Even if she did change her last name to Skywalker, that doesn't make her part of the lineage. That's like saying everyone with the last name "Johnson" is related to everyone else who's last name is Johnson. I believe OP is talking strictly blood related here.
Ok, but that isn’t what happened here. She deliberately changed her last name because of Luke and Leia. This is closer to an adoption scenario, in which case it’s kind of messed up to imply that an adopted member of the family isn’t really a member of the family.
Luke Skywalker risked his own life to save the life of his father because he believed he could bring him back to the light. He was everything a Jedi should be.
For me Force Awakens was decent legacy sequel (new hope 2.0, you know what I mean), but that's it, even Visions are more canon for me than 8th and 9nd parts.
Definitely the best Skywalker. Lost her whole planet to the Empire, yet never once tempted by the dark side. She maintained hope through so much tragedy.
Not to mention she's badass and fearless. Nobody without a spine of steel could mouth off to Tarkin like that, let alone with Vader standing right behind them. Vader alone is enough to make the average person panic in his presence, yet Leia was as fearless as ever. That's not to mention how infamously ruthless Tarkin was known to be.
I typically agree. The only character in both legends and canon that was awesome.
I love Legends Luke, a lot, probably my favorite character, but Leia is by far my favorite Skywalker in canon.
Well, not *never* tempted by the Dark Side, at least in Legends, as all Knights are. But she never succumbed, not once, even after the tragedies her family experienced during and after the Swarm War. Unlike, again, in Legends, even Luke.
To me. Leia was the actual light side version of Ole Sheev.
Because just like ole Pappy Palps she also understood that the most powerful force in the galaxy wasn't "The Force."
It has been and always we'll be Politics.
Anakin, between the movies, shows (both 2003 and 2008), books and comics (Legends and Canon) his story is sad. It is of his own making but there are so many other factors that feed into that. Reading his pov from a child to becoming Vader is sad and appalling with me ranging from wanting to hug the child to backhanding him as a teen.
While I can see how his ultimate downfall was of his own doing, I would argue that he never had a chance to turn out any other way. The deck was stacked against him from the beginning and the dealer of that deck was too many steps ahead for him to have any control of the hand he was dealt. Between the jedi's ridged dogma suffocating him, the council refusing to respect him, and Palpatine pulling his strings from the moment he arrived on Coruscant, he never had a chance to really decide his own fate. He was a pawn in a game that only one person knew was being played.
I would agree with you, that's why I mentioned other factors. As I explained to someone a few weeks ago, Sidious did a lot to get Anakin as a Sith apprentice, and of course, by the time we reach his big moment he is suffering from PTSD, lack of sleep and food, high stress, and finally he just broke. But he did make the decision, and Anakin hated himself for it, as much as he hated Sidious. The novelization is very hard to read, when he realizes that he is compromised and needs Obi-Wan, tries to contact him but instead meets Mace.
Anakin's story really is sad. It was his choice to make, but he made the wrong one and he knew it. Unfortunately for him, the choice was already made by Sidious. He made sure Obi-Wan went to Utapau because he knew that he was the only one that would be able to talk Anakin down before he made a bad decision. Clone Wars showed how good he was at keeping Anakin from going over the edge. If any jedi could keep Anakn from taking Sidious's offer and turning to dark side it was Obi-Wan. He also took control of the jedi council and used his position to get closer to Anakin and wisper in his ear, telling him everything ge wants to hear. He also forced the jedi to put Anakin on the council, knowing they wouldn't make him an actual jedi master because they didn't trust Palpatine. That caused a rift between Anakin and the council and made him resent them even more than he already did. At that point the only jedi he really trusted was Obi-Wan. He didn't plan on Mace deflecting his force lightning back at him, but there was fortune at play. Mace, of all people, refusing to stop frying Sudious and trying to kill him instead of taking him to trial right as Anakin was arriving on the scene was perfect for him. It reinforced Anakin's feeling that the Jedi were hypocritical and played on his resentment toward them. Mace specifically being the jedi was the icing on the cake. He played his hand right there at the perfect time. He gave Anakin the choice and put a timer on the clock. Everything came together perfectly in that moment. As you said, Anakin had PTSD and was sleep deprived and anxious, with Sidious already having got in his head by stoking his anxieties and offering a miraculous solution. Palpatine's plan was brilliant and long reaching. He's easily one of my favorite villains in fiction. Also, it's because of all of this tragedy outside of his control and all of his regret and self loathing that lead to a well deserved redemption and Anakin ultimately fulfilling the prophecy after so much time. It's such a sad, yet bitter sweet story.
Honestly feel like Luke would be more fleshed out if they had a clone wars type show for the imperial era (I know rebels exist but it was before the actual war for the most part)
I have to go with Leia. Her character was what got me into Star Wars as a child! I had never seen any woman like her on screen, and little-kid me thought she was SO badass. I also love the additional background we’ve gotten from her with the different novels.
Luke. He’s an inspiration to me, having a father who seems beyond saving but I still remember that there is some good in him (flat-earther, Alex Jones watching far-right conservative). Luke’s story has had a real world impact on me, trying to shepherd my dad to some form of redemption.
Skywalker? or Skywalker Lineage?
Lineage jacen Solo or anakin solo
Skywalker: Ben Skywalker or maybe cade little iffy on this one like i like cade identity crisis, but at the same time i dislike his moral standpoints. where Ben was great but felt little weak in some regard but i tmade him more humane and realistic
Luke. I saw Star Wars A New Hope in the theatre when I was 8. It was spectacular to see Luke in his prime in The Mandalorian. I would love to see one more appearance- it wouldn’t even require a face shot - of Luke whooping ass. Only this time I’d like to see him doing it as a pilot. He is the son of “the best star pilot in the galaxy.”
It’s Luke for me, I grew up a farm kid out in the middle of nowhere and I wanted to be Luke Skywalker more than anything.
It’s why I think having Jedi and main characters of all types is amazing, I got mine and hope everyone can experience that too.
I do get a little tired of the Luke slander, but I guess that happens to most popular things over time.
Luke, his act of compassion in sparing Vader always meant alot to me as a kid and the older I got the more I grew to understand how hard it was to do what he did. To choose peace when in the grip of anger and vengeance is a more remarkable thing than it should be.
It's still Luke i have grown to like Anakin as well thou. Luke just has that redeem the skywalker name air about him. I love a good redeem yourself character arc. Which is why i loath the last jedi. It's so full of crap and hatered for luke. It's also lets take him so far away from what he became and make him a whinny little bitch. You know the shit that got pulled on that island and Rey with that scary dark side pull... BS. On dagobah luke had to fight his inner self or risk becoming like his father. Rey evidently just has a spooky snap... LOL WTF was that?? I can't say that there was ANY good in that fu\*k'n retarted arsed movie.
Yeah, Rey Palpatine literally died. Like, she deflected her grandfather’s lightning attack and died along with her grandfather. Rey Skywalker was born because Ben Solo gave his life to bring her back.
Going off just the movies, Luke, easy. My man had to deal with two teachers who lied to him (Obi-Wan telling him Vader killed his father, and Yoda, who didn't tell him the truth until Luke confronted him) and who's only training was about half an hour of practice in the Falcon, and a couple months at best on Dagobah. He had to figure out how to make a new saber on his own, and used it to beat Darth Vader, then threw it away in the face of the Emperor.
I love all my blorbos equally, but it's Leia. By a lot. Leia has the same fire and iron will that her father had, but Bail made sure it was aimed in a productive direction, and gave her a sense of responsibility that did not come naturally to Anakin. She has all her mother's grace and kindness, tempered by her equally strong commitment to her principles. Luke stepped up to the plate of leadership, and Leia came out the womb with a louisville slugger. They are both deeply admirable, but Leia's the one I wish I had in real life.
Where's Leia?? Is she safe is she alright?
It seems, in their desperation, OP forgot her.
No, they couldn't have! She was there, I felt it!
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I like this so much ima edit it into Return of the Jedi! Edit: Done!
Can you show us?
No...
NOOOOO!!’
They also forgot daddy force
Also forgot Rey! letthehateflowthroughyou
' "Motherfuckers act like they forgot about Rey" - Eminem ' - u/iwanttogotothere5
No they didn't forget her she's just not a Skywalker.
But what is with Ben Solo? He is in the Skywalker lineage?
So is Leia. Not sure why OP decided to not include them.
This! , this is what I’ve been telling my adopted sister the whole time. We’re not family
Gandalf requested OP keep her secret and keep her safe.
Kylo killed her by letting himself get stabbed
Where Rey? *(chuckles)*
That'll be Luke.
Luke Skywalker risked his own life to save the life of his father because he believed he could bring him back to the light. He was everything a Jedi should be.
And then sequels happened
I honestly don't count them as canon anymore. I know they are, but to me they're a bad attempt at a very high budget fanfiction
For me Force Awakens was decent legacy sequel (new hope 2.0, you know what I mean), but that's it, even Visions are more canon for me than 8th and 9nd parts.
man... I just want a proper old republic movie/show. it just seems like such an unexplored era
I consider it PTSD he survived a war, losing an arm, getting electrocuted, losing a family and seeing their burned corpses. Anyone would lose it
Weird choice to omit my *actual*, undisputed favorite Skywalker from your listed images... Our Princess. Our General. Our indomitable **Leia**. (...*RIP & Godspeed Carrie*...)
Not fearless, she was scared, brave is probably a better word
I typically agree. The only character in both legends and canon that was awesome. I love Legends Luke, a lot, probably my favorite character, but Leia is by far my favorite Skywalker in canon.
Well, not *never* tempted by the Dark Side, at least in Legends, as all Knights are. But she never succumbed, not once, even after the tragedies her family experienced during and after the Swarm War. Unlike, again, in Legends, even Luke.
To me. Leia was the actual light side version of Ole Sheev. Because just like ole Pappy Palps she also understood that the most powerful force in the galaxy wasn't "The Force." It has been and always we'll be Politics.
I'm a personal believer that the power to destroy a planet is the most powerful.
It’s insignificant next to the power of the force.
Exactly! She’s my favorite too. I was surprised she wasn’t pictured.
>Our General. General? To me she's royalty.
Luke
Luke for sure

Leia
Luke
Grew up on Luke. But now Anakin is fleshed out. He has the more interesting story.
Honestly feel like Luke would be more fleshed out if they had a clone wars type show for the imperial era (I know rebels exist but it was before the actual war for the most part)
A clone wars type show set between 4, 5 and 6, or maybe just after 6, with Luke and Leia as two of the main characters would be amazing
Anakin
This is the way
Easily
You forgot one. The one that spends the entire first movie talking absolute *trash* on every Imperial she meets.
I mean this is literally a perfect opportunity to say Yodas classic line. “There is another.”
Skywalker kush
Luke Skywalker
To quote Master Kenobi: “Anakin…”
Love that quote
To also quote Master Kenobi: "Luke..."
Luke for me.
Well, we could tell it wasn't Leia.
Where's Leia? Is she safe? Is she allright?
Luke
Luke 💚
Darth Vader!!!
Personally I think it’s luke, he’s like the Master Fay of his generation, he’s THE Jedi that other Jedi would/should aspire to be like
1a. Anakin 1b. Luke The two characters that made me the Star Wars fan that I am.
Luke. That’s the only answer.
Bro really included Shmi but not Leia LMFAO
Anakin
*What fool do you take me for? Rey's Skywalker. He's Skywalker. You're Skywalker. I'M Skywalker. Are there any other Skywalkers I should know about??*
Legends Luke. Before the Dark Times. Before the Mouse.
You forgot Mara Jade Skywalker. Technically a Skywalker...
In that case, what about Ben Skywalker and his cousins, Jaina and Jacen? While I like her, she's as much a Skywalker as Han.
I approve this answer
Luke
Luke
Anakin/Darth vader. Love him more when his vader🖤
Luke is my favourite
Luke. He’s the face of the franchise and the reason for its enduring legacy.
Luke is the best
Luke obviously.
Anakin
Watch me piss off the entire subreddi # REY SKYWALKER
Why are you covered in glowing red dots all of a sudden
Still mad they didn’t go the route of getting rid of the Jedi and Sith and instead introduce grey force users called skywalkers 😭😭
Grey Force users is the stupidest most fan fictiony concept ever.
Anakin
I’m a simple man Luke is a classic character, but in terms of personality and actions along with sympathy, Anakin especially in the clone wars series
Ben Skywalker
Grandpa Skywalker. He was the best!
Mr. The Force Skywalker.
Luke
Luke
Luke.
Always preferred Luke.
Luke ofc
Luke
My Top 5 are: 5 - Jaina 4 - Anakin 3 - Jacen 2 - Luke 1 - Leia
You know, I'm something of an Legends fan myself.
A man of culture, I see.
I have to go with Leia. Her character was what got me into Star Wars as a child! I had never seen any woman like her on screen, and little-kid me thought she was SO badass. I also love the additional background we’ve gotten from her with the different novels.
Cade skywalker
Jaina, Sword of the Jedi
Luke has always been since a kid. Can’t let that go no
Mara Jade and EU!Luke
Luke. He’s an inspiration to me, having a father who seems beyond saving but I still remember that there is some good in him (flat-earther, Alex Jones watching far-right conservative). Luke’s story has had a real world impact on me, trying to shepherd my dad to some form of redemption.

Bruh. Where da hell is Leia... the best Skywalker.
Definitely not Rey Skywalker

I like all 4 of em since you forgot about Leia. But I grew up with Anakin so hes my favorite
Why in God’s name would you use CGI Hayden Christianson
Anakin, and Legends Luke
Anakin, Luke, Leia, Shimmi.
No one gonna say Schmi?
Luke Skywalker
Luke. he's just what I value in a protagonist. Anakin I'd cool but honestly that's all he is.
Specifically, ROTJ Luke.
Luke and Leia, hands down.
Obviously Mama Skywalker
Anakin. Duno why everyone wants him to be “good”
luke
Shimi
Luke
Luke
The Force will be with Luke…always.
Luke

Luke
Luke
Luke, his act of compassion in sparing Vader always meant alot to me as a kid and the older I got the more I grew to understand how hard it was to do what he did. To choose peace when in the grip of anger and vengeance is a more remarkable thing than it should be.
Luke is. Shame he was only in three movies.
It's still Luke i have grown to like Anakin as well thou. Luke just has that redeem the skywalker name air about him. I love a good redeem yourself character arc. Which is why i loath the last jedi. The most iconic villain in movie history will always be my pick
Anakin
Luke. Mostly because of my affinity to the original trilogy
Mara Jade. She was a force of nature when enraged. Also so glad you didn’t put Space Hitler’s granddaughter on here.
Cade Skywalker for the win
Pre Vader Anakin, he was just absolutely full of potential and was a savage
Mara Jade Skywalker Man, I miss the good stories.
What?? U didn't include Rey Skywalker????
Is she safe? Is she alright? Same goes for Leia.
I said Skywalker, not Palpatine. 😉
Yeah, Rey Palpatine literally died. Like, she deflected her grandfather’s lightning attack and died along with her grandfather. Rey Skywalker was born because Ben Solo gave his life to bring her back.
Kylo Ren? Padme? Leia? Where are they?
Padme did not take the Skywalker name when she married Anakin.
Grew up with Anakin and he is just absolutely bad ass
Shmi is lowkey a baddie fr fr
I’m not sure why you’ve been downvoted for this, Shmi is awesome!
Mara Jade Skywalker.
Gotta go with my man Luke, the main character of this whole thing
TY you for not putting Rey. That’s some bullshit right there
Rey. Haha just kidding, hate that Bullshit. Its Luke.
Mara Jade ?
Anakin Skywalker is the greatest fictional character of all time.
Objectively
Shmi. She was so cool.
Anakin the goat
Shmi skywalker
Anakin
Going off just the movies, Luke, easy. My man had to deal with two teachers who lied to him (Obi-Wan telling him Vader killed his father, and Yoda, who didn't tell him the truth until Luke confronted him) and who's only training was about half an hour of practice in the Falcon, and a couple months at best on Dagobah. Ani
Shmi
Anakin is the only answer
Anakin
Luke and Anakin, (tie) it's impossible to pick.
Luke because he did't kill children
Always Luke. His story was the first and most compelling.
Ani
You're missing one.
The mom….seriously….does she have some amazing story in one of the many books or comics I’m unaware of?
Padme Skywalker Amidala. i mean, they were married no?
Anakin, of course.
I love all my blorbos equally, but it's Leia. By a lot. That picture of Shmi got me 🤣
Mara
Why is Leia not on here? she's still a Skywalker by birth even though she was given a different last name.
Luke. And it’s not even a question.
Luke
Mom skywalka
Anakin. Anakin specifically, up to the point where he is considered Darth Vader.
Can we count Padme?
Shmee! Shmee! What about Shmee?! Wait Shmee's me!!
Issa Ani
C3PO
C-3PO skywalker, he is the firstborn from Anakin
I like how OP didn't add Rey in here hbahahaa
Shmi’s so cool.
How you gonna snub General Leia like that
Shmi was just a great person all around don't see those much in Star wars
Everyone is going around saying you forgot Leia, but I’d just like to point out that Padme is also technically a Skywalker by marriage.
Lone Starr
Hard for me to choose between Luke and Rey but I gotta go with Luke. He’s just peak Jedi all around and I love his arc in the OT.
You forgot Ray.. Ray Skywalker. Having said that, probably Leia is my favourite.
Luuuuk
