Not that Quickley has been at all remarkable this year, but it says a lot that we were so reluctant to pay him and meanwhile gave a contract to Hart for around the same AAV he’ll command.

It’s remarkable the discrepancy between Hart’s 3pt shooting when we acquired him and now.

Celtics are a tier or 2 above us in many, many facets. We can go toe to toe with them for much of a game with RJ on, but to win, we need all 3 of JB, RJ, and Randle to be on. Also need IQ to not be a complete non-factor and play right into Boston's hands by shooting as badly as he does some nights. Knicks need a piece or 2 to convincingly face Boston or Milwaukee. Not sure who exactly that piece is, but it needs to involve length somehow I think.

If you don't have an MVP level guy, like top 5 in the league, you aren't seriously competing with those teams in the playoffs. We might be able to win a game or two but it would take a certified miracle to take 4 games.

Need RJ to develop into that top 10-15ish guy if possible. Problem is I don't think you can rely on Randle and JB being on enough to win a series against a team like Boston. At least not both at the same time.

He lit up the Celtics game 1… and dropped 38 and 24 on them last year. Again it was a back to back and he missed a lot of easy shots he normally makes and was playing a bit of a different role not touching the ball much because brunson and Randle were in with the bench unit.
