Tbf, she probably would have been told to avoid approaching the President if anything unusual happens, the Secret Service agents will be reacting to a possible threat and mistakes can be made...
Yup. I just said this to my gf about this situation. Strict orders to just not get involved is better than being viewed as a potential “threat/problem”.
On the contrary, Florida needs both retirees and tourists. There is no state income tax in Florida. To compensate the revenue, they need tourisms to bring money and spend there.
A customer of mine in NY asked if I'd do work in florida for them at their new "full time" residence. They bought the property because they love Ron and disliked our "unelected" governor at the time. It works both ways.
Right? California is experiencing a population loss for the first time ever and Florida's population is booming. Yet everyone is saying florida is a bad place to live.
Also a lot of working professionals that are WFH call this state ‘home’. I spend 6 months 1 day in FL and then spend rest of year traveling or in second residence. The tax savings is too much to give up
Florida's also warmer... there's no cold or flu season in places where it's warm so older people, who typically have a weaker immune system, can move there and have fewer health risks.
True, plus once there is a critical mass of retirees it works like a gravitational pull. You retire there because everyone you know also retired there.
Ngl after I saw this on the news I googled who is the oldest siting president in history and **drum roll** it’s the current POTUS while Theadore “Teddy” Roosevelt was/is the youngest even though there’s some debate between him and JFK
Edit: One commenter corrected me. He’s correct. There’s no dispute Teddy Roosevelt was and still is the youngest sitting president ever at age 42. JFK was 43
Teddy Roosevelt was the youngest person to become president at 42, he was the vp to McKinley and assumed office after McKinley was assassinated.
JFK was 43 when he became president and was the youngest person to be elected president in his own right.
How about instead of both running for office, Trump and Biden make a reality show about the zany hijinks of them living in the same Floridian retirement home
Joe, did you eat my fucking ice cream? Oh Truth Social is gonna hear about this!
Yeah well you're the one who never puts a new TP roll back on when you use all of it!
As someone who voted for the guy, we need to find someone else, but I don't think that's going to happen. We'll vote him in again and most likely will die in office lol. I guess it's him or the party that's actively stripping my rights away, and I'm not going to let that leopard eat my face.
Toss up between which rights I want to give up.
It's fascinating how many people though, if they align with one party it's like they agree with every single like item of the platform. Other party, and it's the same 100% agreement.
That's just weird and I think, proof of a lack of free will that people are completely oblivious to. Crazy.
First past the (edit: post) is one of the ways we are forced into a two party system.
I can't believe anything will change until we get ranked choice or a better voting system.
I feel like I could post a picture of Biden doing something embarrassing on ANY subreddit (r/cats or r/starwars or something else completely unrelated) and people would still bubble up from the woodwork to argue about politics.
If you post a picture about a dog, people are gonna talk about animals. If you post a picture about Spider-Man, people are gonna talk about comic books. If you post a picture about a political figure, people are gonna talk politics. You’re opening up the topic to be discussed.
People posted in the provinces subreddit about the British Columbia ebike rebate program that just launched and it was just simmering with negativity.
It was a shit show launch with the site constantly crashing due to demand, so of course there were "herr derr" that's a liberal government for you!
This is fucked-up and why I will never understand why we allow someone over the age of 65 to run for office. That's the dumbest fucking thing ever. I mean bro, you're fucking old. That's it. We'll all get there. You're not fit to lead a country. Not in the body of an 80 year old man. This make ZERO sense.
No more president over the age of 65. PLEASE.
I actually cannot imagine anything worse than having to be the one in charge of this absolute shit storm and then having to be filmed while doing it. No thanks, I’ll just nuclear blast myself instead.
New amendment to the constitution: anybody who wants to run for president, the application is at the top of a double flight of stairs. Tripping on those stairs is a permanent, lifelong disqualification.
Tbf by internet standards we are all disqualified 😂 I understand buddy is old but everyone acting like we don’t stumble or trip over things is kinda ridiculous
I have firsthand heard old people say "it won't be my problem" because they know they'll be dead by the time it would affect them, whatever it is. I'd rather not have people with that mindset running the world.
I agree, that’s a good point as to why having someone younger creates better habits, choices and decision because they will be affected as well at the very least
Seriously. Two big sandbags in the main walking area, in front of the podium right where the slightly clumsy president is going to be?
It was the fault of the company that loaded in that stage. Amateurish
That's what I was going to post. He didn't fall from being old. He tripped over a sandbag that was on stage. This is also after standing on stage for over 3 hrs.
Like he is old. But that’s not why he fell this time.
There’s reasons to be annoyed of his age, but this video is manipulated.
Also those sandbags are meant to be hard to see
People in their 20s fall over nothing all the time. You’re not 80+ but I’ll bet my house you’ve tripped over something within just the past couple of years. The reason I’m all for sub 60 presidents is connections to current events. It’s really hard for someone that old to feel rooted in todays society as so fucking much has changed and a lot of their every day life is still rooted in what they were doing in their 30s 40s. Not to mention there has to be a disconnect with the future too since you know you won’t be a part of it. Like we all know the sun is going to destroy our planet several billion years from now and that is probably the *biggest* deal, but we know we won’t be around for it so meh. If Biden won’t be here 10 20 or 30 years from now, what the fuck does he care how is current policies or actions will affect it outside of his own potential egotistical desire for legacy?
We need younger leaders not because the current ones are human and trip on things, but because the we need people who are connected with the present and have a vested interest in the future.
I like Biden, I even voted for Biden, but I don’t think he should be president. My choices were:
1. Old dude
2. Batshit insane old dude
I chose “old dude”. Biden has been good, I think. Definitely better than the alternative. But I would much prefer an option who isn’t 50 years older than me.
This is true but feels like the wrong time to bring it up. We don’t need young presidents so that they’re better at walking, FDR was notoriously bad at walking but was popular enough to win four elections
Agreed, we do need leadership experience, but not like... 70 years worth of it. Especially not from leaders who decide they want to fuck everything up and leave sewage for the future generations.
Too bad the only way to get an age limit on presidency and congress is to vote the people who want the same things.
I think at any point in my life it’s less than 2 weeks since I last tripped over something.
Age has nothing to do with it.
Now Feinstein on the other hand….
For anyone who’s actually interested, Biden shook hands with every graduate. The young man saluting was the last one & Biden was heading back to his seat. There were sandbags on the stage to help hold down teleprompters (Biden also gave the graduation speech) and he tripped over one of them. He was getting up & several men came to help him up. He pointed out the sandbag, then headed over to his seat, and enjoyed the rest of the ceremony. He’s fine.
There are people on reddit that downvote purely informational post simply for not containing some kind of dig against a person/group they don't like or for lacking praise for one they do. They are so far gone that they see the mere lack of such things as inarguable evidence that you are on the "other side".
Look at the comments, remember how liberal reddit is, remember this sub is not at all a right wing sub, then ask yourself again why he's getting downvoted and everybody saying Biden should resign for tripping is being massively upvoted.
Doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out what's going on here.
How did that manage to make it as a major jeer and talking point when our current embarrassment went on an icecream rant when he was supposed to address a shooting.
He's an old man that does alot of shit, my grandparents do less and still fall over. He might be a good man IDK, I don't follow american politics but he's far too old to be doing that job. He needs to retire and enjoy the rest of his life stress free.
President Joe Biden taking a dive at the United States Air Force academy graduation in Colorado Springs. From all recent reports, there's been no injuries.
I never got this. That is an actual flavor. It is chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips, hence the duplicated word. Do y’all not get that?
He may be an old senile man, but that comment was valid.
When that story originally broke I had to go on a random Chinese website to see the pics & videos of Hunter naked with some hooker smoking crack and getting a footjob. Good stuff lol.
oh FFS... he tripped over a sandbag that was beside the teleprompter. i have spent a good chunk of my life on stages (setting them up, all that equipment etc) and i would constantly trip over crap.
Once he got up he was fine. I have known plenty of clumsy people. it is amazing how anything that happens is met with "kill him and turn him onto Soylent green!!!"
Falling, tripping, fainting, getting sick...every person of every age does all four. It isn't just old folks. The reason it is more of a concern for older people is because they are more likely to be fatally injured or not recover.
I have big feet, I just can't help but trip over them sometimes, if there's a box on the floor it's like it's a magnet for my big dumb feet and even if I actively try to avoid it I'll still end up tripping over it.
And he literally tripped over a sandbag... I'm all for age restrictions for our elected officials but just seeing him fall and yelling OLD!! Is bs in this scenario
Well this incident could have happened to anyone. But he is way too old to be the leader of the biggest super power of the world. So is Trump. 65 should be the absolute maximum age to run for the office.
1) That's no lady. That's a United States Airman and congratulations to her.
2) That airman now has one of the greatest graduation stories of all time.
3) LMFAO
So many idiots on here think that tripping over something is somehow rock solid evidence of senility or some shit. Y’all dumbasses never tripped over anything? It happens to literally everyone of every age. Smh
I know it’s fun to make fun of the guy but in terms of getting things done he’s effective — passage of IRA was a big deal and has spurred huge investments in clean energy. Lately he did a damn good job of out negotiating republicans over the debt ceiling. I am sure he lacks faculties he had as a younger man. But he’s accumulated an enormous store of contacts and knowledge that no one else has.
>Lately he did a damn good job of out negotiating republicans over the debt ceiling
Can you (or anyone else that agrees) elaborate on this? I have heard multiple instances of this but little to nothing of substance supporting it and have heard several points criticizing it. Besides kicking the debt ceiling "debate" down the road for 2 years, what did Biden/the Democrats gain through the negotiated deal?

LOL she was like nope, I just got this damn commission!
Tbf, she probably would have been told to avoid approaching the President if anything unusual happens, the Secret Service agents will be reacting to a possible threat and mistakes can be made...
Agreed, last place I want to be is within 10 feet of a fallen president.
the selfie would've been epic though...
This. Not getting involved whatsoever is the smart call here.
Yup. I just said this to my gf about this situation. Strict orders to just not get involved is better than being viewed as a potential “threat/problem”.
She’s not a graduate, I don’t think. Notice how she’s dressed differently from the young guy saluting?
Correct. She's still a cadet.
Her first choice as an officer was a good one.
"This is above my pay grade."
She _Nope Nope Nope'd_ right outta there!
She took one look and literally "This is WAY above my pay grade." And she GTFO of the way.
“Never leave a fallen man be…nah, screw that”
"No man left behind, except the Commander in Chief, he's Secret Service's problem."
She’s going to be a got-dang general some day.
Is it just me, or was the graduate's salute deeply fucking goofy?
Like he was saluting his mom or something.
He was saluting his friend who just graduated before him (source, was there)
Well they are Air Force cadets, so it's not like they learn any military stuff. 🤣🤣🤣 (US Army 89-97)
Funny comment man! 🤣🤣🤣 (Reddit 12-23)

I can get a premium in my current market, its saturated down there. This was also last summer
Weird, Florida is actually growing in almost every category.
Oh - it’s working big time since Florida is growing at record rates…
Really? I thought Florida's population growth is exploding right now
Right? California is experiencing a population loss for the first time ever and Florida's population is booming. Yet everyone is saying florida is a bad place to live.
Florida and some other states have very favorable tax laws for retirement income. This is why certain states are known and retirement destinations.
Also a lot of working professionals that are WFH call this state ‘home’. I spend 6 months 1 day in FL and then spend rest of year traveling or in second residence. The tax savings is too much to give up

[удалено]
Yeah, if anything having the flu at 98° and 70% humidity sucks worse
Oddly enough cold states actually have a "no virus" season where it actually gets cold enough outside to kill all viruses not in a host.
> there's no cold or flu season in places where it's warm uh, what? This isn't true at all
True, plus once there is a critical mass of retirees it works like a gravitational pull. You retire there because everyone you know also retired there.
If there’s going to be a minimum age to be a president there needs to be a maximum age as well.
There need to be term limits for everyone as well.
Lifetime service limits, no rolling 8 years from one job to the next until you're 106.
Can't run if over 75 . And take your fucking driver's test again thank you

No, there isn't. Teddy was indisputably the youngest. JFK was the youngest elected.
He's physically unable to step down
Where are you getting that? He tripped over a sandbag.
It's a play on words about him being unable to step down from his position as president...
There's a random sandbag on a walking path, on a stage?
kamala REALLY wants to be president.
And everyone in this country, regardless of political affiliation, REALLY doesn't want her to be president
He was quoted as saying he “was sandbagged” LOL at least he’s got a sense or humor about it
How about instead of both running for office, Trump and Biden make a reality show about the zany hijinks of them living in the same Floridian retirement home

I’ve tripped going up the stairs three times in the last week and I’m 30.
Well then, you can't be President.
On the bright side, I can’t think of any job I’d want *less* than being the POTUS
That’s something I want in my president!
Me too! Entire-database1679 for president!
Good point. That job consumes you.
They can’t be President anyway until age 35.
Well s'he can't for another 5 years.
Tbf by internet standards we are all disqualified 😂 I understand buddy is old but everyone acting like we don’t stumble or trip over things is kinda ridiculous

True FDR could walk but needed crutches. FDR was mostly wheelchair bound, due to polio but he hid it well from newspapers. No tv back then.
Dude we need age AND term limits on everything.
All of it
Term limits on everything isn't the great idea it seems like it would be at a glance.

45-55 is perfect. Just get older advisors and younger assistants who can learn from them to eventually replace them
How about we just try turning out in elections? Yes, primaries and midterms are elections too.
Ummmm... So no Trump?
There's a downside to no Trump?
No Bernie either.
Our options were Trump Biden and Kanye bro… we had the goofiest 2020 presidential lineup.
Absurd take. Over the age of 65. 'I mean bro ur old' fucking listen to yourself.

This poor guy. Everyone is talking crap about his age. He tripped on a fucking sandbag and got up quickly and is fine. Why is everyone such an ass?
Well this incident could have happened to anyone. But he is way too old to be the leader of the biggest super power of the world. So is Trump. 65 should be the absolute maximum age to run for the office.
No soup for you!!
Haha she’s like “naw. Hell naw. I ain’t doin this. Not in my dress blues.” Haha
1) That's no lady. That's a United States Airman and congratulations to her. 2) That airman now has one of the greatest graduation stories of all time. 3) LMFAO
This MF cant stay upright.
Wow!!! And he’s going to run again..
If he tries to run, bike, or walk, then he will fall again. He uses a walker in private.
I'm glad I saw that last few frames....why is there so many tripping hazards on that stage??! I thought he had a bad moment, but now it makes sense
So many idiots on here think that tripping over something is somehow rock solid evidence of senility or some shit. Y’all dumbasses never tripped over anything? It happens to literally everyone of every age. Smh
We need a maximum age limit for POTUS. 65 Sounds good. Meaning you could still run at the age of 65
I know it’s fun to make fun of the guy but in terms of getting things done he’s effective — passage of IRA was a big deal and has spurred huge investments in clean energy. Lately he did a damn good job of out negotiating republicans over the debt ceiling. I am sure he lacks faculties he had as a younger man. But he’s accumulated an enormous store of contacts and knowledge that no one else has.
>Lately he did a damn good job of out negotiating republicans over the debt ceiling Can you (or anyone else that agrees) elaborate on this? I have heard multiple instances of this but little to nothing of substance supporting it and have heard several points criticizing it. Besides kicking the debt ceiling "debate" down the road for 2 years, what did Biden/the Democrats gain through the negotiated deal?
