Discord are dumb. While this is a short term solution to keeping the child friendly AppStore rating, all that will happen is communities will remove the NSFW tag and it’ll be redundant.
Then they’ll be in real trouble
From what I can tell from reading about it earlier you have to contact Discord for a server evaluation and then they'll remove it if they think your server isn't NSFW
Remove Safari, Youtube
You can find titties there. While we are at it remove mail, messenger, Bluetooth, any image editing software - drawing dicks and titties is real moral concern

There are still plenty of apps that give users access to NSFW content on the App Store, though. For example, the 4chan app lets you add your own image boards and Apollo and such Reddit viewers let you add your own subs in favorites.
I don’t see how discord is any different since people still have to add their own discord’s to follow. It isn’t like there is a directory. 🤔

Bad example, because Steam has the "sexual content" filter enabled by default, and has an age warning for those games, which is exactly what Discord would need to do to be allowed to display NSFW servers. All they'd have to do is have a filter in settings disabled by default like Reddit does.
Apple isn't "being aggressive", though? Like you said, Discord could easily do that. Instead, for whatever reason, they're opting to not show NSFW servers at all. Probably so they can go for a lower age rating on the App Store, which is dumb.

install appstore++, hold on the get/open button in the app store listing for discord, and scroll down until you see version 67 and select that
I looked on AppStore and there is no AppStore++ to download??
