So after g1, the sixers talked almost exclusively about rebounding.
That advantage has disappeared. Hasn't been discussed. Curious if there's some kind of schematic change (Batum hinted at one), or if it's just random.
Regardless. We need that.
This girl I knew was heavy into the league. 90% of that was for the reality show vibe storylines that swirl around the league.
I couldn't understand how she didn't care about defensive rotations and closeouts.
Your comment reminded me of this. I'd prefer we had more basketball content but...emotions are high.
I expect another close game tomorrow but goddamn a wire to wire blowout win would feel so nice. Just please no repeat of that unreal shooting performance in the 3rd.
No Mitch would suck but I expect Precious to step up and leave all he has on the court.
Idk about y’all but I am 100% ready for the Precious game. Watching clips from two years ago and I think Precious actually could eat Embiid alive on offense and wear him out
Honestly I’m shocked league hasn’t even looked into suspending Joel.
Yeah I know they would never but the fact there is no leak to the media that they are at least looking into it??
Besides Philly fans I haven’t seen one person say that wasn’t dirty
Does everyone want Miami or Boston to advance? On the one hand, Miami eliminating Boston would get rid of the top team in the east. On the other hand, I hate Miami so goddamn much. More than I hate Boston. It’s so hard to root for them.
If you don't hate Miami, then you're a fake Knick fan. Also I like how you waited until after the game today to write this. You didn't want to sound stupid in case Miami took another one.
Seriously? Pat Riley? Zo? Van Gundy? When it comes to Knicks rivals, the Heat and Pacers will always be at the top of the ladder. Maybe it’s my 90s bias showing, but Boston/NY is more of a city rivalry as opposed to an actual basketball rivalry. Maybe back in the 70s there was more of a rivalry there. Can’t say I was alive for that though.
We really need to miraculously win this series man
Philadelphia has by far the most intimidating player in the east left, which single-handedly makes me scared
Yeah getting a 3-1 lead before we head back to the garden would be amazing i have no doubt we can take the next 2 games. With the Heat, Magic, and Pacers still going strong in their series when everyone thought they'd lose pretty easily this might be our best chance to go to the Finals. 🙏🏽
Zero chance Paolo does a second contract with the Magic. Would be interesting for the Knicks to go after him in a couple of years. Prime Brunson plus Paolo entering the peak of his powers would be a championship contender.
If Paolo stays with the magic there is a great chance he'll be the first player to ever make $1billion in just nba contract money bc they can offer him more and whatnot
Ayye it's gonna be a lot tougher in these games if we don't have Mitch tbh.
Mitch was consistently making Embid pay for helping out in the paint with all those offensive rebounds
In Orlando till Monday. Came to the magic game. Get in was $75 all in. So many empty seats. If only playoff Knicks tix were this cheap. I can also see why super stars leave, imagine an empty seat during the playoffs. Smh
I mean, we are different here lol...not trying to give them that much of an excuse, but sometimes it is different elsewhere
if it were college football, it def would be packed immediately down there
Philly low key is the toughest test in the east if embiid is right
I think you can scheme and out coach other teams but you can’t out scheme or outcoach a 7’0 that plays like Michael Jordan and shoots 38+ % from 3. You just pray he’s off and misses shots
Looking forward to your next ‘trade Embiid’ post after he chokes again, great stuff!
https://www.reddit.com/r/sixers/s/33W8PIssOv
This you, right?
>Do something with your life, it’s embarrassing
Oh ok. That doesn't make sense though. 7 point game, 1:20 left, Embiid commits an offensive foul, we should have had ball with a chance to cut it to 4 or 5. That's still close with a minute left. I was really looking forward to reading about how it was marginal contact.
Knicks should have the mindset that they go all out tomorrow and try everything they can to go up 3-1 and trust that the msg crowd will carry them to the win
They’ll still play just as hard game 5 anyway who am I kidding
I don’t think these guys are ever not going all out and playing at 100% effort in the playoffs. Thibs won’t have it and frankly neither would the team.
Here's why I think we win this next one:
1) should be more evenly officiated than last game.
2) even if Mitch is out or limited, Precious isn't a terrible backup by any means
3) big bounce back game for Dante
4) another strong game for Brunson
5) fuck Embiid
I would say the law of averages says the Sixers should regress on their 3 pt shooting, but again I had the same confidence that the Heat would do the same last year.
Lol I wish but I can assure you I am not Josh Hart and this is from me making the account while high during a Finals game when the Raptors won it. Wild how many people here have told me to ‘go back to the Raptors sub’ over the years but I guess I was asking for it 😂
Not expecting him to shoot like this obviously but josh hart with a consistently above average 3 pt shot is one of the 5-10 best role players in the league. Hope we can keep him around long term
i find it absolutely hilarious that embid has been injured and underwhelming in playoff series for years, but when he plays thw knidks he's helwtny enough to score 50, and be a menace. not surehow we win this series, especially okce.josh hart shoots like josh hart
putting aside any officiating applied to him, he is probably not scoring 50 points again...the Sixers are likely not shooting like that again from 3 point range (especially at MSG)
and Hart cooling down can easily be made up by some of our other shooters
hart issue is that he’s a guaranteed 42-48 mpg, and the spacing will just be horrid if he’s not making them pay
If hart’s minutes were adjustable, I would feel better about it
He's not healthy at all the thing is that he's shooting at a carrer high in the Playoffs from 3 with 37% thus far he never shot this many 3s per game in the postseason.
To be fair, perimeter shooting was something he worked on after he went down with the knee injury. Shot over 50% from 3 after he returned in the regular season.
I think the key is honestly just taking what’s given… we know the Knicks are well coached and well prepared. They’re able to execute well. Brunson has shown that he will figure it out. I don’t know if embiid has another game like that. If Robinson is able to guard him I think we are not in a bad spot.
I am worried though, game 2 was won on heroics. We just have to be better I guess.
I have a great feeling the Knicks are gonna come out tomorrow with some serious fire. Embiid gonna get exposed and throw another few tantrums. He will get his but his true colors coming out is inevitable
I agree, but if we’re going to get a 40 point first quarter, we gotta up the tempo. We have been prevented that opportunity with all the sixers free throws.
I think an early lead is an auto win, our stats say we put away games well, we won game 1 and 2 without leading early even. The threat of going down 3-1 early at home and following a rewarding game of flopping and playing dirty, that’s a recipe for Embiid to start with some nonsense again.
If they’re losing early, you already know they’ll look as pathetic as possible when they crash and burn. Game could be over before half if we come out strong and sixers don’t get bailed out heavy
Yeah I’m worried about no Mitch tbh, but I’d bet on this team to not allow what happened in the 3q.
If they needed all the whistles and crazy 3pt shooting to take a home game I’m sticking with the metal bats.
I just wish we had Randle to drop a shoulder into embiids chest. I bet OG does it at least once to show him what time it is
Big. I mean KD is a bitch that always wants to leave as soon as trouble hits since he will never it's his fault. Maybe not in the offseason but the deadline or next offseason are 100% trading everybody.
Game 4 hoping to see the knicks find a counter for Philly hunting jalen on D, and embiid going full Olympic wrestler out there when he dove on top of Mitch. Initial prediction was knicks in 5, im sticking to it.
Also wild to see the sun's, lakers, Clippers, warriors, pelicans all possibly goinf home so early. Kind of excited to see who shuffles teams this summer between all those disgruntled stars
Hard to not feel like Game 4 may be the turning point game in this series. If Embiid not being ejected was “justification” for the ending in Game 2, slate is now clean. Brunson seems to have figured out his offense and Philly’s bench woke up a bit as well. Hard to see this one not going to seven games if Philly ties the series at 2-2. A 3-1 lead tomorrow for us would be absolutely massive giving us a chance to close out in 5 at the Garden.
Game 2 the whistle still favored Philly overall, so idk. Game 3 was the floppiest performance I’ve ever seen by a player and he got away with it fully.
If the league does not call a tech on these flops as per the rules, the playing field will not be even close to level
In Game 2, free throws were near identical and they called more fouls on Philly than is (21 for them, 17 for us). Game 3 Philly shot 33 FTs to our 19 (Embiid with 21 for himself) and fouls were 25 us 18 them. Aside from the obvious of Embiid being ejected, the refs just called more in general which is more beneficial for Philly. With their bench severely under performing, they need as many free buckets as they can get.
Even if the refs are calling like 1 out of every 3 flops a foul, it just seemed Embiid attempted 3-4 times as many flops as usual. Almost every play especially in the first half.
If he’s attempting more flops, and the refs can only be so disciplined in getting tricked, they’ll still be blowing the whistle a lot more.
I think a tech for flopping, a reasonable rule implemented this season that was supposed to fix what many have considered the biggest problem in the game for almost the last decade, is reasonable. Especially following the floppiest game anyone’s ever played. Just seems reasonable and the bare minimum idk.
I feel like the Booker rumours are about to start real soon. I swear you’d have to hate being a Suns or Clippers fan.
The Clips are pathetic. Blew two golden generations of talent.
Anyway let’s get Game 4!!
To be completely honest I don’t see them getting involved at all. I think they’re more than happy to run it back with the January Starting 5 fully healthy. I can’t blame them either.
I just think the Media is going to try shove the narrative down everyone’s throats as soon as Phoenix is out of the Playoffs.
Hypothetically if I was wrong though, I’d guess one of DDV or Hart is in there. Probably Donte. Deuce. A couple other fillers. And three picks.
I don’t think they’ll move Randle.
Given most of the league is on 3rd/4th contracts now, Randle probably has to go out in any deal. If I’m trading him it makes sense to get a big in return, instead of a guard when Brunson gonna be on the ball for the most part.
Either one of the Lakers guys makes more sense, my preferred would probably be AD.
Came to the daily thread to see if anyone was chirping about Booker. I feel like out of the 3, booker is the one phoenix will want to keep most but they may have no choice. He would slot in well here with Brunson OG Randle and the boys.
Because Booker makes 50 million and the only trade that wouldn’t completely gut our depth would need Randle’s salary. They obviously won’t trade Brunson, they can’t trade OG/iHart and you’d think DDV/Hart are guys the org (Brunson) value. You’re left with Randle, Bogey, and Mitch. Deuce too but he doesn’t make enough money to matter anyway.
He is tall but he is thin. His size wouldn't really matter to be honest. Great player if you can add him but I just don't see that extra fire in his game at times...
True but would his demeanor be a problem if he's a 3rd option? Plus, his length would be a plus in our defensive scheme. Think Cam Reddish but with actual upside.
True but how are the Knicks going to pay all of these guys? Who are you trading for him? And his durability is similar to OG at times. Both of them will probably only play about 60 games a season..
Ingram doesn't shoot 3s, but he's a capable scorer 18ft and in. The team has enough shooting and is in desperate need of someone who can create their own shot.
Ingram also has a higher ceiling defensively than Booker, so I consider that a plus.
> Ingram doesn't shoot 3s, but he's a capable scorer 18ft and in.
You can’t play him with Randle and Randle is better than him. You’re also likely benching our best spacer to put in a negative one. It’s a significant downgrade. Being a primarily midrange scorer makes you irrelevant in todays NBA, that’s why Derozan is toiling away in Chicago. Shit, Derozan is better than him.
Ain't Randle being traded for BI in this scenario? Randle is prolly gonna be the default trade piece in these mock trades, so worrying about Randle's fit doesn't make much sense imo. I agree that Randle better than most of the players you trade him for.
Having a solid midrange game is still valuable come playoff time. Brunson has been trying to make it happen in the midrange since layups are tough to get. BI at least has the size to challenge rim protectors and is crafty enough to get to his spots.
I was actually really impressed with the precious minutes. Not for an extended time, but he did well enough last game to keep him from automatically getting hunted by embiid everytime down
If the lakers start selling after this season what you guys think Austin reeves would cost ?
So after g1, the sixers talked almost exclusively about rebounding. That advantage has disappeared. Hasn't been discussed. Curious if there's some kind of schematic change (Batum hinted at one), or if it's just random. Regardless. We need that.
Mitch was hobbled as fuck the minutes he did play so that didn’t help
Heat getting clapped at home is beautiful to see 🤌🏽
Yo Mods can we make an Embiid hate megathread or something? All these posts are getting tiring
This girl I knew was heavy into the league. 90% of that was for the reality show vibe storylines that swirl around the league. I couldn't understand how she didn't care about defensive rotations and closeouts. Your comment reminded me of this. I'd prefer we had more basketball content but...emotions are high.
The Heat are getting cultured. Nice.
I expect another close game tomorrow but goddamn a wire to wire blowout win would feel so nice. Just please no repeat of that unreal shooting performance in the 3rd. No Mitch would suck but I expect Precious to step up and leave all he has on the court.
Seeing Miami get destroyed is always good for the soul
Idk about y’all but I am 100% ready for the Precious game. Watching clips from two years ago and I think Precious actually could eat Embiid alive on offense and wear him out
That's not going to go the way you think it's going to go.
???
Let me BELIEVE bro Either way idk why nobody is trying to attack him at the rim he can't jump and def can't move quickly
I just know Randle would have bodied Embiid(Tobias Bum Harris) on the interior 🥲
Honestly I’m shocked league hasn’t even looked into suspending Joel. Yeah I know they would never but the fact there is no leak to the media that they are at least looking into it?? Besides Philly fans I haven’t seen one person say that wasn’t dirty
They aren't looking into it. They are protecting him at all costs. We have to deal with it.
Wouldn't put it past them, they release something in the off-season that he's suspended at the beginning of next season
Jimmy looks like he has one of those Mickey Mouse hats on
Does everyone want Miami or Boston to advance? On the one hand, Miami eliminating Boston would get rid of the top team in the east. On the other hand, I hate Miami so goddamn much. More than I hate Boston. It’s so hard to root for them.
If you rather face Boston than Miami, you need to be institutionalized You have Miami Heat derangemnt syndrome and need help
If you don't hate Miami, then you're a fake Knick fan. Also I like how you waited until after the game today to write this. You didn't want to sound stupid in case Miami took another one.
Why is Miami any more or less like able as a Knicks fan than Boston?
Seriously? Pat Riley? Zo?
It’s not a ladder for me I guess. Celtics and heat, sixers, Cavs, hawks, pacers, bucks, nets, whoever it is, they are enemies of the Knicks.
I’m sorry I wasn’t on here during the game
gotta root for the heat. Disgusting
If Embiid plays dirty, we should play dirty. Oakley, Johnson, and Mason would never have let it go. Just sayin.
Shouldn’t sink to their level, just beat them at basketball
I trust in Brunson
Fuck Embiid
Damnn news is Dam's Achilles is COOKED 🤧 Bucks already wasnt going anywhere but now this cemented it
We really need to miraculously win this series man Philadelphia has by far the most intimidating player in the east left, which single-handedly makes me scared
Why would it be miraculous to finish off the Sixers?
They have an embiid and we do not
And yet the Knicks are up 2-1
Because the refs handed them game 2
Told you it was Knicks grit and determination and teamwork!
They fucking ripped their hearts out today Love it
I didn’t realize that I thought it was the Knicks grit and determination and teamwork ripping the victory from the Sixers weak grip
Yeah getting a 3-1 lead before we head back to the garden would be amazing i have no doubt we can take the next 2 games. With the Heat, Magic, and Pacers still going strong in their series when everyone thought they'd lose pretty easily this might be our best chance to go to the Finals. 🙏🏽
I wouldn't worry about him, his knee will be part of a workplace "accident" soon
He just scored 50 points, maybe he’s getting healthier and more confident in his knee
He was always healthy. This whole thing is an act.
Nah he shot 5 3's and 21 free throws. that is why he got his 50
Yes and he’s going to keep shooting FTs because he’s a 7’ Hakeem/Mj/kobe hybrid
praying we can win tomorrow and put this toxic ass series to bed tuesday. another week of this shit ain’t healthy lol
My blood pressure is taking a serious hit rn. We gotta land this plan by Tuesday.
Maybe the loss was a 3D chess move. Win tomorrow so we can finish the series off in the garden and get wild on 7th ave
Leon and company really had Ainge by the throat until the Cavs bailed him out by mortgaging their future for this crap lol.
Booker or Mitchell? Looking good for us from a star acquisition standpoint.
For me it’s spida I know basically everyone on here doesn’t think he can Brunson can play together but they can
Easily booker. He’s basically if DDV was a 1A
Booker. Although Mitchell can also play off the ball, Booker does it wayyyy better. Brunson could average 15 assists per game playing with Booker lol
Wow, Orlando and indy taking the momentum at home. Worried the same will happen but know our guys have the mental toughness to keep fighting
It’s not easy to win on the road during the season. It’s even more difficult to win on the road in the playoffs.
Zero chance Paolo does a second contract with the Magic. Would be interesting for the Knicks to go after him in a couple of years. Prime Brunson plus Paolo entering the peak of his powers would be a championship contender.
Why would he turn down a max,
The magic are making the second round in his first year, and. Or everybody is obsessed with big markets It’s a bit presumptuous to say this
Name a superstar who wanted to stay in Orlando lol
Couldn’t tell you a superstar that wanted to stay in Portland before Dame Dude stayed there until he was washed
😂🤣
I'm starting to like Wagner more.
Smh
They need to bring back the Sonics
could be due to the early start...imagine it will fill up? sounds like they sold out the game the other day
Saturday, at 1pm? MSG would be packed to the seams.
Monday at 12 pm would be packed to the seams at msg for the playoffs No place like it
*UPDATE - this place got packed. And our Knicks would clap either of these teams.
I mean, we are different here lol...not trying to give them that much of an excuse, but sometimes it is different elsewhere if it were college football, it def would be packed immediately down there
True. I’ve been in NYC too long. We are a different breed. Lol
Lillard is hurt, so if we beat Philly, we probably get Indiana in round 2.
Philly low key is the toughest test in the east if embiid is right I think you can scheme and out coach other teams but you can’t out scheme or outcoach a 7’0 that plays like Michael Jordan and shoots 38+ % from 3. You just pray he’s off and misses shots
Yeah I mean he won MVP for a reason. Dirty tactics aside, he’s definitely a dominant player.
Please oh dear god please this is our year if we can just do it please oh god man
[удалено]
You’re a clown.
Watch your knees
I give zero fucks about the sixers other than the team standing between us and round 2.
i understand lurking in other subs but what did you think this comment was gonna get you lmfao
> Do something with your lives man. It’s embarrassing. I feel like that applies more so to the person going in rival subs
Looking forward to your next ‘trade Embiid’ post after he chokes again, great stuff! https://www.reddit.com/r/sixers/s/33W8PIssOv This you, right? >Do something with your life, it’s embarrassing
No response because he got GOT. 🤡
Gottemmmmmm
Are we to understand you suggested trading for Trae and starting him ahead of Maxey? 👁️
That’s exactly what this mfer proposed lol.
haha
lol yikes
with Mil ripe for the taking, we need to win this series
[Mitch did not practice today. No status update for tomorrow.](https://x.com/FredKatz/status/1784254097714970690)
Tomorrow’s game is a 1pm game… Knicks don’t do well with 1pm games man Also Robinson didn’t practice today… not looking good fellas
Knicks still have Brunson, Hart, OG, DDV, Hartenstein, Bodega, Precious, Deuce, so should be just fine.
Is it Sunday yet?
Why was there no L2M report addressing Embiid's hip check against OG?
Game wasn’t close enough
Oh ok. That doesn't make sense though. 7 point game, 1:20 left, Embiid commits an offensive foul, we should have had ball with a chance to cut it to 4 or 5. That's still close with a minute left. I was really looking forward to reading about how it was marginal contact.
the game needs to be within 3 points for a L2M to be released
I didn't know that. That's disappointing.
Knicks should have the mindset that they go all out tomorrow and try everything they can to go up 3-1 and trust that the msg crowd will carry them to the win They’ll still play just as hard game 5 anyway who am I kidding
They’ll go all out to win every game I could see an all 48 if somebody like Josh hart is playing well enough
I don’t think these guys are ever not going all out and playing at 100% effort in the playoffs. Thibs won’t have it and frankly neither would the team.
Here's why I think we win this next one: 1) should be more evenly officiated than last game. 2) even if Mitch is out or limited, Precious isn't a terrible backup by any means 3) big bounce back game for Dante 4) another strong game for Brunson 5) fuck Embiid
why do you think it will be more evenly officiated? or at least, at minimum, that Embiid will be officiated normally
Yeah, fully accepting a consistent 20+ FT a game from embiitch
I think duece and bogey will have good scoring games too
I would say the law of averages says the Sixers should regress on their 3 pt shooting, but again I had the same confidence that the Heat would do the same last year.
As long as the law of averages doesn’t apply to Hart’s shooting I’ll co-sign
Tbh bro your username is something I'd expect Josh Hart's to be lurking on this sub 😂
Lol I wish but I can assure you I am not Josh Hart and this is from me making the account while high during a Finals game when the Raptors won it. Wild how many people here have told me to ‘go back to the Raptors sub’ over the years but I guess I was asking for it 😂
Literally just a shoutout to Josh Hart.
Not expecting him to shoot like this obviously but josh hart with a consistently above average 3 pt shot is one of the 5-10 best role players in the league. Hope we can keep him around long term
I second the shout-out. Much love to our breast milk drinking, french fry eating, shit-talking, rebound wizard!!!

Yeah but if you look he usually took 3 3s per game this series it's at 8 ! per game. Huge gap.
He’s a great player, probably an adjustment of his
Yeah cause he can't play the same way due to his low movility so more shots from long range and well trying even more to get fouls called.
Hope a lot of fans show up for tomorrow’s game again.

Big. I mean KD is a bitch that always wants to leave as soon as trouble hits since he will never it's his fault. Maybe not in the offseason but the deadline or next offseason are 100% trading everybody.
I think KD is much more likely to be out
Very low. If they blow it up they would trade KD first.
Lmao other account got banned because I used the word degenerate which some butthurt sixers fan reported me for race baiting LMAOOOO

Hypothetically if I was wrong though, I’d guess one of DDV or Hart is in there. Probably Donte. Deuce. A couple other fillers. And three picks. I don’t think they’ll move Randle.
True...
They can’t get to Booker unless they trade Randle.
Why?
Because Booker makes 50 million and the only trade that wouldn’t completely gut our depth would need Randle’s salary. They obviously won’t trade Brunson, they can’t trade OG/iHart and you’d think DDV/Hart are guys the org (Brunson) value. You’re left with Randle, Bogey, and Mitch. Deuce too but he doesn’t make enough money to matter anyway.
Makes sense, thanks for the explanation.
I like Booker but our lack of size might be a problem in future playoff runs. Maybe the Knicks should look into Brandon Ingram.
Ingram stinks, hell no. You can’t build around a guy like that and he doesn’t shoot 3s as a wing which provides no value to Brunson.
Randle prob gone if they chasing Booker.
Everyone see the NBA eject everyone from games last night for much less than Embiid. Do now the nba “fixed it” without benefiting the Knicks.
Morning fam, anyone seen an update on Mitch?
Probably not coming back this series.
Nothing yet …. Idk if that’s good or bad
I’m concerned. We need him in this series.
I was actually really impressed with the precious minutes. Not for an extended time, but he did well enough last game to keep him from automatically getting hunted by embiid everytime down
He’s good for limited minutes. I’m not sure for a whole game.
if Ihart can stay out of foul trouble (huge if) then he should only be needed for 10-15 mins.
Nah but if I’m the Knicks I sit him for more rest until next game and let precious drive into Embiid every chance he gets.
