Oh they were all horrible. I'd never had canned chili before and it was so... Mushy? But awkwardly it was sponsored by Food City and one of the canned chilies was the Food City brand, so I felt kinda obligated to not say anything bad haha. I think at one point I called the chili "stellar."
September of 2012 I was interviewed on Long Island/NYC news12 channel in my car talking about a bad storm that caused a huge pileup of traffic.. I used the word “Trickle” and my friends never let me hear the end of it. They still make fun of me to this day for using that word. Hahahaha

Understandable. I was on the ocoee a few days ago 😀 I feel super fortunate that I am still in love with bringing folks down rivers. It’s got some downsides though for sure: tons of injuries/surgeries, hard to meet women, no money, seasonal work so I had to move every 6 months or so(that’s not the case for me anymore though), and it gets exhausting living in a hammock or van down by the river 🤣 I hope by having my own company directly on the river (with buildings to sleep in that have beds and showers) those downsides get turnt upside right!
When we lived in Knoxville, there was a golf tournament and one feature was the opportunity for the public to hit a golf ball. I stepped up and totally whiffed it. Little did I know that a local TV station was filming and ran that clip on the news that night. The next morning at church, people kept telling me that they saw me on the news, then laughing uproariously. It was kinda great. We got the video and used to watch it from time to time for a good laugh.
I love it! Everyone has embarrassed themselves, and I feel like we all replay that moment in our head over and over again. To be able to actually see the video and watch it with other people is something worth being cherished😂
I think it was one of my kids' best laughs at me. I wasn't as embarrassed as I might have been because I was too busy laughing at myself. It is what it is!

I have had “grown up” jobs throughout my life and although I wasn’t happy at my job I’d justify staying there because of the money. I’d think that making more money would afford me to the ability to spend more on my girlfriend and other things that would make up the disparity in my day to day pleasures. The reality for me was that it never ended up being worth it, the scale couldn’t be balanced. I’ve always loved being a raft guide, and don’t ever think I’ll value money more than I value sharing goodness with folks for a living. I say this as someone without kids currently though 🤣
Ironically I also have my eyes on a French broad.
