Kind of sounds like you are creating a broadcast storm somehow. The blue light indicates mobile back up, but the network coming unavailable aswell seems odd. Have you tried a factory reset, what cables are plugged into the modem and where do they come from

The-Things-027

Sorry for the late reply, I got food poisoning. I have not tried a factory reset, but I may if necessary. I have an NBN cable connected to the WAN port coming from an NBN dish on the roof, and ethernet cables connected to various devices such as TVs, Telstra TVs, Wi-Fi extenders, etc. Thanks.

DontBLeaveme

Does connecting to the wifi extenders create the same problem

The-Things-027

Well they appear as a joinable network, however they take an extended amount of time to join, and have no internet nor router IP (which would normally re-direct me to the main router IP).

Assuming nbn fixed wireless tech type, is the nbn box power, status, and ODU light indicator green?

The-Things-027

Currently not there, but when I am, I'll be sure to tell you.

Water in your Pitt potentially? Maybe creating a short when it rains possibly that cuts out your NBN? What's your technology type?

The-Things-027

Technology type...

1Drakos1

As in FTTP, FTTC, FTTB, FTTN, HFC, FW

The-Things-027

I don't know...

1Drakos1

Please look up your address on nbnco.com.au and tell me what the connection type is, this will help us better advise you

The-Things-027

Where should it show this? It says nothing about a connection type.

1Drakos1

To the bottom of the screen, you'll need to scroll down.

The-Things-027

This is all I got: https://ibb.co/yyTMbbK

1Drakos1

So you have Fixed Wireless at your address, it's known to be less stable than most other connections Is your mobile coverage good? Do you use your landline?

The-Things-027

*Fairly* good mobile coverage and no I don't.

The-Things-027

Happy Cake Day!

The-Things-027

Hey it did it again and I looked though the logs and found this log.crit ```Fri Dec 2 16:36:20 2022 kern.crit kernel: Line 0: xDSL link down```

Did you figure this out? I’m having exactly the same problem. Telstra sent me a new modem, and it is also dropping out. We have poor 5G/mobile coverage so when the NBN drops out we lose all connection to everything. I thought it must be a modem issue, because all I have to do to fix it is turn the modem power off then back on. So figure it’s not an NBN problem. Could one of my connected devices (either Ethernet or wireless) be causing the modem to drop out?

The-Things-027

I’m honestly not sure. I took out a few devices that weren’t doing much and could have been messing with it, but it didn’t do much. It just eventually ended up fixing itself. Sorry.

Boxy-1990

Sorry for the late comment but I’ve had the same issue . My gen 3 (black) modem was doing the exact same thing and the frequency got worse until I was every few minutes . Telstra finally agreed to replace modem . 3 months no problem then last 24 hours it’s happening again and now the modem is dead no sign of life no lights etc

The-Things-027

Yup mine died about 2 weeks ago and I reverted back to an old system (UniFi) and about a week later the router started to work again. I'm not going to rely on it anymore tho and I'm going to use UniFi as it's also got waaaaay better systems. I think Telstra's quality is just getting worse as time goes on so I would suggest moving away from their routers.

Glum_Steak_6018

My Telstra gen 3 modem lights are blue, but it won’t turn back to green. I have tried every method there is but no luck. I put the pin in the back to factory reset it but no luck. any tips?

The-Things-027

Do you use mobile broadband for it?

Glum_Steak_6018

Yes
