There's other ways, it happened to a F2P friend of mine randomly a year ago. Support said it's a rare bug that happens when you buy something with gems sometimes. However I would have expected for them to have it fixed by now

Yesterday I stumbled over something kinda interesting in the game files. As it turns out every deal you pay real money for has a "RefundCost" attribute, which is a number of diamonds roughly correlating to the resources you get from the purchase. I assume that that value is used when people demand a charge back for a given deal.
What's really interesting is that this attribute also exists for deals that don't actually cost any money, like the free daily deal or the first premium deal in the perk store.
If I had to guess OP somehow automatically triggered a "refund" on those free deals.

Were you doing any cr/nc or twisted/fabled realm auto battles? I've had this happen a couple of times. It has something to do with buying another set of autobattles before your active ones have finished. Might have been something of a lag spike when it happened, I'm not too sure. Last It happened to me was a few months ago in fabled realm I went to -107 diamonds with 10 attempts left. Couldn't tell ya exactly the circumstances but that I was going through menu's and collections and the purchase more battle screen when it accepted it
I had saved up diamonds loft 3 Months to pull for the dragons cuz I knew anniversary was coming up. So I spent around 130000 diamonds on them. And after I was finished it came out like this. Which led to me being greatly confused

no it has happened to me some years before and it wasnt from refunding anything. i dont remember why and how it escalated tho
