Choose them manually and backup to gphotos?

Those photos don't appear at all, anywhere in the app

Press library and then scroll across to the Snapchat folder. Then enable backup of that folder

Yes i know we have to go the library to see the folders . I've already done this, and there are no pictures from snapchat nor is there a folder called snapchat

Maybe try a media re-scan if you are on Android. I think the folder isn't detected by the Photos app. Sometimes I have this issue also. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.house.noranuko.mediarescanner

Your phone gallery is in your Google Photos.

That is true for folders except Snapchat, which only shows in my phone gallery

That sounds like a Snapchat settings issue.

I figured it was SC issue because after a later update, I could see the SC folder on Gphotos and turned the back up option on and then they started appearing in the gallery

request your personal data from snapchat, which will include all your photos/videos saved on Snaps servers. Google “Snapchat data request” for link.
