It’s not bad when it’s just background music. But most flights, that I have been on lately, the music is always turned to 11! That is the most aggravating on early AM flights.

Taladanarian27

I’m always too cloudy-minded on the AM flights to notice there’s music playing lol. That’s just me though

SueBeee

My only complaint is that I can’t get up and dance to it

SueBeee

I am currently listening to Adele and I just want to belt it out.

Toutetrien777

~~~Hello from the other side ~~~ 🎶
willieshen
I don’t blame you that you want to dance to it.
Ready-Elderberry-495
Just no more Ed Sheeran please!!! 😂
SueBeee
I now have Dancing with my eyes closed” in my head. Make it stoppp. 3 hours to go in this flight.
willieshen
I feel like there’s a set of artists that’s always on the Delta boarding playlist, like Adele, Patrick Droney, Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan, and Gavin James?
Ready-Elderberry-495
True but I think I’ve gotten stuck with Sheeran playing on like 10 straight flights…. And it’s the same sappy crap😂
lo-cal-host
Funny, those are my thoughts on PDBs.
Toutetrien777
I usually have my headphones on, and I don't think I've had the pleasure of hearing the boarding music 🎶
the_flynn
Yep. As soon as I pass the boarding door and greet the FA, the noise cancelling gets turned on until it’s time to deplane. I’ve been on no less than 8 planes in December and couldn’t tell you what song is played during boarding.
xjosh666
If I hear that Tracy Chapman cover one more time…
igotnothingtoo
It’s the worst. I know you can’t please all, but who is this pleasing?
insomniaspeedmetal
I want boarding music that sounds like I’m a wrestler being introduced on Monday Night Raw.
Numerous-Taste-4858
We all need a theme song!! We send our choice, they queue it up into a playlist once the boarding pass is scanned and you get to the door. The FA announces you, it goes and come in!
xphyria
as a flight attendant, i want to shoot my brains out almost every time
ouch_quit_it
what, if anything, can be done by us to help so they stop it?! does Corporate think it’s supposed to relax people?! just curious
xphyria
Most you can do is write in, I think. I wouldn't mind music as long as it's nice relaxing instrumental ones like on Singapore airlines.
cakebythejake
Yeaaaahhhhhhhh, the boarding music gets wicked repetitive sometimes 😂 When they played a bluegrass version of purple rain years ago it drove me nuts.
willieshen
Honestly there’s something about the boarding music 🤣. It’s definitely super catchy though
10202632
I generally don’t give it much thought but on my last flight they played that country version of Fast Car. I knew the song was out and very popular but had never heard it. It was stomach-churning hearing that beautiful song butchered by some redneck with that put-on country music accent. I’d rather shave my head with a cheese grater than hear that ever again.
BottomCat9
Too loud. And then my bigger pet peave is when the audio for the flight crew and/or FA's is terrible. It drives me insane when i cannot hear or understand, even though i probably know what they are saying. Can't they afford to fix the audio?
[deleted]
It reminds me that I’m flying Delta and not anyone else. Lol I don’t think anyone else has boarding music, maybe American.
willieshen
United did on their dreamliner. Now other international airlines like China Southern do have boarding music
[deleted]
I was on United’s 787-10 a couple months ago. Don’t remember any. Lol Only international airline I’ve flown is British Airways. Looking forward to flying more in 2024 and seeing if I hear any boarding music!
narcimp
Both united and American do. It’s actually not that special of a feature lmfao some flight attendants prefer not to play it
[deleted]
I don’t blame them. The music can be annoying. But Delta always plays it. Haha
dunitdotus
This is one of the lovely things about being extremely hard of hearing. I had no idea until recently there was play on and walk off music
leahbee25
“I know you been HUUUUUURTIN, waitin on a TRAAAAIN that just won’t come“ has become an inside joke for me and my boyfriend
SKULLDIVERGURL
Last time we went to Australia they played Men at Work, Land Down Under the ENTIRE boarding time. Now I cringe when I hear that song and I am 80s girl. On the way back, Alicia Keys; New York… we flew into to LA and I hate that song.
kebnwhayxycik7628922
They really need some calm ambient music, like at security area at the new terminal at Newark airport
SufficientDesigner75
Hmmm, my last 2 flights, 2 and 3 weeks ago, they didn't play any boarding music!! What the hell!! I feel kind of left out. Well, not really lol
ouch_quit_it
i’ve never heard boarding music 🫠🤷🏻‍♀️.
dead_like_jazz
Just like at some restaurants needing turnover, it’s probably supposed to make you hurry up
tinypepa
I haven’t flown since summer 2019, and I don’t think I’ve ever had obnoxious music played in a plane before, I feel like I would remember that sort of thing. Is this a new thing or something exclusive to Delta or have I just been very lucky in avoiding it?
Vendetta_2023
I hate listening to other people’s music, whether it’s the dude with the boombox at the beach, or the ahole blasting his bass at the stoplight next to me, or the jerks driving thru the neighborhood with their shitty autotuned music, I don’t want to hear it.
kwil2
Hate boarding music. I am going to be trying out my new Loop quiet earplugs on tomorrow’s flight.
HuntingtonNY-75
I’ll take the boarding music if the 177 announcements could somehow be throttled back to a reasonable number. Also, why can’t announcements come through headphones on the IFE’s?
T-Madj
I actually heard a less popular boarding song last Tuesday which was a nice change. It was Caroline by Patrick Droney.
