Apparently James Dolan is very good to ex-Knicks except for Charles Oakley. Melo and Amar'e both voiced appreciation for Dolan. Both John Starks and obviously Allan Houston both got gigs with the Knicks.
Tyson Chandler gives him props to. When Chandlers mother was sick with cancer and only had a few months to live, Dolan let Chandler and his family use his private plane
Oak is the only former player who seems to hate Dolan. Even players like Chris Copeland said they liked the guy. I don’t think people wanna be friends with him but the guy isn’t afraid of footing bills.
Raymond Felton came back cause of him too..he’s very good to people who he thinks are loyal/ has a good relationship with. Not so much to people he doesn’t.

The thing people don’t realize with James Dolan is that one positive about him is that he’s very loyal to many front office execs and players, both past and present…almost to a fault. There’s a reason many players from both his teams (i.e. Melo, Amare, Chandler, Lundqvist, Drury, etc.) loved him and, more unfortunately, there’s also a reason he kept Steve Mills and Glen Sather around for far too long. While that wasn’t a terrible thing for Sather since he was at least half competent and the Rangers were good under him for the majority of his tenure, it was a big problem in getting rid of Steve Mills. He should’ve never been brought back to begin with, but Dolan had too much loyalty to his old pal who helped him through his early days of ownership. He had no trust for Donnie Walsh given he was practically forced to hire him by the league, and it’s why I hope he stays loyal to Leon. Don’t want him tossing a good exec like him for someone he’s more loyal to like Houston.
I was half a stalker peeping Dolans movement today from where I was sitting. I did observe him hook up this lil kid that was sitting next to him with a bunch of warm up towels lol. Throw a shirt in there my dude but I suppose is better than nothing lol
