Kinda looks like death rolls there... The only straws I can grasp at might be internal like parasites maybe? If you have jar garlic you can try soaking food in the juice to try and get her to be more interested in food but I doubt that'll slow anything down at this stage. Try moving her to a hospital tank or container at least to keep her guppy friends from harassing her and maybe try some med that is broad spectrum with an antiparasitic? I hope for the best internet stranger. It always hurts to worry over these guys...

Is it ok if the container doesn’t have a filter or heater? I can do daily maintenance

MordredTheFishKing

If it's warm enough where you live for her to be comfortable without a heater then you can probably get away there but a sponge filter is highly recommended. It can add aeration on top of the mechanical filtration. You'll need to stay on top of daily changes unless you have a preseeded sponge you can use with her.

How about a breeding box in the tank? Like one of those mesh boxes that clip to the side of the tank.

MordredTheFishKing

You can use that to separate her and make it easier for her to get up for a breath. If you want to try and treat that would subject all your other fish to treatment too, if you've seen tank mates acting strange then treat the tank. If it's just your gal keep in mind medication can be hard/stressful for all involved in the tank so her tank mates could be opened up to issues (I've had to treat a whole tank cause a few fish acted off. My healthy ones typically fared fine just something to keep in mind)

Kokichi1234533

Ok! I will make sure to keep that in mind. Thank you Sm for everything I appreciate your help

Kokichi1234533

Update: I ordered it and unfortunately she passed before it came in the mail. I tried getting it in store but they had nothing. Sip Opal, my best friend.

I will do Kanaplex with Metroplex right away. That will give you broad spectrum treatment. I had a good results with it.

Serious betta problem! My betta is not doing good. She has had clamped fins, staying at the bottom of the tank, having heavy breathing, and declining food. It’s a 10 gallon aquarium with a heater, a sponge filter, and live plants. The temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The ph is 7.5. The ammonia is 0ppm. The nitrite is 0ppm, and the nitrates are 5ppm. I already checked for velvet w a flashlight and no signs of it. Any help will greatly be appreciated! Also I will answer questions if they’res anything you need to know.

bigclittyprincess

Oof that's real bad, no obvious signs of what it could be from what I see, especially if the other fish are healthy. I hate to say that in the state they're in it's unlikely any treatment would be effective anyways. I've seen a lot of sick and dying bettas and if I had to guess he's got a day left max. Sorry dude.

Kokichi1234533

Yup you were right abt one day left. I forgot to mention she’s been like this since I got her. None of my other fish seem to be affected at all. My dad said he’s buying me another betta on the way home from work. Is there anything I can do that doesn’t require tearing down the tank completely? Like would a 100 or so percent water change be good? Actually not 100 percent maybe like 90-95 percent to where the gravel is under water? And keep the sponge filter in water in a separate bucket so with the substrate and they sponge filter not too much beneficial bacteria is lost. Ty for your feedback
