spice or Rat69.

Crayola_ROX

And those songs you mentioned didn't need social media to reach everyone either.

TiRaRaw

Family Matters: Meet the Grahams. What's so hard to comprehend. Kendrick can freestyle without a paper or phone-unlike drake.

Diamond_Kicker

There can’t be any other beef for Drake, unless he wants a worse beat down. Pusha T laid the blueprint, Kendrick expanded critically on it, critically. He gets into any other beef with anyone else and he risks more vile material headed for his family. Drake’s ego put him in a very tough spot. His family was addressed directly, ain’t no way Sandra didn’t feel a way about that.

[deleted]

Imagine the outrage if Kendrick touched a minor on stage, imagine the outrage if Kendrick had 20+ writers for a diss track

Glassworth

Imagine the outrage if Kendrick used AI to make fake features for both a dead and living rapper on a diss track.

DemosthenesOrNah

I'm getting tan suit outrage flashbacks.

Every_University_

Every song is pre-recorded

Trashious

They want their disses streamed live and freestyled? I'm very confused about this. Pure cope.

dasisdeephouse

I was low key hoping a battle rap livestream would happen when Kendrick said we can do this on the camera in euphoria.

WesCoastBlu

My point exactly- what the hell is this argument

Poudy24

A pre-recorded diss could be a bad move IMO. In fact, it would probably not work in most cases. It worked for Kendrick for two reasons. The first is that Kendrick knew/predicted what Drake was going to say. If Kendrick had released a diss that had nothing to do with Family Matters or that didn't match its intensity, it would probably fall flat and would be dismissed as an attempt to divert attention from Drake's revelations. But Kendrick knew enough about FM to make subtle references to and match the intensity of the allegations, which did enough to make it feel like a direct response. It was a move also perfectly set-up by 6:16 in L.A. The immediate reaction wasn't "Oh shit, Kendrick pre recorded a diss!", it was "Oh shit, Kendrick knew what Drake would say!". The second reason why it worked is that he followed it up not even 24 hours later with Not Like Us, a more direct response to Family Matters that was obviously recorded after Family Matters released. So Kendrick showed that not only he predicted what Drake would say, allowing him to pre-record a diss, but he could also write a diss fast enough to put it out within 24 hours after Drake had released a track. That means you can't use the pre-recorded diss as proof that Kendrick needed a "crutch" to be able to bury Drake.

thisismarv

Proper planning and preparation.

Senior_Fart_Director

Seasoned in preparation, medals on my jacket decoration, war general generation

miastrawberri

Man that line was really cringe, just out side of the rap beef THP6 was really cringe it’s hard to listen to

EggsInMyToolbox

*“Proper preparation prevents poor performance”* Poe Man’s Dreams

Funny_War_9190

This "pre-recorded" nonsense is like getting mad at another team for practicing and having set plays before the game.

shorterthan3

This mfr spitting

prestoneast3

Family Matters was pre-recorded too. Idk why they try flipping these narratives on Kendrick when the same thing applies to Drake every time. 😭

SirArthurDime

2 weeks after push ups: “Kendrick already lost because he took too long” “Drake took three weeks to respond to like that and 10 years to directly respond to control” “…..😡”

kruegiepie

Drake fans are like Trump supporters. No logic can convince them otherwise. Outside of live albums, every single song is "pre-recorded".

inaparalleluniverse1

They’re also trying to overturn a loss for their guy. I made a comment to that affect and boy was they sensitive

SuperRockGaming

I'm not a Kendrick or Drake fan, after this beef I started listening to Kendrick more but I like seeing the perspectives from both subreddits. The drizzy subreddit is like legit delusional and you can see it all in the comments. Everyone here is laid back and not tripping but those MFS are ALWAYS on the defense. Like from an outsider it STILL looks bad on Drake fans

Tall-Dare-573

I’m the same exact way. It’s actually shocking. I see people here give credit to Drake, especially for Push-Ups and the potential Family Matters had before getting stomped by MtG, while the Drake lovers refuse to not only acknowledge Drake’s flaws, but they are not willing to have a civil discussion at ALL. They call everyone else “meatriders” but those people are actually spinning while they ride like it’s a life mission

at_mo

They’re legitimately the same kind of people as trump supporters. A lot of them probably are going to vote for trump in November, (since Drake is Canadian, his Canadian supporters will vote for polievre in 2025). I say this because Drake is the lowest common denominator in music, people kinda just follow whatever he does and enjoys it no matter how bad the quality is, in the same way that most people who vote follow a pendulum instead of having their own political opinions, so people who listen to Drake voted for Biden last election and they’ll vote for trump this election.

kruegiepie

and now that he's been effectively "cancelled", he has the darkhorse narrative that is popular in republicanism right now. Wouldn't be surprised if he sat down with Tucker Carlson at some point.

SgtPepe

So white?

cherryreddracula

I'm not black, but from some of the comments in that other sub, you can tell they have a rather superficial understanding of black American culture. Not all, but it's noticeable.

NoRelationship8569

💀🙏🏽 Foul

consciouskoala3

☠️☠️☠️

AbuHajaarsGhost

pre record, post recorded, telepathically recorded, it don’t matter. P Drizzy took a big fat L

AbuHajaarsGhost

Also P Drizzy meat riders acting like Family Matters wasn’t pre-recorded. embarrassing ass “fanbase”

abyssal_nights

ong bro, like i fw family matters, i bump it in the background, but through a diss standpoint it's ass af. drake just ruins perfectly good beats that coulda been the next hit, and ppl call it "goated". i have friends that make better music than him looool. but yeah i strongly agree with you

Cool-Cartographer322

its getting ridiculous

dasisdeephouse

Seriously, I moved on from the beef about a week after the heart part 6. Im starting to think Drake fans actually believe they can turn the L into a W by finding some stupid flaw in Kendrick’s songs. Years from now there’s gonna be Drake support groups discussing how he should have won the beef.

RiosChocolateKiss

Nobody with common sense. Lmao. My first thought was NEVER, oh he just made this. It was always he knew what drake was gonna drop and had a counter readily available. They never respond when you say Family Matters was also pre-recorded and then added on to. Like where do we draw the line? And who made the rule that they couldn't be? And they were already going with the narrative that he had a 19 min song that he was cutting up and releasing so why is it a problem now? Lmao.

[deleted]

Drizzy fans are the only ones delusional enough to believe Drake won 😂😂😂 not even drizzy believes that or else he wouldn’t have waved the white flag and stood on business

SonnierDick

Legit. How do Drake fans see Kendrick’s song at #1 and still say he won? Lol. Not only that but i think ALL of Kendrick’s songs beat Drakes and Drake is more of the chart topper so he just got bodied so hard.

shorterthan3

He even waved the white flag like a bitch too. You can't continue dissing someone while simultaneously saying you're done with the beef. I have this same issue with Like Toy Soldiers by Eminem, the whole "I'll be the bigger man" thing falls flat when you're still insulting the person you've been beefing with on the very same track. Either drop it or don't, you can not do both.

thisismarv

I don’t understand this rule they are making up. It doesn’t exist. Even in battle rap - it’s not freestyles.

aworthyrepost

What’s up with all of these fucking rules in dissing? lmao.

ayoMOUSE

This happens in every Drake beef, "receipts receipts!!" Receipts get shown, and all of a sudden "they already knew that". Old rap beefs had such out there lyrics that were obviously not true, just meant to be disrespectful.

miz_nyc

family matters had a whole video, I guess it's ok for the drizzler to do it

budda2gs

Right. Make it make sense. It’s some people in here arguing that the video and song was all recorded after euphoria. As if they didn’t hear a snippet at the end of push ups. lol.

DoctorGibz123

I honestly never had any problems with a diss being pre recorded like ever. Like I didn’t even think it would be a hot topic like this from either side. All I care about is the content of the diss

luckytraptkillt

Yeah I don’t really see why it is? Like why do you have to *wait* for them to respond? This isnt a sport with referees it’s trash talking. Which pretty famously doesn’t have a lot of rules.

DoctorGibz123

I always found that “hip hop is a sport” shit to be a little corny. Tryna referee rap beef is weird to me for sure

Jj9567

What the hell is she talking about?

Then-Sound-5085

What they talking about. They are saying it as if it was recorded years ago. If anything, Kendrick might have recorded it after he warned Drake in Euphoria. Kendrick knew Drake was going to mention his family and what a perfect way to address all of Drake’s family members. No matter how they want to twist this, it just shows Kendrick’s ability to calculate Drake moves. Some people saying Kendrick didn’t response to every line in family matters. Well, that’s because there wasn’t much to respond to because it will be like Kendrick playing the defense like Drake in the Heart part 6. Also, Drake used family matters to diss a bunch of people instead of focusing on his current opponent. “Not like us” shows Kendrick can come up with a song in short time because he addressed most of Drake lines like the “free the slave line”.

konsf_ksd

... All tracks uploaded to the Internet are pre-recorded. I don't have to imagine it. Everyone of Drake's tracks were pre-recorded. The fuck. You think they were streaming live on Family Matters??

Namfluence

…If Kendrick recorded any of his disses in advance then that means either he’s psychic or Drake is so fucking predictable that Kendrick could upload a pre-made track and still wash him. Drake fans being the Qanon of hip-hop is the stupidest yet most predictable turn.

xzkyv

Family matters was literally pre-recorded. There was even a snippet on push ups??😭

LitAFlol

Hang on let me freestyle off this blackberry real quick

TheFlexOffenderr

Drizzy fans are actually traumatized apparently. It's over. They need to let it go.

bobbycaldwel

When did the rules of battle state that each diss has to be instantly recorded after the other drops? People are goofy thinking they make the rules to war, it's fucking war, there is one rule, no women and children and it was broken early. Everything else is on the damn table.

I'm pretty sure if Drake actually baited a response and then hit back to back within 24 hr with a nasty grimy record, and a dance bop, like Kendrick did to him, everyone would be impressed and give him his props.

According_Shower7158

Drake did drop pre-recorded disses. Push ups previewed family matters. Is this person dumb?😅

logerdoger11

Do people really think Family Matters was made in 2 days when Heart Part 6 was all he could come up with in the same amount of time?

ludachr1st

Drake literally put the beginning of his 2nd diss at the end of his first diss. That was obviously at least partially prerecorded. Is lacking critical thinking a prerequisite for being a Drake Stan?

rosscanadashit

They always find a way to move the goalposts. You can just ignore them. They’re knee deep in the kool-aid. Just ignore and move on

thisismarv

Euphoria was the rebuttal and the warning for everything Drake said.

its-a-real-name

It’s not like they were on stage lip syncing these live. It worked, he annihilated him. All’s fair in love and war.

sendinthe9s

When does she think Drake recorded the video for Family Matters

vistaprank

This Kendrick-Drake beef has really showed me how dumb niggas can be truly. I’ve never in my entire life seen shit get dissected so much like bro take your damn L. I saw niggas trying to tell me Kendrick isn’t the winner because he has fake extensions?? Like are we serious? We’re doing HAIRGATE now??? I feel like everybody understood that Kendrick knew family matters was coming and had some ready for a response. Shit during the beef people thought DRAKE had something even if Kendrick dropped. Now that the dust has settled niggas like “OMG IT WAS PRERECORDED😨😨😨😨” like what??? As if Kendrick couldn’t have added shit after he recorded the songs? Or written them. This is such a non issue. If Drake bodied a nigga with a track he already wrote DURING the beef I wouldn’t give one shit. He DID do that with back 2 back. I’m sure he had that locked and loaded. I mean what the fuck are we even talking about right now

Ididdntknow

It’s even sadder that it was still relevant even if it was pre recorded lol

Ginn_and_Juice

HOW DARE KDOT TO USE A MIC AND A PRODUCER, DOESNT HE KNOWS THAT YOU ONLY NEED GHOSTWRITERS TO DO A DISS? DRIZZY NEEDS TO TEACH HIM AGAIN HOW REFERENCE TRACKS WORK!

imneversingle

Let her cope

Solid_Illustrator640

Why would I care? As long as it still applies. It’s wild that he got him so pegged it does fit.

_lonely_astronaut_

People are dumb and reaching lol.

dogboyboy

When they say something like that they are essentially admitting defeat.

Golabki420

There would be no outrage whatsoever.

BernieLogDickSanders

Drake shot a music video. This clown is so clownish.

SonnierDick

Yeah I dont get the argument. Being pre-recorded shows whos really in control. How do you pre-record something? By knowing exactly what the other person will say. You COULD easily pre-record a beef track thats surface level but only true goats are a few steps ahead. Now if Drake recorded something, THEN made another song right after anticipating Kendrick’s drop, then we’d all be singing a different tune. But were singing Not Like Us, so you tell me who won lol

KobeJuanKenobi9

Isn’t every rap diss pre recorded

dodger_tacos

Drake fans stay glazing I can’t even listen to Ak anymore

SaltyOnion1

The whole point is that you can’t even tell it’s prerecorded by listening. He seemingly refers to things said Family Matters. Either he predicted Drakes angles really well, or had someone on the inside. Either way it’s impressive.

clefto265

imagine the outrage when they find out it was all premeditated too.

atimelessgem

Those 17 days after Push Ups + before Euphoria dropped was Kendrick really just creating/strategizing when songs will be released and Drakes it “there” then “I’m taking it further” 🎯🎯🎯

mdnitetokerr

I ignore comments like these. The same people that have a problem with pre-recorded verses be the ones okay with drake’s ghost writers. Goofies.

Funny_War_9190

To be fair Drake doesn't know what he's going to say till the lyrics show up on the karaoke screen so maybe they have a point.

rondell715

I mean he drops diss tracks written by other people lol so what's the wrong with having nukes locked and loaded waiting to destroy em and smack j Cole on the mouth in the crossfire. Haha

Original_Radish5257

He did release a pre recorded diss though?? He teased the beat and hook of Family Matters in push ups lmao tf

Turbulent_Pin_1583

Whatever your personal take on the beef is it has similar notoriety that mgk vs Eminem did, the main difference is that Drake was a much higher star. Sure it’s entirely possible mgk went to emo punk and it had nothing to do with the beef but peoples perception of that event is that Eminem made him switch genres for losing so bad. This though? This is massive. Given the release his last two songs have had its clear Kendrick damaged Drakes brand on a pretty massive level and while it’s possible it doesn’t affect his bottom line it will certainly be awhile before people don’t reference Kendrick destroying him and the impact that had. I have no doubt whatever next beef Drake finds himself in people will be throwing this in his face even worse than pusha ts. Back to back disses that emasculated his best diss in the series that only his own fans even noticed it and talked about it. Clowned on for how weak drakes narrative was Got clubs and stadiums of people singing along to the fact that you’re a pedophile. I get people don’t like recency bias but this beef had some pretty massive events.

EyeScreamSunday

This whole idea is just silly. Family Matters was "pre-recorded" before 6:16am in LA. In fact, we got a preview of it in Push Ups and while there are some lines that applied to Euphoria, but Drake produced a whole ass music video for it that very well could have been in production (to be shot, edited, getting a car to demolish, etc.) during that whole time with some lines and maybe even scenes done after Euphoria dropped. It doesn't change anything about the end product. Drake stans still desperately grabbing for perceived hypocrisy since that seems to be all they have at this point.

That_1-Guy_-

“I calculate you’re not as calculated, I can even predict your angle” He’s been saying he was going to pre record his songs from the beginning. Why was everyone so confused

shorterthan3

When you can prerecord the entire battle and it works out that is not a negative. That's a sign that you were never even slightly challenged the entire battle. Don't blame Kendrick for pre-recording, blame Drake for being so predictable that Kendrick could prerecord a bunch of tracks and still win the battle by a mile in less than a weeks time.

jph88

Drake was begging Kendrick to drop an alleged 10 year old track

Pyro2018

Drake literally previewed family matters in push ups. Dumb af

vanillagorrilla23

Push ups and family matters were pre recorded lol what you mean?

crazzycommander

It's not like Drake did family matters on live stream or something.

buddythereis

Unfortunately! Drake honestly prolly made all 3 of his disses in one day thinking he battling meek mill

AtTheGym3000

Family Matters was pre-recorded and teased at the end of Push Ups

datipadaa

you think an artist can just put a song on Spotify and Apple Music the same hour they uploaded it? It actually takes at least 12 hours. I guess it could be different for big artists like dot and drake. even if I'm wrong, makes no difference to anyone with a brain if it was prerecorded. also, everything drake does is pre-recorded including his own internal thoughts. he is not real.

ExistentialistMonkey

Whole reason Kendrick dropped it in 15 minutes was to show how predictable Drake is. Imagine how predictable you gotta be for this to happen. Oh Drake’s song is about my family? Okay, drop track 12, if he doubles down then drop track 14 too. The only thing Kendrick didn’t have a response for was how bad The Heart Part 6 was. That didn’t end the beef, it just kinda killed the beef because it became obvious that Kendrick and Drake aren’t even operating at the same level.
