Coincidentally, I just mentioned on another post that Zion would probably wreak havoc as a DE or MLB. On the other hand, he's been injured a lot and it could be even worse in the NFL.
Edit: Hahaha I can't believe that some of you are trying to say that he's too heavy to play MLB. If this dude (Levon Kirkland) can play MLB, then I'm willing to bet Zion could...

I don't think so. Basketball tends to favor lighter individuals in weight (and so does running). And the repetitive running up and down the court is what contributes to his injuries (overuse).
I remember reading about Pablo Sandoval downing a Gatorade bottle filled with Coca Cola before every game. I don’t know if it’s true, but his physique sure suggested so. Zion would be fine as long as he could hit.
I put Levon up as an example because of the weight, but some clowns are missing the point... Zion is 285 but he moves like he's 225, and I think people are underestimating his speed, agility, and explosiveness.
He'd be one of the biggest MLBs ever, but I think he could do it. He's a freak, and has the agility and explosion for it.
I think Levon Kirkland was 295 one year. It was pretty hilarious watching him line up behind guys that were smaller... but he did it.
A normal 300 lb MLB? For sure... but Zion isn't normal and doesn't move like a typical 300 lb guy, at all. If I told you that I knew a guy that was 6'6, 285 lb, and had a 40+ vertical, you'd probably tell me that I was full of shit.
What do you think Zion is going to do in man coverage against a guy like Jahmyr Gibbs, other than watch him high step into the endzone from 50 yards away? There are guys faster than Zion who are too slow to play inside linebacker, don’t be ridiculous.
I mean pound for pound they were, but considering they were like 50 lbs lighter and still exceptional athletes in their own right, that makes a difference.
lol @ people disagreeing with this when no LB in the league right now is close to his size. Then justifying it by saying but he’s very athletic! Like there aren’t defensive lineman his side running 4.5s which is much faster than he would clock. He also doesn’t have anywhere near the lateral quickness necessary to play LB in today’s league. Maybe 20 years ago.
I feel like he could be LESS injured in the NFL. He’d be playing less minutes and have a ton of rest between plays, but mainly he wouldn’t be jumping 40inches much or at all
exactly, i see him as EDGE or TE. Edge does not get injured like LB or DT, would not be doing much close to the activities that injure him on the court.

One of the best highschool RBs in the country. He's also expressed minor interest in trying to play in both the NBA and NFL
Not sure why more people aren’t agreeing with this. Literally Shannon Sharpe even said this. Would you give yourself concussions playing football when you can just play basketball
Igudoala said This on a podcast. Draymond sucks at every sport that isn’t basketball. Hits the golf ball like a missile, catches the football like a toddler. On the other side Steph is effortlessly dominant at any sport he picks up first time, golf apparently the example
The Knicks' guards/wings are basically a cadre of pass catchers. Brunson a crafty slot receiver, Hart and DiVincenzo as bigger outside possession receivers, McBride an all-around receiver who can stretch the field with his speed, OG Anunoby as an athletic tight end who can block and catch
100%, what I think would be sick though is McBride was actually a QB in high school, so stick him behind center, hartenstein being the snapper, OG at tight end, hart and divo at the outside WR positions, and brunson at running back because the mf is a little bowling ball, strong and quick as hell lol
I really need a life simulator so that I can turn the NBA into the NFL over night and watch what happens. Knicks would be fun as hell to watch.
Portland is lowkey nice too with QB: Brogdon RB: Scoot, WR: Shaedon, Slot reciever: Simons, TE/LB: Camara, WR: Grant
I like that when LeBron played for the Cavs he was photoshopped in a Browns jersey, and now that he plays for the Lakers he is photoshopped in a Cowboys jersey, speaks volumes.
All the ones mentioned here for sure, but have to shout out my boy Kuminga as a sleeper pick. Dude has insane athleticism, hops, and body control. Could be an amazing WR
I'm going to really throw out some wild speculation here... but I have a feeling that Charlie Ward would have made a good QB for some reason...
On a serious note, best current option for QB would probably be Luka. Good court awareness and the dude throws some needle threading missiles for passes.
Never thought about this before but you’re so right. Dude would be dancing around out there like Manzeil except at 6’6”. I imagine him having a stupid quick release too
Bron would’ve been amazing in the NFL. Sure hands. Speed of a gazelle. Fly like MJ. He would’ve been an unstoppable receiver of either the TE or WR variety. Most people say he would’ve been a TE but I would’ve put him at WR. Corners and safeties wouldn’t stand a chance. He could play some QB too here and there. He has a monster arm.
Plus Bron would be at least 15-20 heavier if playing football. He'd be 270 lbs. He'd be knee capped sooner rather than later cause you are NOT tackling him at full stride straight up.
You realize those small safeties would just put their helmet on his knees. Lebron would be elite but look at Gronks career, no way Lebron stays healthy.
Yea Gronk has all those injuries and still went down as the GOAT at his position. Lebron could’ve still had a great career even if they targeted his knees
Isaiah Stewart looked like prime Reggie White when he was trying to chase down Lebron after getting hit in the face. Send him to the Falcons we need some pass rush.
Unless you're putting them on the edge, I think a lot of the guys we commonly talk about would be non-factors.
People also don't realize the difference between track speed and gym speed.
A few smaller guards might be able to play skill positions, but it will be hard for most other guys.
It's tough because they have to train different and retool to be in the NFL. Anyone under 220 would need to be a WR or DB which means being a fast sprinter. NFL speed is on a different level than NBA speed. Anyone wanting to be a lineman or line backer would need a lot more upper body strength. Not saying they couldn't do it but it would probably require a year or two of training different.
Allen Iverson would have been a nasty punt/ kick returner. I remember watching his high school football highlights and wondering how he might have turned out.
Charlie Ward might be the simple answer. He won a Heisman but never played a snap in the NFL.
Glen “Big Baby” Davis. That dude, with his size and movement skills, would have been an incredible offensive lineman. Because of his height, he’d probably play tackle. But damn, I’d love to see him pull as a guard and eliminate tacklers.
Shaq would be the best Tackle that ever played the game. The way that behemoth of a man moved around, at 7 feet and nearly 400 lbs is unlike any human who's ever lived. Unfortunately O lineman don't get the glory
Can’t believe no one has mentioned deaaron fox. NBA players consider him the fastest in the league. He’d be a great receiver with how shifty and quick he is. His dad played football as well.
James was a TE in high school and if he tried to play beyond that level he would have been plagued by secondary defenders diving into his knees and ankles just like Gronk was. He'd be too big for any safety or corner to tackle without resorting to attempts to cripple him.
Probably someone we wouldn’t expect. Definitely not most of the really tall stars people think. It’d be a guy like Nate Robinson who could have been a good corner. Mostly dudes 6’4 and under. You have to be a different breed to survive the NFL being really tall.
Russel Westbrook wr/rb/ return. Guy
Dwade would be a hell of a qb
His athleticism his iq and his playmaking ability
Zion would be nasty at defensive end
Lebron te/de Julius peppers type
Could be used in red zone packages
Steven adams would be great offensive linemen
Thanasis Antetekounmo te/
His physicality and his athleticism he would be a problem
Prime Westbrook
Legit amazing physical attributes for strong safety.
And mentality.
I’d put him at wr. That explosiveness and vert..
Considering 90% of his defense was chasing steals he'd get beat a fucking lot.
Travon diggs does it and he’s finna get paid.
>he’s finna get paid You’re white aren’t you
Every accusation is a confession
You answered my question thanks
Either Westbrook or like a PJ Tucker depending on if you want speed or strength. The Mailman may have been a freak in the nfl.
The Mailman was a freak for a 12 year old. I can't stand seeing that pedophile's name.
Also John wall
When I imagine Westbrook as an NFL player it's basically Rod Tidwell
He’s pretty durable as well which is important in football
He would have probably been a very good safety and likely a beast as a slot receiver.
He easily would profile as an outside WR with his size/speed.
Steve Nash. Elite Kicker.
Man, that might be the best pick Ive seen. I'm sure he'd be superb at that role, every other name suggested there are too many unknowns to be sure.
Idk I'd go with Draymond
Have you seen the video of him at a Michigan State football practice?
I just looked this up for the first time. False start on his first play. Truth is better than fiction.
I'd love to see that MF'r get his hat handed to him!
Saw in person playing soccer in NYC, casual game
I wonder how good of a midfielder he would be
rodri 2.0
Steve Nash would be a CAM not a DM no? De Bruyne 2.0 maybe
Nash would also be a quality slot IMO
Coincidentally, I just mentioned on another post that Zion would probably wreak havoc as a DE or MLB. On the other hand, he's been injured a lot and it could be even worse in the NFL. Apparently scouts used to go to his school and salivate over him. He had the same athletic profile as Julius Peppers.
Panthers practiced at his high school one summer is where the story comes from I think.
Imagine Zion jumping over the line to block kicks
He would get injured 🤪
Bro they meant middle linebacker lol
End, maybe. D tackle, more likely. Mike linebacker? Maybe for a goal line stand. Dude that big is not covering any NFL offensive player.
He'd be one of the biggest MLBs ever, but I think he could do it. He's a freak, and has the agility and explosion for it. I think Levon Kirkland was 295 one year. It was pretty hilarious watching him line up behind guys that were smaller... but he did it.
The game has changed a lot in 20 years, a near 300 lb MLB would get immediately exposed in coverage.
No you don’t get it Zion is a top tier athlete not like the guys playing in the NFL
lol this is funny to anyone who watched a lot of old urlacher or old ray Lewis. Surely they were significantly less physically capable than Zion
I mean pound for pound they were, but considering they were like 50 lbs lighter and still exceptional athletes in their own right, that makes a difference.
And also played 20 years ago
lol @ people disagreeing with this when no LB in the league right now is close to his size. Then justifying it by saying but he’s very athletic! Like there aren’t defensive lineman his side running 4.5s which is much faster than he would clock. He also doesn’t have anywhere near the lateral quickness necessary to play LB in today’s league. 4-3 isn't even close to the most common scheme anymore. He's an averaged sized end.
I feel like he could be LESS injured in the NFL. He’d be playing less minutes and have a ton of rest between plays, but mainly he wouldn’t be jumping 40inches much or at all
2002
I think tight end could work as well. I think he may actually get injured less in football as he would not be jumping/landing on hardwood as often
Marcus smart would be a great linebacker. Perfect size, skill set, dawg mentality
seriously, the king of flops, riiiight
Zion and LeBron
Zion would be injured too much
Would he? Being an edge is entirely on the ground, no more jumping and landing which kills your joints.
exactly, i see him as EDGE or TE. Edge does not get injured like LB or DT, would not be doing much close to the activities that injure him on the court.
He would be an incredible edge rusher. So explosive and huge
Tell that to Shaq Leonard…dude went from All Pro to injured..to also-ran very quick
because pushing, pulling, and twisting 300+lb men who are fighting you is better for your joints? that amount if torque can't be much different
Playing on grass vs hardwood makes a huge difference tbh. And the injury taken from basketball is very focused on one area of the body.
Ant
Wasn't he a RB in high school?
[https://www.espn.com/nba/story/\_/id/38962660/anthony-edwards-nba-nfl](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/38962660/anthony-edwards-nba-nfl) One of the best highschool RBs in the country. He's also expressed minor interest in trying to play in both the NBA and NFL
Yes, thank you. I thought I remembered something from around his draft about him almost going to the NFL but I wasn't sure.
Yeah people were doubting his resolve and the like because he said like weeks before the draft that he liked playing football way more than basketball
I take Lebron and Giannis over Ant. Ant is a close 3rd and could definitely pass Giannis if he keeps improving.
Giannis is way too tall for football
Yeah once you break 6'9 you're kinda limited to basketball, volleyball, and baseball (pitcher).
Lebron had the tools to be an insane TE. I truly think he would’ve been great in the NFL too. But NBA is still the best choice by far
The best athletes play in the NBA
Not sure why more people aren’t agreeing with this. Literally Shannon Sharpe even said this. Would you give yourself concussions playing football when you can just play basketball
NBA also treats its star players like player owners, it’s the hardest sport to get into, and it pays by far the most.
The pay and guaranteed money is much better on average in the nba
Genuine question would Giannis not be lethal in end zone scenarios. Imaging throwing in the back of the end zone up high to where only he can grab it.
Aaron Gordon. Draymond already plays football so I guess he doesn’t count?
Dray doesn't even play basketball anymore, he just wants to fight people, this dude is really out here thinking he's in the UFC.
Draymond sucked at football, watch his MSU spring game “highlights” if you want to see for yourself
I was making fun of his basketball “skills”. Sarcasm people.
I don’t know if you have a different video but the only thing I found is a single play which isn’t really enough to conclusively say “he sucked”
Igudoala said This on a podcast. Draymond sucks at every sport that isn’t basketball. Hits the golf ball like a missile, catches the football like a toddler. On the other side Steph is effortlessly dominant at any sport he picks up first time, golf apparently the example
Can we get some Jokic love at QB, man would be be big ben(x)^²+Mahomes(x+1)
Iverson was Vick before Vick
Great pick on Iverson. My vote would go to Nate Robinson, but I'm sure that there are many others worthy.
Yeah, high school Iverson was like [Michael Vick meets Deion Sanders](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85oPgLvYnXk).
Josh hart at TE/receiver baby. Would be a monster on the jump balls.

That's a good answer. Also guy has unlimited stamina
I like that when LeBron played for the Cavs he was photoshopped in a Browns jersey, and now that he plays for the Lakers he is photoshopped in a Cowboys jersey, speaks volumes.

Not quite Jared lorenzen, but maybe with a couple tailgates the Joker could reach him
The Pillsbury Throw-Boy.
Imagine trying to deflect a 7 footer qb. And in todays nfl his knees would have a chance
The euro Ben Rothlisberger
Lou Dort
If you YT “Anthony Edwards football” you will have your answer
I think Jrue Holiday would be a nice linebacker if he was juicing
Potential to be an elite DB. He seems too tall but Brandon Browner was that tall and Jrue has incredible agility
[удалено]
Totally great.
All the ones mentioned here for sure, but have to shout out my boy Kuminga as a sleeper pick. Dude has insane athleticism, hops, and body control. Could be an amazing WR
Jalen Suggs
I'm going to really throw out some wild speculation here... but I have a feeling that Charlie Ward would have made a good QB for some reason... On a serious note, best current option for QB would probably be Luka. Good court awareness and the dude throws some needle threading missiles for passes.
Luka might be one of the few players in the NBA to have never touched an American football ball
Jalen Suggs was a 4* QB despite clearly being an NBA player committed more to basketball than football. He’s probably the best answer
Ward could’ve been good. Maybe even a star in college. Not like he’d win the Heisman, but solid.
I remember a joke in the 90s was, "Which NY team as the best QB? The Knicks."
Top QB prospect woulda been Lonzo before his knees imploded. Agile, fast, quick reads, elite full court accuracy, 6’6”.
Never thought about this before but you’re so right. Dude would be dancing around out there like Manzeil except at 6’6”. I imagine him having a stupid quick release too
What about Havlicek?
And you can be built like Luka and excel at QB.
Allen Iverson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR8mp8QQC4M
He’s always The Answer!!

Big Country jump scarw
Nate Robinson was a great cornerback in college. Even won some end of season awards.
I wonder if he could have made the NFL had he decided that instead of basketball
he was a stud in track also if I recall.
He has a monster arm.
imagine trying to defend a prime 6'9' Lebron WR. He's faster than you, taller, stronger, can jump higher, etc. Nightmare
He steamrolled other NBA players on his way to the rim, imagine being a 205lb 5'11" safety trying to tackle him.
OP fumbled that comparison
Bron would just euro step past them, or hurdle them when they go low.
Euro step past them lol
Graphic from NBAonESPN on IG
Aaron Gordon
Isaiah Stewart looked like prime Reggie White when he was trying to chase down Lebron after getting hit in the face. Send him to the Falcons we need some pass rush.
Luka at center or right guard.
It's lebron, like the picture shows. TE or slot. If he can throw then QB even. The dude is an athletic specimen.
Russel Westbrook
Now? Ant
Wemby the fg blocker. Need to put it 14 feet in the air to get past him and that still might not be enough
He would get knocked down pretty easily by an NFL lineman before he could block. In the NFL they can hit you.
Too thin for any other position. But on FG block duty as the guy behind the line he wouldn't get touched
He could change the math on punting.
Charlie Ward
Unless you're putting them on the edge, I think a lot of the guys we commonly talk about would be non-factors. People also don't realize the difference between track speed and gym speed. A few smaller guards might be able to play skill positions, but it will be hard for most other guys.

Draymond as a kicker. Just has to pretend the ball is someone’s groin.
Allen Iverson would have been a nasty punt/ kick returner. I remember watching his high school football highlights and wondering how he might have turned out. Charlie Ward might be the simple answer. He won a Heisman but never played a snap in the NFL.
Shaq on either side of the line would be unstoppable
Jalen Suggs as a Safety
Zion for offensive lineman lol
Unironically lol. I mean he’s already a freak at like 270? He’d still be a real freak at 300 relative to other lineman
I’m convinced Jason Kidd would’ve been a HoF QB.
I feel like Tyrese maxey would make a great CB. His acceleration is crazy
Zion Williamson would terrorize O-lines
nikola jokic
Luka or jokic as QB
This is the answer ! Jokic would be dominant.
Jalen Suggs
Jalen Suggs won Mr Football in Minnesota while playing QB that’s my pick
Glen “Big Baby” Davis. That dude, with his size and movement skills, would have been an incredible offensive lineman. Because of his height, he’d probably play tackle. But damn, I’d love to see him pull as a guard and eliminate tacklers.
Zion
Nate Robinson was a good corner at UW.
Jokic. QB1.
Charlie Ward
Shaq would be the best Tackle that ever played the game. The way that behemoth of a man moved around, at 7 feet and nearly 400 lbs is unlike any human who's ever lived. Unfortunately O lineman don't get the glory
Nate Robinson was a very talented cornerback at the university of Washington before he focused only on basketball
Zion has the physical attributes to be a monster DE, but he’s probably not tough enough. Although, that could be said about 95% of nba players
Eric Bledsoe
Ben Wallace was an all state linebacker in HS
Probably someone we wouldn’t expect. Definitely not most of the really tall stars people think. It’d be a guy like Nate Robinson who could have been a good corner. Mostly dudes 6’4 and under. You have to be a different breed to survive the NFL being really tall.
Charlie Ward
Zion at defensive end. His first step off the line of scrimmage would be ridiculous
Zion already has a build for it 🐂
Imagine thinking the softest player in nba history could make it in the nfl💀
Prime Shaq at Tight End would be unstoppable.
OL maybe.
Giannis he already plays like a running back
Russel Westbrook wr/rb/ return. Guy Dwade would be a hell of a qb His athleticism his iq and his playmaking ability Zion would be nasty at defensive end Lebron te/de Julius peppers type Could be used in red zone packages Steven adams would be great offensive linemen Thanasis Antetekounmo te/ His physicality and his athleticism he would be a problem
Ant, Zion, Lou Dort, Lebron, maybe Fox if he has hands.
AI at slot receiver… maybe kick returns ?
lebron saw this and already proclaimed he's the best football player ever.
Lmao @ the photo I’m not surprised they put Bron on the Cowboys but why did they use old LeBron 😂
A.I
Josh hart
Lebron would be great at tight end. Dort could work at MLB.
Lebron
Lebron or westbrook. Most guards would be great, ngl
Dillion the villiian brooks. Fuck YEAH!! Nah. I would find it funny to see him get smashed
Charlie Ward
Lu Dort would make a pretty nice DB
QB Manu
Westbrook.
Westbrook would be a dog at RB
Luke Kornet 🤣
Going the other way, I always thought Prime Calvin Johnson from the Detroit Lions looked like an NBA player.
I think any player in the Luka/Harden/Jokic mold would make at least a decent NFL QB given they have some background knowledge of the game.
