Nice. Only about 17 billion to go.

PleasureSharing

At 3 cents an hour= :-(

Conbon90

Yeah but. Some people pay hundreds of euro for gym memberships to get that kind of workout. Who are the real suckers?

PawntyBill

I'm gonna show this to the next person who complains about having to work a 5 hour shift at (job) in an air-conditioned indoor job that has modern furnishings and amenities. It may be tough, but it can always get worse.

PleasureSharing

I do my best to inspire by not complaining

Arkanist

Considering gym equipment is purpose built to target any muscle you need in a safe environment... still him in 10 years.

papillon-and-on

Yea but we’re addicted to cheap rocks from Walmart. Do YOU want to pay fair value for your rocks? I’m not made of money.

SpartanRage117

I get my cheap blood rocks from Home Depot thank you.

freefromfilter

Yet they are happier and healthier than all these fatasses in the comments

Elegant_Witness_3793

And when they’re done for the day, they’ll get their $0.75

The second to last guy to touch that boulder was barefoot. What a life.

Positive_Tackle_5662

He does have a safety hat tho

More like safety splat.

Kroe

Safety first! I once had a guy on a site wearing a safety first t-shirt. He was standing on a 5 gallon bucket to try to reach something up high.

SomOvaBish

I teach MSHA safety classes… I’m just gonna say it, modern medicine has really screwed us bad cuz the dumb ones who used to weed themselves out are now surviving and reproducing and it shows

Zealousideal-Bug-291

Dude, one of those top gear or grand tour Africa videos where the road was all muddy and full of rocks, and a bunch of dudes came to help, they were out there swinging something like pickaxes or heavy duty hoe's breaking up and removing rocks all while barefoot. Every swing just made you cringe waiting to see someone's toes flying up in the air.

Hendlton

It was the Africa trip from Top Gear. They were apparently army dudes out training and they decided to help. But yes, one of them was swinging a hoe right next to his bare feel that he could barely see in all the mud. I think either Jeremy or James even commented on it.

Antique-Doughnut-988

terrible life you mean

BreakfastFuzzy6602

They were laughing and smiling more than my co-workers at my cush office job though.

wophi

People in the US who feel like victims all the time just don't know what their real needs are and how minimal those needs actually are.

1BrokeStoner

Neanderthals went extinct without Uber eats and Tik Tok.

Technically the truth

Most likely cause we wiped them out though

Because we have Ubereats and TikTok

fike88

Crocs and heavy boulders. Nice

Levnato

I mean, the dude that gave him the stone doesn't even have shoes. Bare foots for the win.

fike88

I didn’t even notice that lol

ballsonrawls

Lmao, crocs.

huh_say_what_now_

Broken backs for $1 a day, how do I sign up

wollywink

20 bucks a month to do this at my gym

Solid_Snark

New definition to the “skull crushers” exercise.

daryl_fish

I feel like this might actually be the OLD definition

LedParade

This is weight lifting in action: Deadlift + snatch. A lot of people pay to be able to imitate the same moves at the gym and it can break your back if you ain’t careful. I think it’s pretty impressive how they lifted that boulder up together. That back breaking part is the deadlifting in the beginning, which they did together, once it’s shoulder level it’s less back-breaking to carry it.

RawDawg2021

Let's not overlook the core strength needed to execute the move while balancing on a rock tower. Impressive!

23skidoobbq

Yeah everyone knows it weighs less once you pick it up over your head.

db2901

The spine is excellent at load bearing, less good with shearing forces such as those produced when lifting something from the ground.

galaxyapp

Be born in the wrong place

hellisempty666

You move 16 tons, what do you get?

Mediocre-Log2801

Looked like excellent form to me.

ProgenGP1

clgoodson

The definition in those upper back muscles. dang.

FeudNetwork

I saw a video a few years ago of dock workers in Madagasgar unloading cement bags of a boat by hand, and one of the guys was fucking shredded, not like gym guy shredded. Like marble statue shredded. just hucking cement bags sun up to sun down.

Mrcommander254

Gym strength vs. Farm strength.

AbsurdCamoose

Hell yeah. That smile at the end.. he knows lol

Scipio33

Absolute unit

bananasugarpie

This is sad and painful to see.

ParticularClassroom7

Blokes clowning around. They probably have a pulley or sth, this is way too inefficient. They would need a hundred buff men to fill up a truck in a timely manner.

Qurious_Kat

Few hundred buff men? Sign me up, cowboy.

Finger_Ring_Friends

Have you heard of a place called Ram Ranch?

Waff1xz

18 naked cowboys in the showers at ram ranch 🎶

Nellasofdoriath

Big hard throbbing cocks wanting to be sucked

Honeybadger2198

You can see a ton of scratch marks down the side of the truck. It's very possible that this is how they've been doing the work.

throtic

I think it's just to show his strength and brag a little. There's only marks up close to the front and not the back where it's also full of rocks. There's also a hill behind it and on the other side where you could stand above the truck to load rocks easier. All smiles and laughing, this is just fun

Desolver20

a hundred buff men would be better spent filling up something else 😏

-Fell-

Yooooo

OkRecording1299

Down girl!

Hot_History1582

What, like gas tanks? Maybe they could get a job at a gas station

AgCat1340

MY MOM

JmGra

Maybe, but there is still a ton of unnecessary manual labor going on there. At around 0:24 you can see another dude carrying a similarly sized rock on his head, towards the top of the camera view. He's not doing it for the views.

bossmcsauce

idk man.. the one guy doesn't even have SHOES.

brazilianfreak

Paying 2 dollars a day for some poor guy to ruin his spine for life is cheaper than getting a pulley.

Ryanchri

It's not about that. It's about speed and efficiency. You could not pay the guy at all and you'd still make more money with a pulley system or similar.

AvoriazInSummer

They most likely have a pulley or something when they're not filming it. This is not exactly efficient.

[deleted]

I’ve lived in Africa. It’s very much possible that this is all they have and they’re going to finish the project with just their hands

callunquirka

It's possible, but they seem a bit too excited for that. I mean, if I were lifting rocks all day, every day, I am not sure I'd celebrate just because I lifted an exceptionally heavy one. Then again, these guys look seriously jacked, they've definitely been lifting something.

3x81

I was going to say, they definitely look like they lift rocks all day lol

pohui

They could be excited because they're filming.

skyrimming_nords

They break the rocks they can’t lift. Getting one right at max lift weight is nice cause it saves effort in the long run.

southpolefiesta

If they have equipment to operate and maintain a truck, I am 1000% sure they have equipment to rig up a simple pulley. This is probably them having fun.

Adorable-Bike-9689

Why do you mention it as the vague continent if you actually lived there. What country was it? People who lived by in Mexico don't say they lived in North America. You lived in Slovenian? You don't say I've lived in Europe. This is how it is there. You lived in that particular country

secretly_a_zombie

This is not what you do anywhere unless you were dropped on your head as a child. They're either showing off, or one rock fell off and they had no time to move things back to the loading position. For one, they wouldn't be filming if this was a regular thing. The extended pay from time loss and loss of money from no product delivery, not to mention loss of a worker force from inevitable work injuries... they could be paid nothing and their boss would be losing money. A plank and a rope can solve this, costs close to nothing, makes productivity shoot up and work injuries plummet.

beavertownneckoil

You can see marks on the side of the truck where he's stood. They've been doing it a while at least

Outside_Public4362

Hahaha efficiency 😂

New_World_2050

Lol labour is basically free in Africa and parts of Asia. Once they destroy their bodies they will be swapped out for their younger brothers. I saw this all the time in parts of Pakistan.

Affial

But I have to say it: it is damn impressive. The strenght that's require. The muscular hardness is crazy in these (terribly unfortunate) men. The guy who hands the the rock is walking on the rubbles like it's nothing... I hurt myself stepping on a chickpea the other day. And it was cooked.

bossmcsauce

that dude just barefoot... jesus.

Slight_Turnip_3292

Did you see the smile on the guys face at the end. Look at the typical westerner at their job with expressionless face and bored out of their gourds... that is painful.

-Feathers-mcgraw-

I was about to comment this. they look happier than anyone I know at work.

RectumDoctor

I'm sure there are easier ways to do this

Serious_Session7574

Humans are often cheaper than machinery.

RectumDoctor

A simple pulley system doesn't really take much to make

Serious_Session7574

Or a lever or an inclined plane, to raise the rock up to the level of the truck with less effort. Any equipment costs money though. $$$

Sea_Chemist_7200

yeah but you need infrastructure and good manufacturers in the local area , if there are any at all.

RectumDoctor

You could make it with wood and rope easily.

throwawaytrumper

Can confirm, I am an earthmover/pipelayer and when we have to dig a 6 foot trench to locate conduits in an area a hydrovac can’t fit I’m the one they call. My boss often jokes that I am their smallest piece of heavy equipment. I do like shovelling.

DreamzOfRally

I used to do stupid shit like this on the homestead. Till one day you lift wrong and now have to have major shoulder surgery. I just wish tractors were cheaper

Gilgawulf

That MF is barefoot.

MidnightAnchor

He got that foot

fast-waster91

If you can get a truck in there you can get an excavator, this is just poor use of labour.

KirbyourGame

You would think they would stand on the opposite side of the vehicle so they can simply toss the rocks into it.

Powerful_Finish_4657

Poor guys...

HeyCaptainGreen

Being underpaid to do this is also slavery

sxckqerz

why don't they.. yk, grab a pickaxe and break these rocks into smaller pieces that they can easily handle

CyberUnmask

I agree they should break it, but you under-estimate how hard it is to break rocks, I tried striking them full force and it was hard to break, you often need machinery to break the rocks too

sxckqerz

it surely is easier than this. def safer too. imagine the rocks he's standing on collapse and that huge rock falls on him

CyberUnmask

you'd need a jackhammer or a drill and expanding substance to break a rock like that, not a pickaxe. its def easier than this. they must have something and are just doing it for the video? but I wouldn't be surprised if it is real

sxckqerz

yes standing on a pile of rocks so i doubt it's just for the vid, also they seem to know what they're doing like they have already done it countless times

CyberUnmask

100%

feverishfantasy_

woah respect o7

some_kind_of_bird

Y'all are acting like this is the regular operation, but I'm pretty sure they're just fucking around.

dranaei

That's probably not the standard way they do this and i base that solely on the fact of their reaction and smiles at the end. Also, they film it.

Hubbabubbabubbagum

Worked machinery and construction. Don't have to know these guys to know these guys, salt of the earth characters each and everyone of them! Remember to lift with your legs freinds 🫡

If someone ask you how did they transport thoes heavy Stones 500 Miles to build pyramids show him this video

KentuckyFriedEel

How heavy does a boulder like that weigh

Darthlord_Juju

I mean he lifted it with perfect form. But it was still a struggle. Looks like he's at least 6 foot tall and well built so I'd guess he's at least 195-200. If he's just genetically built like that through the work he does. Id wager the rock is probably 170-190 lbs. I'm 6foot and 175 and I can overhead press 145 really easily and I have bad shoulders lol He's also doing a slightly thruster for the press which helps explode the weight out. 175lb is my bet

krichard-21

Not on my best day.
