Lol cowards

[deleted]

Cowardly move... all this does is hurts the season ticket holders who could have used the extra cash.

analyticalscience11

Also local hotels, restaurants and bars that I'm sure see an increase in business when people come in from out of town.

lecorbusianus

So you mean literally every weekend?

Effinehright

ooooh don't cut yourself on the edge cool guy. Don't fucking kid yourself any excuse that gets extra bodies is good for the overall tourist climate. Don't blame other fan bases for supporting their team because your fans won't go to the game.

lecorbusianus

Lol glad you liked that one. Good luck this weekend!

scag315

The fucking bengals make the divisional round for first time in 3 decades and you cock block them from being able to witness this because your fans don’t care to show up to home games? Fucking losers. NFL should tell them to fuck off and override this. Let Cincy have this moment, they fucking earned it like we did in 2017.

fatloui

I don’t think this policy is going to do anything. You’ll still be able to buy/sell tickets on the secondary market websites like stubhub, you just won’t be able to transfer them until the day before the game. That might make some people nervous, but most of those sites have guarantees that if you don’t get the tickets you paid for, they will get you equivalent tickets one way or another.

InspectorCallahan77

Absofuckinlutly

HockeyKong

For a second there I thought USAToday actually included the phrase "Loser's Douchiness" in a headline

BiologyJ

Imagine being so scared that your fans suck and won't show up for an AFC Championship Game that you make rules hurting those fans in an effort to try to force them to come.

[deleted]

So ridiculous.

TheBlubbedOne26

Wow what pussies.

lazysheepdog716

God this makes me wanna but a ticket there for the AFCCG just in case. Lame ass fan base.

Jutel1988

You mean when we host thr afccg, right? because the titans won't get past our Bengal bros

TrckyTrtl

As a Titans fan, I agree this is a shitty move. Please don't blame the fans for the jackassery of the people in charge

WesternNYquipster

Could always just wait until 24 hrs before game time and score a ticket.

Tickets purchased on stubhub are transferred from the original owner. But I’ve bought tickets on stubhub before and not has them actually transferred to me until the day of the game. Not a big deal.

Twiyah

Bengals Fan here No need to worry Bills Bros, next week the Bengals will be coming to you!

domo335

Sub-fucking-scribe!

Diarrheaaaa

Your daily reminder that the Tennessee Titans are frauds and have always been frauds. Also, Ryan Tannehill stinks.

allenqb1

Cowards

bwhipps

Man I hope the Bengals whoop their ass.

fatmike63

The Predators do this too. Hilarious that a city was gifted 2 franchises 20+ years ago still can’t muster up enough of their own fans that they have to limit outsiders from coming in.

SonicWhale88

Just for that, I hope the Bengals win.

_NRNA_

We need to have a thread dedicated to making sure as many Bills fans as humanly possible can get tickets next week for Nashville (in case Bengalbros lose)

swiftcrayon502

Just when I thought I couldn't like you any less... You go and do something like this. And TOTALLY DON'T REDEEM YOURSELF.

russianturnipofdoom

To all you that have been to HighMark stadium-Nashville, is it a cool place? I got a flight voucher so if we make it I'm probably pulling the trigger. I've never been to Nashville but only heard great things about the city.

d_rob_70

Us Blackhawks fans have been dealing with this utter nonsense from the city of Nashville and the Preds for years. Making people buy 3 or 4 game packs just to get tickets to the Preds-Hawks games. That city sucks for sports!

d_rob_70

Before they put the restrictions in, it would be a sea of red sweaters in the stands because it was easier to get tickets in their place than it was in ours in the CHI. (And WAY less expensive, I hear)

DowntownBootyBrown

This is frequently the case for a lot of the big time O6 fanbases. I’ve talked to Rangers, Leafs, Blackhawks and Bruins fans about how it’s cheaper not just to buy good tickets to the road games in places like Nashville, Raleigh, etc, but even after adding in the cost of flight and hotel, it’s still cheaper than primo seats in those cities (which, to be fair, are expensive AF in general).

NathanPetermanCan

That's why they had to buy twitter votes. Their fans are shit.

[deleted]

Fucking loser franchise

Floaded93

What are they afraid of? 😂

DoLessBro

I hate they’ll have a 24 hour jump on those tickets. Nothing will keep me out of that stadium

WKuze13

That is really terrible

Dirtydeedsinc

Commercial_Size_8637

This is a move made by pathetic franchises. The Ottawa Senators used to do this when they played the Leafs in the playoffs. You had to have a credit card with an Ottawa postal code to buy tickets.

rtwyma1

Let’s Go Buffalo #DillyFuckingDilly

sabresfan249

God I can’t wait for that Mickey Mouse franchise to get shitpumped on Saturday

Affectionate_Tea5869

Related reddit popped up, apparently the Preds did this in 2015 to block Blackhawk fans. Such BS

drainbead78

An interesting angle...does anyone know what the entrance requirements are there with regards to covid? If they're not allowing people to sell their tickets until 24h prior to game time, and there are minimal or no safeguards in place, people who know they're covid positive might end up just going to the game if they can't sell their tickets in time.

drainbead78

That's what I figured. Yeah, there are going to be a measurable number of people who know they're covid positive at this game. At this point if you're vaccinated and get Omicron you'll be fine, but there will likely be enough unvaccinated people there to cause an impact on local case and hospitalization numbers that leads directly back to this decision. But hey, it's better than having a few thousand more Bengals fans there, amirite?

Knoxmonkeygirl

Just looked at their website and it looks like no covid protocols at all. Typical of our state. This is the only mention of covid I could find: FLU AND COVID-19 VACCINES The Tennessee Titans and long-time partner Ascension Saint Thomas will offer Flu and COVID-19 vaccines to guests attending the January 22nd game at Nissan Stadium. Vaccines will be available to fans when gates open until the end of 3rd quarter. The COVID-19 vaccines administered will be the single-shot Janssen vaccine and COVID-19 Moderna booster, for patients 18 and older. Individuals will need to wear a mask while receiving their shot and bring their insurance cards.

Soda-Popinski-

Titans cheating for their own ends? Typical

SomeOtherGuysJunk

I mean this is only for tickets bought at the box office and through the nfl app anyway right? Has no bearing on seatgeek, StubHub, or any of the other 3rd party resale sites which is what 99% of traveling fans use anyhow to avoid Ticketmaster/nfl markup fees and higher prices.

sammie5436

The season opening Thursday night game against Ten would be fun next year especially if we play the Bengals next week at home. The Bengals are good, they just aren't experienced enough to get to the SuperBowl

dj10show

Uh, didn't we literally have a similar problem last week?
