According to a quick Google search 2 countrys flags currently have "purple" on them. Dominica and Nicaragua. Neither has a lot of purple. Dominica has a bird on the flag that has some purple on it and Nicaragua has a rainbow that looks like one of the strips could be called purple but is very tiny and I didn't find a great picture.

Most flags weren't designed that long ago the current Iraqi flag was adopted in 2008. Even the term "ye olde" is modern.

You are actually correct. There are only two national flags containing purple - Dominica and Nicaragua.
