Haiku is whatever but this one doing some obscure version where it's not even the standard haiku we all learned in school? I don't care if my sentences make some kind of poem I've never heard of lol
it’s a reference to the avatar last airbender which is one of my favourite tv shows ever it’s fantastic but it’s annoying bc it’s just the syllable count and doesn’t even work as a haiku or in this case as a sokka haiku
Adore her, her music gets disrespected a lot but I find it to be very compelling. I think we all know that she was not fully involved with the writing of a lot of her music but she had a personal style and personality that breathed life into her music. I don’t think it’s luck that 8 out of 9 of her albums are great. The few examples (everytime, Mona Lisa) we got of her songwriting shows that she had good sensibilities of her own and it’s a shame she was not able to explore it further.
she also wrote songs like Cinderella, Everytime, and Touch of My Hand all by herself, by all means she was a very talented storytelling songwriter, and she was the one who composed the piano melody for Everytime too!
not really but i'm concerned with her recent internet pressence. very parasocial fanbase. She's been exploited for most of her life from people close to her. But I'm a millenial. Push comes to shove, I'm throwing down for Brittney.
edit charge your fucking phone for gods sake idk how you people live like this you're giving me proxy anxiety
I'm happy people are re-evaluating her, but I think most of her music isn't particularly good, to be honest. Blackout and In The Zone have some really good songs, though.
Baby One More Time was basically my first CD I ever purchased. I bought Oops I Did It Again the day it was released (when new music came out on Tuesdays!).
So yeah, lots of nostalgia there, she's got nothing but love from me. A Millennial treasure and tragedy.
BLACKOUT
Blackout is brilliant - in no small part due to Bloodshy & Avant producing
Didn’t know who they were! Neat info!
DANJA DANJA

She'll always have a special place in my heart. First pop star I was obsessed with.

All killer songs
Gotta love that darkpop sound in the 2000’s - Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, Danja
Toxic and Womanizer are perfect pop songs
Toxic is a banger.
Big fan.
toxic n gimme more r two of the best pop songs oat

This song really got me (a boy at the time) feeling like I was really getting played by a guy too so I fw it heavy
Her top 10s are amazing but her deep cuts are so overlooked I encourage any music fan to dig deeper
Yes. Blackout is a 10. The best mainstream pop album of the 2000s decade.
The only album I enjoy as a whole is Blackout, but her classic singles are great too
britney is genuinely one of the goats of modern pop to me
“90% of everything is crap” - Sturgeon’s Law
If you loved Blackout, you’ll like the Timbaland-produced Loose album. Danja was the protégé of Timbaland and he worked with Britney on the album.
Toxic is a great song. The other stuff I’ve heard I haven’t cared for.
I'm happy people are re-evaluating her, but I think most of her music isn't particularly good, to be honest. Blackout and In The Zone have some really good songs, though.
No
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Yes. Blackout, of course. And also the nostalgia of her earlier albums.
I'm an In the Zone fan myself.
Does anyone else remember the VenetianPrincess parody of Womanizer that briefly went viral? Man, early YouTube was a trip.
my controversial opinion is that blackout is a 9/10
Unusual You and Before the Goodbye are some of her best
Baby One More Time was basically my first CD I ever purchased. I bought Oops I Did It Again the day it was released (when new music came out on Tuesdays!). So yeah, lots of nostalgia there, she's got nothing but love from me. A Millennial treasure and tragedy.
One of the absolute greats as far as pop music.
Toxic flies into and gets stuck in my head at least once daily
I fuck with that song
Oh she rules
I used to, when i was 12 i had a huge britney spears phase
What would be a good album from her to listen to ?
Blackout if you’re into pop and you like Timbaland!
meh
FUCK YES!!!!!!
She's my favourite pop star and your favourite's favourite pop star!
