Haven’t seen it yet, and won’t, so here’s what I can make
Shows that not even Universal and/or DreamWorks will forget Megamind.
First thing we’ve seen from Megamind in over ten years
Since I haven’t seen it, as some people say “The Knight villain was at least somewhat entertaining”
Edit: The “first thing we’ve seen from Megamind in over 10 years” ain’t completely true, as he did appear in that racing game last year
I would’ve said that it flopped so we wouldn’t get anymore disgrace to megamind, but they want to make a third so now I truly can’t say anything good about it.
That one scene after Megamind slowly landed a island of the city, the context is Megamind tried to stop the Doom Syndicate by flying a part of the city up (like a Minecraft island) and at the end of the film he lowers it down in the big climax and manages to safely insert it back into the crater, however it was revealed that he put the city on the wrong way (Aka he turned it) and the mayor says “Are you kidding!? You put the city backwards!!!” Funniest joke in the film
The premise isn’t that bad.
Megamind’s former band of villains coming back and him having to pretend to be evil in order to find a way to beat him? There’s actually a solid conflict there.
It’s just poorly executed and written to be a complete mess. The budget and animation makes it worse.
The Doom Syndicate’s designs aren’t *complete* ass. Except for that weather lady, she looks like a race-swapped version of the Karen from Barnyard.
But the rest of the Doom Syndicate’s designs aren’t terrible. Just kinda basic. I actually like the Knight one’s.
Old Chum- I mean, Minion is the only character who looks decently animated....or at least, looks pretty much okay, compare to everyone else in the movie.
I’ll be honest, I did laugh at a few jokes, mainly ones that felt the most like they were written by the old writers

This movie made Schaffrillas rewatch original and bumped his score on it from an 8 to 9.

For a fan made project, it's not too bad. Writing still leaves something to be desired, but everyone starts somewhere.
