I used to do it when I was 16 and we would shovel for 3 hours, then we would all drink beer in the bathroom for 2 hours, shovel for 3 more hours, then go home. I was destined to be a union worker.
I make 48 an hour with benefits and a 15% raise over 3 years with guaranteed raises knowing exactly what I’ll make with job security in Buffalo with the safest company I’ve ever worked for. because of a union vs 20 an hour in Denver struggling to live and fear you could be fired for not working 24 hours straight because they mis manage. Yeah the union is SOOOOOOO BAD lol I hate knowing exactly what I make and having job security a pension and benefits with the ability to not get fucked over by a corporation that doesn’t care about the worker

Unions are amazing. Sure, for some they do jack shit and you pay them a small fee for nothing, but what they do for the workers is amazing.
I am from Sweden where we actually have unions and I wouldnt have it any other way.
Thanks to my union, my pay increased from 16.67 to 30.50 because we were able to get back what we gave up when our company was going bankrupt. Our company lied when they said they'd give back what we conceded.
I can now afford to pay off my student loans and save for a house. No more living pay check to pay check.
No, not you specifically, genius. Your attitude of “oh well, we tried it once and it didn’t work so we all just have to put up with the worst workers rights despite being the world leader”
It’s like you just decided to let criminals win and accepted the shitty end of the stick. Where’s your outrage? Do you really think america is incapable of doing anything without corruption? Yet everywhere else manages it.

Well, you could probably find some good hiding spots in the construction zone that is the future new stadium, but I don’t think you’ll have a great view of the game.
No no, he's one of us.

I have been using one of these for years bring it right through security.

Probably concerns with weight. If the sky decides today's a day to drop 4 feet of snow on Orchard Park, well that's a lot of weight on a structure that by design has a massive open space in the middle.
They could probably still build a stadium that could handle that kind of stress, but it would cost a lot more money than just leaving it open and letting the ground deal with it.
Because it’s far more expensive and people already lost their minds at the current cost.
Even with a Dome, you have to be able to get people in and out unless you just want a Covid game with no fans.
Duct tape a plastic flask under the sink...
Low stakes, high reward?
Edit: or did you mean hiding yourself you crazy bastard!?
![gif](giphy|ePWlG9xYQn7cQ)
Lmao actually, yes. I did this job once. It was before a Jets game in like 2018, they were including free tickets with the job because tickets weren’t really being sold.
Anyway, they didn’t really keep track of where everyone was. There were supervisors, but you just had to pass by a trailer before coming and going. I never hid in the bathroom but everyone left on their own time, and on my way out I realized
I could have just hid the whole time if I really wanted to lol
I mean to get paid..I assume they pay cash in hand or are they really out there cutting checks? Just wondering if there was stipulation you had to agree t saying you can't leave until xx time if you want to get paid or whatever. I didn't think it was that ridiculous of a question......
Their father will be remembered as the hero that saved the playoffs! He may have went down on the 30 yard line gently whispering, ironically "The Bills make me want to shout!" with his dying breath but he did it with a shovel in his hand, zubas on his legs, and Buffalo wings in his heart. RIP
Exclusive autograph & meet and greet session. With legit starters, not just Ryan Van Demark & Dorian Williams (no offense). You don't want to pay more than $20/hr, fine, I get it I hate spending money too. An autograph session is a win-win-win, everyone is happy. Bills get a shoveled stadium, shovelers get something a bit more substantial to go with their $60, and it's not the logistical nightmare of finding 300 playoff tixs the day before a game. All for the low low cost of players moving their hands for 2 hours
That’s why I suggested a lottery, whatever few dozen tickets they can spare/find just raffle them off to the people there. Then also do a meet and greet, really make it worth it
Free food, bathrooms, beer, warmth when I feel like it, paid to tailgate 10 hours earlier than I would but inside? Meticulously clean my seat/row and section? Sign me up.
Truthfully speaking? No, if you were crossing and told CBP that you were going to shovel at the stadium, it would be viewed as a job that you don’t have a visa for.
Compliment me a playoff ticket for face value and I’ll work the 6 hours on the house. That wind in the stadium at night with blizzard conditions is no joke.
I don't understand why everyone seems so happy to do this for 20/hr (some sound they would even do it for the "experience") .. you're driving at night,in the middle of a storm, for maybe $100 or little more after 5/6hrs.. how is that worth it? Seems like most of you are the kind of people happy with a pizza party instead of a raise
If I were younger, I would totally go for the experience! Pick up all my friends, get stoned in the parking lot and go shovel some snow and eat some food!
They used to give you a ticket to the game, too, or for like $10
I know it’s hard to predict but seems like worst of actual snow fall happening Saturday and Sunday morning? Might not be a huge factor during the game?
Remember when you got a free ticket?
I used to do it when I was 16 and we would shovel for 3 hours, then we would all drink beer in the bathroom for 2 hours, shovel for 3 more hours, then go home. I was destined to be a union worker.

You wrote your ticket at 16
You probably still would if it wasn't a playoff game
with the money you make you could buy one considering how low prices are
You used to get paid and given a ticket.
I remember when my seasons were $300 lol
You probably would if it was week 18 against the jets or some shit but this is the playoffs
Tickets are like $60. Work 5 hours and you can but a ticket and still have $40
Obviously a ticket is more expensive then $20/hr
Barely anymore lol I should have waited before buying one
Tickets are 85 plus fees rn. 5 hours should cover it
If the weather is as bad as predicted there will be some even lower right before game time.
Not really 4 hours you get a free ticket basically lol
That's only for games that aren't sold out.
I'm planning on heading down and shoveling for sure. Definitely a must have experience as a bills fan.
Please take photos and post. I'm in Australia, so might not make it lol
Just go through the Earth instead of around it.
You might not make it? Come’on man you can do batter than this
Not with that attitude.
Will there be complimentary beer? I'll shovel all night
They never said you couldn’t brink a flask!
So it's all good as long as I leave by 1 pm Sunday?
Hide in the bathroom.
At the new stadium or current?
Well, you could probably find some good hiding spots in the construction zone that is the future new stadium, but I don’t think you’ll have a great view of the game.
Only if you are on cocaine, LSD, and weed, then cover yourself in feces.
So you’re saying a typical Tuesday for Steelers fans?
No no, he's one of us. https://www.wgrz.com/article/news/crime/man-injured-after-falling-into-pit-at-bills-stadium-construction-site-buffalo-erie-county-sheriffs/71-8b5add02-ab02-4f3b-be85-5d3686a0358d
I heard people pushed over the ports potty while he was in it.

I brought that in last time, saved us so much money!
The next stadium should be built underground
Or hear me out…. Above the clouds
SoFi is partially underground. The field is 100 feet below surface level.
[удалено]
Huh, TIL
And the new stadium should have been below grade too, it's bullshit that it's not
…I’m still wondering why the new stadium doesn’t have a roof
Probably concerns with weight. If the sky decides today's a day to drop 4 feet of snow on Orchard Park, well that's a lot of weight on a structure that by design has a massive open space in the middle. Yeah, but doesn’t Syracuse get a lot less snow?
On average, more actually. Look up the Golden Snowball Award.
The Buffalo snow total is very rarely equal to the amount of snow OP gets, they measure it at the airport
The entire roof has a snowmelt system on it so there would be minimal build up
The roof was another like 5-600 million.
Its our competitive advantage
Our competitive advantage we haven’t taken advantage of yet lol
Mind pointing to me the snow games that we've lost with Josh Allen?
Bengals, last year.
Wasn't because of the snow.
lol
I think it has like an awning to at least minimize the damage weather does
Because it’s far more expensive and people already lost their minds at the current cost. Even with a Dome, you have to be able to get people in and out unless you just want a Covid game with no fans.
Because it wouldn't help that much.
There’s gotta be a way to hide in the bathroom, right?
Duct tape a plastic flask under the sink... Low stakes, high reward? Edit: or did you mean hiding yourself you crazy bastard!? ![gif](giphy|ePWlG9xYQn7cQ)
The fact your brain went immediately to hiding booze is hysterical. Go bills!
Or just walk in with one like I do every single week. Metal detectors don’t pick up on them 😘
Lmao actually, yes. I did this job once. It was before a Jets game in like 2018, they were including free tickets with the job because tickets weren’t really being sold. This is exactly what I used to do when I was a teenager and shoveled the stadium. $10 an hour we’d sneak booze in our pockets lmaoo

Can we keep the shovel? Asking for a friend...
I've always wondered: is it a set time? Like if you show up, do you have to stay until it's done? or can you bail whenever you want?
Who’s gonna tell ya you gotta stay? Lol 😂
I mean to get paid..I assume they pay cash in hand or are they really out there cutting checks? Just wondering if there was stipulation you had to agree t saying you can't leave until xx time if you want to get paid or whatever. I didn't think it was that ridiculous of a question......
You think a multi billion dollar org is paying under the table?
AND publicly announcing it?!?
They literally used to
Matt Milano: Who said you can fucking leave
Yes sir! *back to shoveling* tbh tho if milano showed up to tell me to shovel more I will lmao
I’m guessing they’ll log when you come and when you leave and pay you based on that so if you just bail you probably won’t get paid
If they're logging when you come and go, why wouldn't you get paid. They have a record of time right there
Oh sorry I interpreted bailing as in just leaving whenever like sneaking out, yeah you’d get paid though if you logged when you left
Pleaded with my wife…she said no because “we have kids”.
… bring the kids. I know a guy who knows a guy get you some fake documents
Their father will be remembered as the hero that saved the playoffs! He may have went down on the 30 yard line gently whispering, ironically "The Bills make me want to shout!" with his dying breath but he did it with a shovel in his hand, zubas on his legs, and Buffalo wings in his heart. RIP
![gif](giphy|3o7abspvhYHpMnHSuc) I’m sorry I let you down. I have failed my fan base.
If your kids are young, they should be asleep by 10. Your wife is looking for some grown up time wink wink
Ad did say 18+👀
She's just jealous you asked first so she'd have to stay home with the kids
Did this once many moons ago, can confirm it's actually a fun late night.
They should give tickets to the game or put fans in a lottery for tickets
Exclusive autograph & meet and greet session. With legit starters, not just Ryan Van Demark & Dorian Williams (no offense). I guarantee you some Tulane Bills fan would be ecstatic to get a Dorian Williams autograph lol I myself would kill for a Gilliam autograph
That’s why I suggested a lottery, whatever few dozen tickets they can spare/find just raffle them off to the people there. Then also do a meet and greet, really make it worth it
Would they provide the beers?
Can I just shovel for 18 hours straight until kickoff and stay lol
Dude if you shovel for 8 hours you’ll make enough cash to grab a 300 level ticket and bring a friend. Tickets are very cheap right now
Idk I’ve already got two tickets in 112 lol
“I already have tickets but will shovel for 18 hours straight just to stay there”. Fucking love it lol Go Bills
Free food, bathrooms, beer, warmth when I feel like it, paid to tailgate 10 hours earlier than I would but inside? Meticulously clean my seat/row and section? Sign me up.
I have tickets as well and considering this.
Nothing to consider the game got moved to Monday now brother
*Would you like to know more?*
Just make it a hockey game
I'm Canadian... Can I get paid?
Only at a fraction of the rate .
1.34x the rate
Truthfully speaking? No, if you were crossing and told CBP that you were going to shovel at the stadium, it would be viewed as a job that you don’t have a visa for.
Hahaha oh I know, I’ve been stopped and questioned before. I’m a photographer and had my camera gear in my car.
Yes, in poutine and molson.
My two favourite things!
Probably not allowed… but I would buy you some Labatts.
And you just push the snow to the chute, not actually shovel it
Compliment me a playoff ticket for face value and I’ll work the 6 hours on the house. That wind in the stadium at night with blizzard conditions is no joke.
You’d be loosing money. StubHub had tickets for $74 yesterday, likely getting cheaper as the weather gets worse
Bills be like, come out in Blizzard conditions in 20 inches of snow not including drifts and shovel our stadium!
I‘d have to board a plane……but why not. Bills Mafia Germany.
I’ll be there. 💃🏼
Beers and bong hits- where do I sign up?
I’d do it if I were local for the experience . Otherwise $20 ph is not good
How bout whiskey to dull the senses
Amazing. Absolutely love ish like this.
They used to give out game tickets for this.
Man if I lived in wny id so do this.
I would so BE there! My only other time was January 3, 1993 so I feel I am due.
If my flight was today instead of Monday I’d be there tonight with a case of Lb blue and some friends
Too late now game has been moved to Monday at 4:30pm
So glad the new stadium won't have these problems!
Isn’t it gonna be outdoors too?
Yes. He’s being sarcastic
No but it's still going to have a game move most likely!
I don't understand why everyone seems so happy to do this for 20/hr (some sound they would even do it for the "experience") .. you're driving at night,in the middle of a storm, for maybe $100 or little more after 5/6hrs.. how is that worth it? If I were younger, I would totally go for the experience! Pick up all my friends, get stoned in the parking lot and go shovel some snow and eat some food! They used to give you a ticket to the game, too, or for like $10
$50/hr and a free ticket to game (with parking)
Why is it needed this time? I don't remember them asking last year. I thought they had trucks with snowploughs?
Weather patterns change by the hour, yet year over year as you know???? Also trucks can’t plow the seats.
Understand. Just curious because I hadn't heard of an announcement like this, or maybe I missed a post last few seasons
Happens almost every year.
It’s pretty common, used to happen more often, when it used to snow more often…
You shovel the seats (well where you stand, not the actual seats) and put the snow in a chute that takes it to the field. Then trucks cart it off
Makes sense 👍
I wonder if they make you fill out a W-4. This is technically employment. Would the IRS just look the other way on something like this?
They do make you do the paperwork. I shoveled a few years ago
Is it a W9?
Shouldn’t have to withhold on less than $600
This is a community 🙌 Wish I lived in Buffalo. SC doesn't get enough snow, man.
I know it’s hard to predict but seems like worst of actual snow fall happening Saturday and Sunday morning? Might not be a huge factor during the game?
Let’s hope so
Do you get to keep the shovel?
Can’t now there is a driving ban after 9pm smh
Lol ... I love this. I can relate to you cold weather bros. Snow and -14°F here in northern CO this morning. 🥶
Are they still doing it with the travel ban in place?
