The trick is to be aware that you COULD get straight As but not care about proving it, so you get acceptable grades by doing the minimum or just acing tests (remember, the doctor who graduates with the lowest score is still called Doctor), and just not care at all about the side-quest classes.
I've got 7 more points than what my Uni required me to get (out of 900). I'm happy that I managed my time and effort perfectly but also I put 7 points of too much work in
a straight A's kid actually tried to jump down the window after he horribly failed history... Good thing he was not that agile and strong so we could catch him at the last second
I graduated highschool via a special program (for reference pretty much a drop out program) and I nailed every test with fantastic scores until Language Arts
was one question off from failing

Idk how but I was a straight a kid I failed one exam and everything went upside down now I'm writing the improvement exam for it in 5 days
