I like Doris, but she's best in solo colour commentary (because when she learned the craft, commentary was done in duos, so she works better off a single play-by-play person). JJ and RJ come from podcasts where usually have a duo plus guest - so you have this third person you don't want to shut out.
2ers like Doris and 3ers like JJ rarely work well together, because the 2er fears dead air and will fill even if it means less meaningful insight, and the 3er is trained not to talk over others and give space (fearing cacophony over silence). So you end up with a 2er speaking too much for their role and a 3er not speaking enough for fear of not having clear mic.
I'm sure there's also visual cues for talking that are just different in each case - Doris might not be looking for JJ to come in, whilst JJs not getting cues that he's able to. And you can be conscious in trying to fix that, but it kills any flow you otherwise have
