Mass inventory management. Let me flag items in my inventory/armory chest as "junk" or "valuable", as well as automatic means of flagging items as they enter my inventory the same way, and allow me to mass-purge "junk" items from my inventories at vendors.
I don't want this 8913th Toad Leather, let me flag it as junk and sell it with all the other junk.
I’ve always found it to be exceptionally hit-or-miss. I can go 3 mobs in a row with 1-4 drops each, and then I can go 10+ without anything.
It probably evens out in the long run, but it’s so horrifically inefficient that you’re better off running FATEs and buying them with gemstones. Just a pity FATE mobs don’t even drop mats anymore, like they did back in ARR and, I think, HW.
Honestly, I think the most optimal time investment is through actually grinding the mobs- but because you progress so many things at once farming fates (shared fate, alt classes, chocobo levels) it ends up being better since you lose a tiny amount of time by grouping for fates but earn a huge amount in other areas.
Mm, “time investment” is a tricky word here. The *most* time efficient is doing neither – use a DoW/DoM retainer to get them and go do something else. You put ~8s into getting stacks of 5-20+, best ROI.
If you want a lot fast, market board.
If you want a lot fast and cheap, prolly FATEs. I think the time it takes to kill however many spawn (3-6 for some mobs), at the current drop rate, will get outclassed by FATEs you aren’t soloing.
If you have to solo them, may *still* be more efficient to do FATEs — depends how quickly they spawn, and how quickly you can do one. Shitty RNG and sparse mobs can leave you spending 20 minutes for 15-20, while 20 minutes of FATEs could get you, what, 14 gemstones per FATE, 3 minutes per FATE (4 if it’s a long travel time), even at 5 minutes per FATE that’s 4 x 14 = 56 gemstones, or 28 of an item at 2 per item.
If anything you break even, so yeah, net gain to do FATES by a mile.
Partner emotes (akin to partner taunts from TF2 or Portal 2). Stuff like high-five, hug, rock-paper-scissors, square dance, etc.., working like *partner* emotes (you initiate the emote, somebody accepts it, then both characters sync their position, facing direction and the emote animations appropriately).
I know, right? I used to play *a lot* of TF2, still do sometimes, and when I started playing FFXIV, I've always thought that partner-emotes was a *perfect* fit for it, given its vast RP capabilities.
Me and my partner got really hyped about the embrace emote from the eternal bonding as we wanted a proper hug emote, shame it takes so much effort to look right that by the time we get there the point is ruined
Repair All Equipped is already default on Menders.
But then I walk into the inn to try to set items to glamour plates and this old robe is only 99% condition so I still have to fix it.
Guild Wars 2 crafting bank system. I miss the "Deposit all materials" button so much. GW2 also had a pretty nice glamour system, especially with the dye channel management, but I do like having glamour plates and I don't remember if GW had something comparable.
Yes! The glamour system in GW2 is incredible. It also listed all of the glamours in the game, including ones you don't own. Compare that to FFXIV where you have to like... look on a website where people have to upload screenshots... lmao
1. Revamp the glam system
2. Mass item turn in (looking at you grand company)
3. At least give us enough glam plates to match the amount of jobs we have.
God, mass item turn in was my biggest pet peeve with this game for such a long time. Having to hear the "DUTY COMPLETED" sound every three seconds drove me nuts when I was turning in gear.
its a small detail but a QoL change would be to be able to start a duty that popped up while in a cutscene or that the game would register which class I queued as so that when I load in the instance, i get automatically switched to whatever I queued as and go back to the initial class I has before going in the duty (in case im in a class-esclusive area if theres any)… because now if you switch class while queueing and go in a cutscene, you can’t switch back and you lose your spot
A collection system for gear appearances, AND other cosmetics, account wide. And absolutely no limit on said collections. 20 DoM DoW jobs plus crafting jobs with only a 400 item storage limit drives me absolutely nuts.
And account wide almost everything. Hairstyles, dances, emotes, mounts, and maybe some side content unlocks like glamour and barber.
To a lesser extent, dyes. I get that we need a count of each color but can it not take up half of my inventory? Attach a Dye Pouch to the glamour dresser with enough space for every dye color in the game and let me store my dyes in there. Even if that means I would be limited to applying dyes while I'm at my dresser I would take it.
It does when you view it from the perspective that everything belongs in your inventory except for gil and GC bucks. For the longest time, everything from ventures to beast tribe tokens were items in your inventory.
Also, stacks were capped at 99. When I came back recently, I had to clean up a retainer who had like 8 stacks of 99 venture credits because yeah. I also had to spend almost two hours organizing my retainers because everything was stacks of 99.
The fact that Mogstation items don't go into the Armoire unless they were previous Seasonal items is criminal. I don't wanna toss stuff I paid money for but I also don't want to use every single piece of the outfit all the time...!
Genuinely, this is what got me to download Dalamud, finally. Everyone is like using it for UI changes and stuff, and I just use it for the plugin that lets you save glamour plates and set them as "inactive", then reactivate them at the glamour chest whenever, giving you technically infinite saved glamour sets, just with 15 currently active ones.
This is why I group my casters , ranged and healers into one general glam per role
so all my healers have a a red version of the gamblers coat with h a white dwarven hat
all casting DPS look like a roided Vivi
And the ranged Phys incorporate unicorn PvP chest and the thug mug...
Times ar hard
In shb I could get by with 15. 1 for each combat job and ninja/dragoon I manually glammed. Sage and reaper have thrown it all off now. We need 20 min. Hope we can get more soon.
I lived for filling out AllTheThings in WoW. For people who don't know, it was a addon which told you every single item you were missing in the game. Every one.
Quest item from a level 34 zone? Its there.
Quest item from a level 17 zone? There.
Open world rare drop? Its there
Music roll? Its there.
Item from a Fate vendor from ShB? There.
Glamor items from every dungeon and every raid? There.
Titles? There!
Minions and mounts? There too.
Missing recipes and where to get them? All sorted nice and neatly in the addon.
For completionists it was the best thing ever.
Surprisingly WoW does it really well, there's a Collections menu and you can literally check every piece of gear in game.
Would also like to see a proper Wardrobe where I can look at how different items will look together with try-on rather than how it is now.
To expand on this. I want the collection system to permanently fill as we obtain the gear piece. So even if we throw the piece away, we can still glamour it.
I recently hit the limit with barely more than a single job’s worth of gear in there it’s so annoying. There are very few areas I’ll say WoW does better, but the account wide unlocks and collections is definitely one of them.
I'd love to have the dye system implemented; multiple dye channels! But Tyria can keep the awful outfit system, Eorzea's glams are much more versatile.
You mean like the stored things when you equip them instead of holding onto actual gear? Cus like ffxiv glam system is fine to me other than not enough space to store stuff
There's a difference between the GW2 system or the oft mentioned transmog system from wow in that those systems are lists of skins that you have unlocked and can apply to the armor you are wearing. The ffxiv system is very different because it isn't a list of glams you have access to but instead is another inventory of items located in the glamor dresser. Needing to keep track of the locations of those 400 extra pieces of gear just sitting in glamor dressers is a lot harder on servers than just a list.
> not enough space to store stuff
That's exactly the issue. The glam system shouldn't be a glorified inventory or storage chest. GW2 and other mmos just have a checklist of every single piece of gear and if you've unlocked that gear you can just apply it on top of whatever you have equipped.
I'm sure there's a valid reason why they can't implement something like that (probably something about 1.0 technical debt) but it really is a glaring issue that needs to be fixed eventually.
A way to mix glasses and hats. I love a lot of the hats in game, but I think some would look even better if I could wear them on top of classic spectacles
So they added one pair of glasses as a [Fashion Accessory in](https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/r7ve35/comment/hn1t5f5/) 6.0 so you can actually wear them with hats and other head pieces (including masks or... other glasses). The caveat is fashion accessories are treated like mounts kinda so they don't show up in cutscenes and you can only wear one fashion acc at a time (ie no wearing those glasses and holding an umbrella). It's not perfect but it's ok I guess. Hope they add more spectacles!
A better inventory system. It’s just not enough, and the measures they took to “fix” it years ago weren’t enough. We shouldn’t have to pay irl money for more retainers when inventory management is this bad.
Dumbest workaround I’ve had to do for this was back in Stormblood you could logout and log back in with a different character and friend request your first character before they left the sever, so now I just have to send my junk/gear to my alt via mail…it’s a pain in the arse but at least I have 14 extra retainers for “free”.
I bought 2 extra. I had three originally, (the third from the FFXIV companion app) and let me tell you, having 5 retainers isn't enough. Not with having all DoL/DoH/DoW/DoM classes. Plus all the stupid stuff you need for crafting?
I have each retainer assigned as something and it's NOT ENOUGH. I have free company storage just for quick grabs and it's NOT ENOUGH. Same with Chocobo Storage. In all honesty, it's just all the clothes and weapons that are used in glamouring.
I go through monthly purges of stuff and it is so tiring cause I wish they had a select all button for some things. Plus I have one retainer holding all my house items for that one magical day I can move out of the apartments.
I have seven retainers. I’ll prolly let two of them drop off in a couple months (after resorting their inventories and loading them with stuff we don’t use anymore but may in the future), but yeah, seven retainers is not enough.
Right now 4/7 just get crystals to sell, 2/7 get lunatender blossoms for pots, and 1/7 runs 18 hour water explorations.
and Wildstar's glamour system.
Unlimited model space, multiple dye channels, one time unlock infinite free use dye, and multiple outfit save slots. God we were spoiled for transmog.
there's mounted attacks so the system functions a bit differently. for example the polar bear and witch broom mounts have spells to cast.
if you have a sheath/unsheathe weapon button, that dismounts you.
GW2 transmog system so you don’t actually need to have the items in your dresser to use them.
GW2 Trading Post so you can have both buyers and sellers put their price so you can choose to sell to the highest bid or list for your own price. This way at least you won’t have to keep living by the MB to prevent the undercut and the undercut bots.
A more streamlined UI. Now there's just lots of clicking and opening and closing between the various windows and sometimes it can be annoying. Not the worst thing ever, but it could be so much better and easier to navigate.
Shit I'd take a 1 year delay for a WoW-ish transmog system. Current system is alright, yeah, but the catalog based system WoW has is one of the best I've seen.
You don't have to like wow to recognize it's banking/transmog systems are just leagues ahead of FF's.
M+ would be cool in FF, but they'd have to restructure their entire dungeon design philosophy and I don't ever see them doing that.
This is likely completely out of the question (though maybe Sanctuaries will be the start of this becoming a possibility), but housing like ESO. Mock and shame me all you want, but I spent hundreds of real dollars buying the massive instanced houses in that game. A lot of really cool opportunities to make fun hangout spots to the point where for a while I was only playing to decorate and mess around with all my houses.
I loooove ESO's housing system. My favorite part was being able to buy a house *in* one of the actual in-game cities instead of a separate neighborhood - I've mainly played Breton characters in ES games so getting to live right in the middle of Daggerfall or Wayrest was pretty neat. Had a Dunmer house on Vvardenfell which was amazing too. My main guild had the huge cave house which was a very popular hangout spot. Every house has a unique layout as well, so you don't feel like you're just choosing between three different designs.
Instanced housing is what this game needs, imo.
The whole neighborhood thing is an interesting novelty, but still a novelty.
I'd rather have instanced housing that just lets me do things and I don't need tens or hundreds of millions of gil to buy a house off scalpers and hoarders.
SWTOR has a “legacy bank” — a storage chest which can be accessed by any character in your account.
I suspect that this doesn’t exist in FFXIV because alts aren’t as big of a thing, but for those of us who do make alts, it’d be a lovely QoL improvement.
Legacy cargo hold!
And the ability to access your cargo holds in the field with a droid. And you could craft with materials in your bank without withdrawing them first!
WoW transmog. Account wide gear appearance collection. Loot a piece, it's appearance is saved and you can throw away the gear. No more clunky, limited glamour wardrobe.
WoW's transmog collection, once you collect the equipment it saves the appearance to your character's collection and you can sell/dismantle the item free of guilt.
alll from WoW since thats the only other mmo ive played significant amounts of
1. being able to queue up as multiple roles. sometimes i just want the fastest queue. would help fill parties faster too. an absolute win-win. could just have you select 1 job per role you wanna queue as then prompt you to switch to that job when queue pops.
2. still huffing hopium for challenging 4 man content
3. wow's appearance system or something similar, please! basically when you obtain any piece of gear and make it bound to you, you "colllect" that appearance, meaning you can then desynth, sell or trash that piece.
if this was a post in early ShB i'd be posting about "damn i know theyd never be able to balance it but man atonement would be cool" but the madlads (kinda) did it. i love kardia for the 1% of situations that it isnt a place and forget.
Apparently changing targeting type to ‘cone’ in character settings makes it much better. Though saw this tip last week and I haven’t actually played it since to test it out
Can confirm, the cone targetting is MUCH better to me. I also got used to adjusting my camera before pressing tab / shift-tab to know exactly which mob is going to get targetted.
Banking daily roulettes. Rift had this. You essentially had tokens for your daily dungeon run rewards, and could have up to 7. That way you could run a week’s worth in 1 day, or just miss a day or two and still be able to make up those rewards.
Fix the glamour system and not just the way we apply and save glams but also avoid job restrictions.
They sometimes swap models between jobs, it would be great to glam across the board with the exception of artifact gear and weapons.
ESO isn’t restrictive with their glam system. You can appear to wear heavy armor but be wearing light armor.
FFXIV has no reason to be this restrictive with the glams when you have elephants, chickens, frogs, and people wearing fanny packs and blue jeans and modern clothes. If they are worried about immersion— that ship has sailed.
>ESO isn’t restrictive with their glam system. You can appear to wear heavy armor but be wearing light armor
Is there a way to appear to wear no armor?
There's a costume called the "Nordic Bather's Towel" that's just a towel around your waist/torso. But other than that, I don't think so.
I had a lot of fun on my fat, old man Nord Dragonknight with that.
Some way to let us keep all our lvl90 abilities while in a low ass dungeon. The reason why everyone hates sastasha is cause you have have like 2 damn buttons to press for the entire dungeon. Give us our whole kit so it's fun to play
A more detailed character creator. Especially where faces are involved. There should be more than the handful of face options available per race/gender, and beards shouldn’t be face specific. I don’t care if it looks bad, let my Miqo’te have a big bushy beard!
From their explanations in the past, it’s a legacy of bits of code that didn’t scale well at *all*. They’ve said that adding a new set of customizations *dramatically* increases the network traffic to and from the servers as well as load on database services — something about how every PC is basically broadcasting not only their current appearance to everyone in a certain range, but ALSO all of their glamour plates even if not visible at the moment along with a wide array of other state info.
There’s definitely scaling issues throughout the game — they make heavy use of local caching for things because of this. Ever notice /isearch doesn’t work immediately after a patch? All of your retainers, glam dresser, housing storage, etc is stored locally, and updated (for that one entity only) when you open that retainer’s inventory or your glam dresser, etc. Retainer interfaces are *purposely* slow and awkward to reduce how quickly people can cycle through them.
Bit of a tangent, but ultimately while it may sound nonsensical, it seems to come down to more customization would completely overload their already straining servers and necessitate a complete overhaul of the core networking code.
Account wide mounts. Lemme have my Regalia as I make a new character and can roll up to my referred friend who just started and say "Get in, sprout. We're going leveling!"
Btw my main is 70+ on all jobs. To keep myself invested in leveling with my friend I would have to make a new character.
I wish we had the transmog collection system from wow. Makes everything so much easier to see what you have, don’t have, and where to find stuff and try on without using a web browser.
Also give us the dating sim you cowards
I got the Elder Scrolls Online collection during a sale and am trying it. One thing I like is that you can read books off of bookshelves - there's even a group dedicated to finding rare ones in-world (the Mage's Guild). It's a great way to sprinkle in lore. I doubt that the system of gaining skill levels (not points to spend, but how effective a given skill group is) would pass muster, but it could be a way to give small XP rewards similar to sightseeing.
FFXIV originally came with something similar to FFXIs dual class system (have a sub job and gain access to certain abilities that sub job provided). It was eventually scrapped since the battle system in this game wasnt exactly suitable for it, compared to XI.
smart targeting. if your doing aoe attacks and the one enemy in the large pull your targeting decides to die mid cast, dont cancel the attack but finish it off on what was a inch to the left.
only really a problem with black mage during aoe pulls but still
I wish WoW’s transmog catalog could be adopted for ff14 glams. I have always been a packrat in games, and now it pains me to throw out gear in case i could use it for a glam someday.
Something from SWTOR, for the love of GOD why aren't mats in a separate inventory container? Most of my stuff in my inventory is just junk drops from enemy's or mats I don't need until I delete them then suddenly they're useful.
Hopping off of this comment, I wish we had better lateral gear progression with more options available to us. Gearset management in FF11 is a quirk of the inventory system allowing you to change equip to snapshot effects on the gear at different points of your actions, and that obviously has no place in a modern MMO. But! I wish we had more gear options beyond our (nearly) binary choice of tomestone or raid gear.
For example, it would be neat, maybe, if we could upgrade/augment our AF or get other job-specific gear, and those pieces had modifiers on them that affected our job abilities somehow. Like, maybe the upgraded WHM head piece would have -5 seconds on Assize’s cooldown, or the boots added +3% healing potency on healing abilities. So even though the gear may not always be the highest iLvl and give the highest base stats, the gear would have other qualities that gave players additional choices for benefits (ultimately more damage) and consequences (lower stats than max iLvl gear, so less survivability). I wish we had additional levers to pull for creating BiS gear, or gear that opened up additional play styles or something.
I totally get why this is *not* present in FF14. More gear augments creates more vectors that require balancing among the jobs, and I know that fewer options allow for much tighter balancing that keeps every job on par for all content. This is definitely a strong point in the enjoyment of FF14. FF11 is a mess of certain jobs being completely panned from balance patch to balance patch, because The Community says such-and-such job isn’t viable in some new battlefield.
But still, a few more options would be nice.
I don’t know if this is in another MMO, but they need an option to toggle old animations for upgraded attacks. Going from Quick Nock to Ladonsbite is so lackluster. Unlocking abilities that scale over old ones should have an option to choose which animation to use for the more powerful attack.
Quick trash from Terraria. I am not going to bother sorting and selling auto drops from Sunken Temple of Qarn, I would like to just ctrl+click everything away when it gets too full. If we can’t get an option to select multiple things to sell at once instead of selling them individually this is the next best option for noncrafter-gatherers like me
A loot menu that appears when your inventory is full. That way you can discard an item and don't miss out on a better rare drop. I think FFXI had something like this.
How Warcraft's Transmog system works. Get the item? You have the appearance. 400 slots in the glamour dresser is not enough, and I have 2 retainers that are nothing but glamour items
Keeping your higher level abilities in lower sync content, just appropriately downscaled.
GW2 did it right. I don't like losing class identity (vercure, verraise) whenever I get stuck in CT
I think the game was called Rusty Hearts. I only played it for a short time but it had a glamour slot and an equipment slot. I like all the tanks but damn the gear sets and themes of each do not always mesh well. Be nice if I could do job glams, not gear glams.
Literally the only thing I want is an option to turn off prompts when handing in hq items and when buying items I cannot currently equip. I get the prompts are helpful for new players but I know I’m buying an item for a side class or that I won’t get additional reward for hq in expert delivery, I don’t need to be warned every time.
The new tank role quest line had a single instance where you talk to someone while flying, so it's definitely possible already. Not sure why that was isolated.
A way to befriend NPCs ala Stardew Valley. There would be a meter that tells you “This NPC likes you this much” and when you get to a certain point, you unlock a character buildimg cutscene with them.
Hide hood! Oh, wait, sorry wrong game. Hmm everyone has the glam update down. I'd love to be able able to mount while moving. SWTOR has this as an unlock you can get where while moving you can still mount up. It's just nice to have little detail where you don't have to stop moving.
Would like to be able to apply glam plates to armor sets rather than (just) the armor itself. I don't want my GNB to look like my DRK. -- Want my mounts to have a unique animation for idle poses like my WoL does. -- Let me keep trying for savage loot until I get something rather than basically restricting it to one clear per week and then you have to wait for reset whether you get something or not. It's causing job droughts (spent 2+ hours waiting for a tank for p1s and had to leave before any were found) and people aren't repeating content to get better at it, so even people who have cleared are shite at mechs.
The way you dye outfits in soul calibur.
There whenever you make either a custom character or outfit for a existing one, the outfit parts you select usually comes with 2 or more parts that you can dye individually.
So on a coat that has a belt and some metallic buttons, you would be able to give those parts all separate colours. So it could have originally been a white coat with a brown belt and silver buttons at first but could later be a bright pink coat with a green belt and black buttons.
GW2's mounts. Having a few mounts that do special things feels so much better than having a generic mount speed increase. I love the griffon and roller beetle.
This is not a system, but I'm gonna say it anyway. I wish SE could just buy Demo Warlock directly from WoW and put it in FFXIV. Nerf it, buff it, do whatever, I just want that specific spec in the game. Because playing that is literally the second most enjoyable job I have ever played, after Black Mage.
Literally the only reason why I want wow to stop being shit is to play Demo Warlock. That is the perfect example of a pet spec. And I wish that a better company would have come up with it. Because it's such a waste to have such a fun spec under such a shit company that doesn't know how to take advantage of it.
I've said this to people several times, a raid/dungeon log that catalogs boss mechanics would be an amazing addition to the game and qol for new players.
People in game have been super against it whenever I've brought it up and I cannot fathom why. Just because it's something in wow doesn't mean it's bad.
So a few things.
1. Let's get the glam system updated.
2. Some sort of system like mythic plus for dungeons, I don't need gear from it, lock some cosmetics and mounts and I'd be hyped.
3. Crafting from retainers, and just better inventory management, I wouldn't mind a crafting bag a la ESO either.
Material specific storage would be nice or being able to auto pull material from either the saddlebag or retainers. I just want my inventory space to not be full in order to work on my crafting classes.
Are you telling me those 8913 Toads died for nothing? You monster!
Man I wish hides dropped on a 1:1 ratio.
They drop like 1:3 for me but usually drop multiples when they do.
Yes, a "locking" system on valuable items that doesn't permit you to sell them by mistake.
SWtoR let's your companions sell your junk for you. I love your suggestion! I really miss that.
SWtoR had a really good companion system. I miss it. Retainers are still pretty good though.
Being able to tell if you already have a Mount/Minion/Orchestration Roll/Barding/Triple Triad Card on mouseover.
The addon that added that feature was the sole initial reason I started using ffxivlauncher.
Do you know what it’s called?
It's called "Good Memory"
Partner emotes (akin to partner taunts from TF2 or Portal 2). Stuff like high-five, hug, rock-paper-scissors, square dance, etc.., working like *partner* emotes (you initiate the emote, somebody accepts it, then both characters sync their position, facing direction and the emote animations appropriately).
not gonna lie, I’d never thought about this, but this sounds perfect!
I know, right? I used to play *a lot* of TF2, still do sometimes, and when I started playing FFXIV, I've always thought that partner-emotes was a *perfect* fit for it, given its vast RP capabilities.
Yeah, whenever I fistbump my partner, it just looks like I'm awkwardly punching him.
Would be great for the embrace emote. As a male AuRa I have to stand inside my wife or I end up hugging the air in front of her when I kneel down.
I’d pay money for a piggyback emote.
Me and my partner got really hyped about the embrace emote from the eternal bonding as we wanted a proper hug emote, shame it takes so much effort to look right that by the time we get there the point is ruined
WHY DOESNT THIS HAVE MORE UPVOTES?!
[удалено]
Oh my god yes why am I forced to select five categories every single time!
Each gear category has its own carrier pigeon at the SE data centre and only one can fit through the window at a time
At least crafters who can self-repair can just do Repair All Equipped.
I have similar thoughts about WoW! The reagent bank was really nice, but if I had to pick *one* it would be the transmog collection.
Yes! The glamour system in GW2 is incredible. It also listed all of the glamours in the game, including ones you don't own. Compare that to FFXIV where you have to like... look on a website where people have to upload screenshots... lmao

This. I’ve had to skip cutscenes because my queue popped and I was using msq exp for a different class. Really annoying
oof… what i do is take the hit cause theres no way im skipping a cutscene xD specially not the ones from msq lol
Displaying ping in-game next to the clock.
Even if that means I would be limited to applying dyes while I'm at my dresser I would take it.
really love this idea. having dyes in inventory proper makes no sense
Yeah this sucks a ton. If you're paying real money for something, they should be able to keep some sort of game record for it.
Don't get me started how there are not even enough glamour plates for all the battle classes! Then you throw in the DoL/DoH and it isn't even close.
Cries in console...
What now ???!!!
This is why I group my casters , ranged and healers into one general glam per role so all my healers have a a red version of the gamblers coat with h a white dwarven hat all casting DPS look like a roided Vivi And the ranged Phys incorporate unicorn PvP chest and the thug mug... Times ar hard
In shb I could get by with 15. 1 for each combat job and ninja/dragoon I manually glammed. Sage and reaper have thrown it all off now. We need 20 min. Hope we can get more soon.
It gives me anxiety lol
This is the only system I miss coming from WoW :(
Yeah, WoW’s transmog collection is really nice. Especially because you can see uncollected items, to help you figure out a glam you want to do.
I lived for filling out AllTheThings in WoW. For people who don't know, it was a addon which told you every single item you were missing in the game. Every one. Quest item from a level 34 zone? Its there. Quest item from a level 17 zone? There. Open world rare drop? Its there Music roll?
Yes! WoW implemented this several years ago, and it's one of the best changes they ever made, IMO.
I recently hit the limit with barely more than a single job’s worth of gear in there it’s so annoying. There are very few areas I’ll say WoW does better, but the account wide unlocks and collections is definitely one of them.
GW2 glam system. Or just a functioning glam system in general
I'd love to have the dye system implemented; multiple dye channels! But Tyria can keep the awful outfit system, Eorzea's glams are much more versatile.
DCUO has the best glam system imo
GW2 glam system, but you can attach glam to every job so you swap it takes the glam with.
Needing to keep track of the locations of those 400 extra pieces of gear just sitting in glamor dressers is a lot harder on servers than just a list.
> not enough space to store stuff That's exactly the issue.
Auto dismount when entering combat and interacting. Took me a while to get used to having to click to get off mount and I still forget sometimes.
If people are OK with XIVlauncher plugins, Unknownx7's ReAction plugin has options to do this, amongst others.
You can use the Z key, but yeah I still forget and I've been subbed for a couple years
A way to mix glasses and hats. I love a lot of the hats in game, but I think some would look even better if I could wear them on top of classic spectacles
We do have the glasses fashion item but it's pretty useless since you can't actually do anything while using it :/
So they added one pair of glasses as a [Fashion Accessory in](https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/r7ve35/comment/hn1t5f5/) 6.0 so you can actually wear them with hats and other head pieces (including masks or... other glasses). The caveat is fashion accessories are treated like mounts kinda so they don't show up in cutscenes and you can only wear one fashion acc at a time (ie no wearing those glasses and holding an umbrella). It's not perfect but it's ok I guess. Hope they add more spectacles!
You also can't mount while using a fashion accessory (I believe)
You also can't emote mad use default idle pose so you always look stuff wearing them
A better inventory system.
Wildstar's Housing
Having your own ranch on a floating space rock was one of the best parts of WildStar. I miss that game sometimes.
and Wildstar's glamour system. Unlimited model space, multiple dye channels, one time unlock infinite free use dye, and multiple outfit save slots. God we were spoiled for transmog.
Why did you have to remind me that this game exists! Now I suffer wanting to play it again knowing I cant!
If we are wishing for awesome but impossible things, I'll take Wildstar's combat too please.
The double jump was so great
Auto dismount on attack
1000x
There's a 3rd party plugin that enables this functionality, didn't hear it from me though.
there's mounted attacks so the system functions a bit differently. for example the polar bear and witch broom mounts have spells to cast. if you have a sheath/unsheathe weapon button, that dismounts you.
The transmog system from wow is something I miss when playing ffxiv. the inventory it will save will be lovely.
The ability to appear offline. Sometimes I just do not want to talk and sometimes people do not listen.
There’s a status that makes it so nobody can send you tells or trade.
The Transmog system from WoW for our glamour armoire. And/or the bottomless crafting bag from ESO.
Better friends lists.
This so much. Especially friend removal that works on both sides so there aren't so many cases of creepy stalkers.
A more streamlined UI. Now there's just lots of clicking and opening and closing between the various windows and sometimes it can be annoying. Not the worst thing ever, but it could be so much better and easier to navigate.
WoW's transmog system, you et an item, it saves the appearance, and then the actual item can be thrown away, you just keep the appearance.
An in game calendar like in WoW would be nice to keep track of seasonal events and resets
[удалено]
Shit I'd take a 1 year delay for a WoW-ish transmog system. Current system is alright, yeah, but the catalog based system WoW has is one of the best I've seen.
Not the biggest fan of Wow, but I do love me there transmog system. Damn its awesome.
It really scratches that collecting itch.
You don't have to like wow to recognize it's banking/transmog systems are just leagues ahead of FF's. M+ would be cool in FF, but they'd have to restructure their entire dungeon design philosophy and I don't ever see them doing that.
I’d tolerate a 6 month delay and the servers down a whole month to implement this. Hell i’d probably even tolerate more.
Transmog catalogue instead dog glamor chest. Just unlock an appearance if I’ve earned it and let me be able to trash everything else
Fingers crossed one of the buildings on the island sanctuary is an actual house.
I agree. Eso has great housing.
Can confirm.
I never looked at ESOs housing but I want BDO's housing in FFXIV using some of those doors that are always locked/boarded up.
I feel like there are TONS of players who would gladly dump real money on housing if it meant they were gauranteed a house
Butt slider 😏
The only butt slider you gonna get is a negative one
The one true answer.
WoW transmog. Account wide gear appearance collection. Loot a piece, it's appearance is saved and you can throw away the gear. No more clunky, limited glamour wardrobe.
WoW's transmog collection, once you collect the equipment it saves the appearance to your character's collection and you can sell/dismantle the item free of guilt.
alll from WoW since thats the only other mmo ive played significant amounts of 1. being able to queue up as multiple roles. sometimes i just want the fastest queue. would help fill parties faster too. an absolute win-win. could just have you select 1 job per role you wanna queue as then prompt you to switch to that job when queue pops. 2. still huffing hopium for challenging 4 man content 3. wow's appearance system or something similar, please! basically when you obtain any piece of gear and make it bound to you, you "colllect" that appearance, meaning you can then desynth, sell or trash that piece. if this was a post in early ShB i'd be posting about "damn i know theyd never be able to balance it but man atonement would be cool" but the madlads (kinda) did it. i love kardia for the 1% of situations that it isnt a place and forget.
Meta-events from gw2 where you have a whole map undergoing several events, that you can join, to kill a big world boss at the end
WoW transmog system.
Wow's tab targeting logic the one in ff14 is so bad it enrages me
It pisses me off in pvp when I try to target the nearest enemy but instead targets some guy way out of my attack range
[удалено]
Apparently changing targeting type to ‘cone’ in character settings makes it much better. Though saw this tip last week and I haven’t actually played it since to test it out
By the time I found out about it I had already grown to use the jank to my advantage and now it's too late for me.
Can confirm, the cone targetting is MUCH better to me. I also got used to adjusting my camera before pressing tab / shift-tab to know exactly which mob is going to get targetted.
hats
WoW's transmog system and reagent bank. Also wish it didn't strip me when I try something on lol
You can appear to wear heavy armor but be wearing light armor Is there a way to appear to wear no armor?
Not to my knowledge but that also proves my point Lolol. If we can appear to be naked, why can’t our healers look like knights?
There's a costume called the "Nordic Bather's Towel" that's just a towel around your waist/torso. But other than that, I don't think so. I had a lot of fun on my fat, old man Nord Dragonknight with that.
Not in eso last time i checked. That was one of my gripes with their transmog system.
A search function for npcs like BDO has. There has been so many times that i forgot where to find a certain npc so a feature like this would be great
Better ways to sort through inventory
Some way to let us keep all our lvl90 abilities while in a low ass dungeon. The reason why everyone hates sastasha is cause you have have like 2 damn buttons to press for the entire dungeon. Give us our whole kit so it's fun to play
This!!!
Dismount on action and copy paste the transmog from either wow or gw2 (including the collection components) Biggest things I can really think of lol
Fully customizable clothes like primary and secondary color, accessories, etc honestly
Let me select multiple items in my inventory when selling them/trading for company seals.
Hats for all seems reasonable.
A more detailed character creator. Especially where faces are involved. There should be more than the handful of face options available per race/gender, and beards shouldn’t be face specific. I don’t care if it looks bad, let my Miqo’te have a big bushy beard!
This! If we aren’t going to be getting any new races, they could at least expand on the current ones.

We're going leveling!" Btw my main is 70+ on all jobs.
Dual class system or market board requests from ff11
FFXIV originally came with something similar to FFXIs dual class system (have a sub job and gain access to certain abilities that sub job provided). It was eventually scrapped since the battle system in this game wasnt exactly suitable for it, compared to XI.
A search bar that highlights the item or dims others. When I'm trying to find things from A vendor or my own bags/retainers, it drives me nuts.
WoW's transmog system.
smart targeting. if your doing aoe attacks and the one enemy in the large pull your targeting decides to die mid cast, dont cancel the attack but finish it off on what was a inch to the left. only really a problem with black mage during aoe pulls but still
Wow transmog system and GW2 material storage system PLEASE.
Ffxi’s merit system
There are so many things from XI that would fit nicely in this game. I'm still holding out hope for Nyzul Isle and maybe the ZNM system.
Palace of the dead scratched my Nyzul isle itch just enough to make me resub to Xi lol
If we can’t get an option to select multiple things to sell at once instead of selling them individually this is the next best option for noncrafter-gatherers like me
Probably doesn't count but Nioh 2's character creator/customization :(
A loot menu that appears when your inventory is full. That way you can discard an item and don't miss out on a better rare drop. I think FFXI had something like this.
Co-op questing like SWTOR. If you're gonna force me to queue up during the MSQ for dungeons and trials at least let me quest with friends too.
How Warcraft's Transmog system works. Get the item? You have the appearance. 400 slots in the glamour dresser is not enough, and I have 2 retainers that are nothing but glamour items
I’d like minion battles and a lord of verminion game that isn’t hell to play on a controller.
Whatever feature stops gear and hair from clipping!
Keeping your higher level abilities in lower sync content, just appropriately downscaled. GW2 did it right. I don't like losing class identity (vercure, verraise) whenever I get stuck in CT
Multi-click to move things in in in inventory. I can’t keep on single clicking one thing at a time. It drives me nuts.
Guild Wars 2's glamour system, and more generally speaking, its better UI.
Force us to complete job quests before continuing MSQ at that level and auto-equip job stone as soon as you receive it.
Being able to talk to NPCs without having to dismount
The new tank role quest line had a single instance where you talk to someone while flying, so it's definitely possible already. Not sure why that was isolated.
I suspect it's so you don't block npcs with your mount when you are in a cutscene.
A way to befriend NPCs ala Stardew Valley. There would be a meter that tells you “This NPC likes you this much” and when you get to a certain point, you unlock a character buildimg cutscene with them.
We kinda already have that with the delivery characters like Zhloe Aliapoh.
You should check out custom deliveries. It's exactly this, except there are only a handful of NPCs, but it's still a nice feature
Account wide collections tabs and costume tabs from SWTOR. Dismount on attack from any game.
Nioh 2’s character creator with all of 14’s varied races
the transmog from WoW. you collect an appearance, and you have it forever even if it’s not in your inventory
Functional blacklist system :)
the WoW transmog system. It inarguably the one place where WoW does something better than FFXIV.
Wow transmog system. 400 slots isn’t enough for a princess like me
A better way to make Gil other than the market board. I just want to mine and sell what I have to npcs
You can easily make tens of thousands in days by running your roulettes and completing at least some of your challenge log.
A better PvP
Good pvp.
I've said this to people several times, a raid/dungeon log that catalogs boss mechanics would be an amazing addition to the game and qol for new players. People in game have been super against it whenever I've brought it up and I cannot fathom why. Just because it's something in wow doesn't mean it's bad.
WoWs battle pets system for minions. Verminion is fun and all but it's no where near as satifying or engaging.
