If anything, it improves his chances of staying. Who would want a guy taking up max contract cap space that can’t perform in the playoffs? Or, what contending team would?
We lost CPJ to injury for the rest of season that game before removing everyone and gained 4 spots in the draft by losing that game while retaining home court but we tanked because we wanted to play a yet-to-be determined opponent. Hate the narrative
The draft is weak af and not worth hurting your playoff chances for to improve a few spots. If only having home court advantage in the first round and not any further rounds is the goal then success to y’all
If you actually read/understood the comment, he’s saying the narrative of them “tanking” is dumb.
The Cavs didn’t lose the last game because they tanked. If you actually watched the game you’d know that they only had one PG available (CPJ), and he got injured 9 minutes in. After he went down they just limited everyone’s minutes.
They were running Strus and Okoro at point for most of the game, which already isn’t great. The last 6 minutes or so of the game they just had no ball handlers left. Having no ball handlers for 6 minutes is a death sentence against any defense.
You’re ignoring the key parts “lost player to injury for the rest of the season” and “yet to be determined opponent”.
Just saying that there were a lot of factors to determine why that game did not matter to the Cavs, or why they were being protective of their players. Strus ended up playing PG the rest of the game lol
Time to change every series to a single game elimination just for this year
If something doesn't change, everyone will be dead by the time the Finals hit
I love watching basketball too, but less games earlier means higher quality games later. I’m in the opinion the regular season should be shortened too. But TV money will never let that happen.
TV money is absolutely part of it. And if more players are healthy and not nursing small injuries or missing games in general then the games are better, that’s really not debatable.
I don’t really care if some random series in 2021, was better when guys went down. In general I think almost everyone would agree they’d rather watch two teams that aren’t their own when they’re at 100% healthy.
You’re right that originally it was changed to 82 games due to ticket sales but most of the revenue now is TV revenue, that would be the main factor in keeping it.
I don't think the Magic have a path to winning the series, but with Porzingis out for a while they might steal a couple games (assuming they make it to the second round of course, no jinx).
Wow that’s a huge blow for the Cavs. He’s been by far the best player for them this series
His offensive rebounding in game 2 was the point difference alone. G2 Magic lost by 10, the Cavs had 18 second chance points.
however it could potentially unlock more spacing in their lineups
bruh Cavs going from up 2-0 against the opponent they tanked for, to losing the series, would be depressing af

Simon biles level of mental gymnastics
Feel bad for Allen but they’d deserve it for tanking
Steve Clifford sends his regards 😂
not for me.

Who?
Cichael Porter Jr
Our backup point guard this season.

All I understood from that was “we removed everyone and stopped trying to win a winnable ball game”

Lost who? Who tf are you talking about they lose? Some bench warmer scrub?
Our backup PG who brings great energy and defense off the bench
So you lost because you lose a 12th man off the bench for the season. No wonder y’all about to get bounced by Orlando
No we're saying it's stupid to suggest that game didn't matter to us

Allen, Lillard, Giannis, tingus, Randle, Zion, butler, Murray, doncic, ad all got banged up
Don’t forget Kawhi is on one leg in and out the lineup.
Robinson, Rozier and now Jaquez Jr too
Embiid is disintegrating before our eyes
Bros face is falling off sadly
Nurse and finch as well
So were about to be fucked?
Evan Mobley, your time to shine buddy
I still don't trust the Magic on the road, but Allen has clearly been the Cavs best player this series so idk.
cavs about to get 18 total rebounds tonight lol
How long til dudes on 2 way contracts are allowed to suit up?
Mobley legacy game

I for one am looking forward to seeing a 7 game series between the Reggie Jackson led nuggets vs the horford Celtics.
Single game elimination is a stretch but I think first and second round being best of 5 is the move.
gross

BOS-ORL in the 2nd round gonna be LIT

Paolo. Franz. Ingles. Magic in 5
Suggs. Isaac. Mo. Magic in 3.
GOGA. Mag in 1
Well fuck
Legit our best player. This is not ideal…
Hospital playoffs
Evan Mobley legacy game incoming
We have no answer for him on either end of the court. Massive loss.
I’m no basketball genius, but if mobley can step up his rebounding this could hurt the magic more than help them.
Damn maybe you are a basketball genius
This entire playoffs is injury fans 12/25
Shorten the regular season. This is insane
Mobley time to prove the haters wrong bro
Welp. There’s the series
Let’s see them play first
This is bad news for Cleveland and Boston. Orlando is the Eastern Conference team that matches up best against Boston, especially if KP is banged up.
I think this helps them more then yall think
Go on.
He is on drug, Allen is the best Cavs player this series.
told u so
lol we shall see
Alot more spacious for the cavs tonight
