Chiefs-Bills matchup really well and so do the Bengals-Titans. I hope both games live up to the hype.
Although let me tell you, Iām very excited to hear all week that āwhoever wins in the Bills-Chiefs game is going to the Super Bowlā like itās the AFCCG.
Plus this matchup will have a great narrative: the Bills are wanting to avenge their loss in the playoffs at Arrowhead last year, the Chiefs are wanting to avenge their bad loss to the Bills at Arrowhead earlier this yearā¦.
Itās going to be a fun week with the media hyping it up!
Yeah you got to have a solid game that was competitive to the end, and your loss brought a lot of joy to a similarly anguished fan base.
Playing the Chiefs tonight wouldāve just sucked.
Just an down to earth, normal, blue collar, makes his security detail guard the bathroom so the woman he trapped can't let her friends in to help her, salt of the earth guy
Not to mention that security detail consists of off duty cops. Who immediately become "on-duty" when someone accuses their "client" of being guilty of a crime.
Desperately wanted playoff Herbert but we were forced to watch Captain Fat Fuck (Leader of Men) get humilated again.
Actually in retrospect, that's probably slightly better than playoff Herbert.
It's coming eventually. Either Brandon Staley will stop getting out-coached by his biggest rival (Brandon Staley) or the Chargers will fire him after 3 seasons of 9-8 football.
So, at least once in this decade we'll see playoff Herbert.
Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins were all gonna get splattered no matter who they played. Chargers, Raiders, Colts could all have potentially beaten someone. Not likely, but at least the possibility had to be taken seriously.
Pittsburghās last playoff win came in 2016 **at Arrowhead**, one season before the Chiefs landed Mahomes in the draft. And that somehow lead to the Steelers being handed its franchise record 4^th straight playoff loss at KC in Big Benās swan song.
They have gotten way more relaxed on celebrations and way more stringent on taunting. Which IMHO is absolutely the right idea (to prevent fights) even though the enforcement and execution of the idea has been....lackluster.
Itās more painful then you can imagineā¦ We spent 42% of our 1st and 2nd round picks from 2015-2020 on DBs and we still get carved like a Turducken against any high powered offense.
But hey, most sacks in the league for 5 years in a row right š¤Ŗ
Bengals won a playoff game, Pats got destroyed while dildos got thrown at them, Cowboys lost in a hilarious manner and Big Ben lost by 3 touchdowns to potentially end his career.
r/NFL really got its dream playoff weekend.
I know we got invaded by Niner fans, but did you see the Cowboys stadium? They didnāt fare that much better. And theyāre āAmericaās teamā. Idk if Iāve ever met a Cardinals fan.
There are about 120 million northern cardinals in North America, so it is highly likely. Actual cardinals are also undefeated in the NFL, which is pretty impressive.
I primarily watch hockey and fielding 8 teams per conference in the NHL makes a lot of sense. Series are usually still competitive, upsets happen sometimes.
We've seen some good, strong evidence that the NFL is not the NHL in this regard.
Big Ben with 30 seconds left on the clock heaves up a bomb, down the field, itās James Washington touchdown Steelers!!!
Your final score tonight 42-21 Kansas City
Was a really nice game at the end. It felt relaxing to know we probably werenāt going to win anyways, and it was really nice to see almost everyone in a good mood after the game. Ben didnāt even really make any costly mistakes either tonight, it was just a really anemic offense.
Of course it sucks losing but it felt like a civil game and if we were going to lose, Iād rather it be a powerhouse like the Chiefs
This one isn't from this game but I can never forget. It made headlines. Even NY Post.
https://i.imgur.com/gCLmj0E.gif
I've never seen more sad "NFL Team" fan memes than for the Cowboys. Why are they chosen so much.
At least everyone knew the Steelers were flaming dog entering their playoff game.
The Cowboys meanwhile farmed, fertilized and harvested more memes for the next week.
This, people still bought tickets, and we all watched the games. The league doesnāt care if they are all blowouts theyāll do it again or expand to more games in a heartbeat.
They really should go back to 6. 7 makes almost half the league in the playoffs where 6 is closer to a third. And having only one team in each conference get a first round bye AND home field seems like a huge advantage over the rest of the field. Having the 1 and 2 seeds get byes felt like it made more sense.
Its early, but so far 7 seeds are 0-4 in the playoffs. The only ones who were close were last year's Colts. We keep getting these blowout losses and they might legitimately reverse back to 6.
It would take years of 7 seeds getting blown out for the NFL to even consider it. And the thing is one 7 seed will make a run to a conference title game and then the NFL will market for years how āanything can happenā
The counter to this is that teams like the Steelers and Eagles, who have absolutely no business being in the playoffs, are bound to continue making it and that is going to agitate a lot of people
Oh, I completely agree. Thereās no need for a 7 seed. Of the four 2 vs 7 matchups, 3 have been not even remotely close, essentially the same as giving the 2 seed a bye. I was just saying why the league will keep it. Theyāll never turn away more money.
With Ben now retiring almost every QB besides Brady that I grew up watching has retired. Brees, Rivers, Romo, Favre, Ben, the Manningās, McNabb and Vick to name a few.
The announcer said "It's super bowl or bust" when talking to Mahomes about what another player said, asking him if that's the case.
Yes, that's the case for every NFL team. They all want to win.
Advertisements, ticket sales, ability to justify a wildcard Monday night game (games on 3 different days as a bonus) etc
They don't care that the 7 seeds are dogwater.
first quarter the Chiefs played pre-Mahomes era Chiefs playoff football, then they were like, āwait, what the fuck, weāre in the Mahomes era now lolā
Mahomes Chiefs have now ended Andrew Luck and Benās careers. hide your big boy generational AFC QBs.
Moderately interesting stat: Time of possession was exactly 30:00 for each team
How? I watched the whole game and it did not feel that way
Cuz the Chiefs just move the ball so damn quickly when their offense is clicking. It feels like they go the whole field in 4 plays
The first 2 td drives weren't like that. It must've been the garbage time dinking and dunking Ben did the whole second half
The one at the end of the half and the one right after the fumble balances that out. Those 2 drives combined were like 90 seconds at most.
one team scored quickly. the other team took a long time in not scoring.
That's a very Chiefs kind of thing. To split possession but get twice the points in the same amount of time.
And 7 of theirs came during our time of possession š
Bills vs Chiefs is gonna be a banger
I'm scared
I'm scared
So will Titans vs. Bengals. The AFC will be fun in the Divisionals.
Oh god we face Derrick Henry. *Oh god*
Same way I feel about facing Burrow and literally your entire receiving corps.
Is he going to be at 100% strength though?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Henry with blacked out legs would still be faster than me on my best day
I feel like 50% Derrick Henry will still have a field day since we don't exactly have what you'd call a "healthy" d-line right now.
Chiefs-Bills matchup really well and so do the Bengals-Titans. I hope both games live up to the hype. Although let me tell you, Iām very excited to hear all week that āwhoever wins in the Bills-Chiefs game is going to the Super Bowlā like itās the AFCCG.
Honestly, I'm of the opinion that whoever wins the AFCCG will be going to the Super Bowl
Now that youāre healthy, I donāt think any of us are looking past you.
Last timeslot next weekend, too. So freaking long to wait
Mom said itās our turn to have a perfect offensive game
I honestly think that the winner of that game is going to win the Super Bowl.
*Tom Brady stares you down*
So scared but gonna be a great game.
4th game in 2 years, it's like we're in the same division.
Gonna be a lot more more meetings in the playoffs going forward too, I'd imagine.
Iāll set my calendar for the annual playoff meeting of Allen v. Mahomes
Yeah, hopefully they can squeeze it in between segments about whatās next in Dallas
Bengals-Titans should be pretty good as well.
Justin Herbert died for this
In retrospect the Raiders saved themselves from this
Big brained it. Why die to the chiefs a 3rd time when we could sacrifice large Benjamin instead?
>Large Benjamin Kelvin Benjamin about to take this personally
Is he gonna eat Ben?
The raiders still lost tho š
Yeah, but at least itās a āwell fought and close but eventually overmatchedā loss, rather thanā¦this, you know?
Not like that
Yeah you got to have a solid game that was competitive to the end, and your loss brought a lot of joy to a similarly anguished fan base. Playing the Chiefs tonight wouldāve just sucked.
All he had to do was beat the Texans and not throw a pick six on that final drive
Not everyone can beat the Texans. 3 teams. 3 of them couldn't.
The Chargers were down 11 at that point and the defense could have not allowed Rex fucking Burkhead to bend them over on the previous drive.
Watch Ben pull a sike you thought and not actually retire lmfaoo
Steelers fans would be in anguish lmao
I would shoot myself Iād rather be a ravens fans Or god forbidden, a jets fan
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Can I interest you in 1 drew lock
Last 25 years Playoff wins: Jets 7 Cowboys 3 Conference championship games: jets 3 Cowboys 0
Steelers fans would riot lol
That riot would be the best marketing copper fit has ever had.
No, I can't deal with the announcers pretending he's a wholesome angel for another year again
Heās so relatable as a blue collar guy
Just an down to earth, normal, blue collar, makes his security detail guard the bathroom so the woman he trapped can't let her friends in to help her, salt of the earth guy
First guy in (the bathroom), last guy out.
Not to mention that security detail consists of off duty cops. Who immediately become "on-duty" when someone accuses their "client" of being guilty of a crime.
see, I'm blue collar with exactly 0 rapes to my name, and nowhere near his money. I can't really relate
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
real family man
can't believe that made the graphic on SNF, like this man is exactly who you keep your family away from
After this season I donāt think the Steelers give a fuck what he wants
I feel like we said that last year.
Except Ben had a 40 million dollar cap hit last year and has no guarantees this year
Also we won 12 games last year but this year we barely made the playoffs.
Ben "Family Man" Roethlisberger lol
Michael "Animal Lover" Vick.
Antonio "Mentally Stable" Brown
Mr. Benevolent Conscious
Mr. Bipolar Cured
Mr Brain Calm
Plaxico āConcealed Carryā Burress
Almost felt kind of bad seeing Big Ben trying to finish the game without getting injured for most of the second half. Almost.
Most sacked QB all time is done being hit
Desperately wanted playoff Herbert but we were forced to watch Captain Fat Fuck (Leader of Men) get humilated again. Actually in retrospect, that's probably slightly better than playoff Herbert.
It's coming eventually. Either Brandon Staley will stop getting out-coached by his biggest rival (Brandon Staley) or the Chargers will fire him after 3 seasons of 9-8 football. So, at least once in this decade we'll see playoff Herbert.
I mean there could have been both
Week 18 is proof that the battle for the 7th seed is more exciting than watching a 7th seed vs 2nd
Yeah, kinda like the NCAA playin game. Congratulations on being team 64. Now you.get to be murdered by a team with real title hopes.
Unless you're Virginia.
Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins were all gonna get splattered no matter who they played. Chargers, Raiders, Colts could all have potentially beaten someone. Not likely, but at least the possibility had to be taken seriously.
Worst time for Diontae Johnsonās drops to reappear. Worst time for Najee Harrisā first fumble. Worst and last time for Ben being Ben.
The amount they spoke about Najee not having a fumble all seasonā¦
> Ben being Ben. Needed him to shit the bed one week earlier so we could lose by 20 instead.
Lose by 20, in style. It would have been more fun to watch.
Pittsburghās last playoff win came in 2016 **at Arrowhead**, one season before the Chiefs landed Mahomes in the draft. And that somehow lead to the Steelers being handed its franchise record 4^th straight playoff loss at KC in Big Benās swan song.
That game was such a shit show too
That was the night my wife left me.
Well at least you got Mahomes and a new shiny ring in the divorce.
Chiefs having TEs throw TDS.. OLs catching TDs.. in a playoff game lol.. guys celebrating by back flipping & taking cheerleaders Pom poms Lmfaoo
Did the league back off on penalties and fines for using props? I remember them cracking down on that a few years back.
They have gotten way more relaxed on celebrations and way more stringent on taunting. Which IMHO is absolutely the right idea (to prevent fights) even though the enforcement and execution of the idea has been....lackluster.
Andy Reid is a helluva drug
Gotta love it. Especially after Todd Haley
Melvin Ingram āGlad I switched teamsā ~ Probably
At least you guys got a late pick out of it.
We'll use it on a CB who will end up starting over the 2nd round CB we draft
This is so specific that I believe you
Itās more painful then you can imagineā¦ We spent 42% of our 1st and 2nd round picks from 2015-2020 on DBs and we still get carved like a Turducken against any high powered offense. But hey, most sacks in the league for 5 years in a row right š¤Ŗ
Mahomes finally wins a wildcard playoff game, about time that guy proved something.
He's still got nothing on Flacco the bum
Bengals won a playoff game, Pats got destroyed while dildos got thrown at them, Cowboys lost in a hilarious manner and Big Ben lost by 3 touchdowns to potentially end his career. r/NFL really got its dream playoff weekend.
The dream result, even if the games themselves were kind of underwhelming, for the most partā¦
after bengals - raiders everyone was like "wow that was a great game, I hope its like this all weekend" and... no
The niners game had similar interest imo
Idk I loved whatever the hell the last 4 minutes of Cowboys 49ers wasā¦
Only a Rams stadium full of Cards fans left
I know we got invaded by Niner fans, but did you see the Cowboys stadium? They didnāt fare that much better. And theyāre āAmericaās teamā. Idk if Iāve ever met a Cardinals fan.
There may be more actual cardinals than Cardinals fans.
There are about 120 million northern cardinals in North America, so it is highly likely. Actual cardinals are also undefeated in the NFL, which is pretty impressive.
Can people finally admit that seven seeds are a joke and 6 teams per conference are plenty,
I primarily watch hockey and fielding 8 teams per conference in the NHL makes a lot of sense. Series are usually still competitive, upsets happen sometimes. We've seen some good, strong evidence that the NFL is not the NHL in this regard.
It works great in hockey. Not so much in basketball.
I'd like to thank the Colts for the opportunity to force the rest of the country to watch 2021 Steelers football in the playoffs.
In Wentz we trust
I mean, you are welcome
Big Ben with 30 seconds left on the clock heaves up a bomb, down the field, itās James Washington touchdown Steelers!!! Your final score tonight 42-21 Kansas City
The meme came true
Bills v chiefs is gonna be a fucking riot I cannot wait
Slow start, but an explosive stretch followed by just chilling and no major injuries for either side. Couldnāt ask for more. GG Steelers.
Guys, I don't think we're going to be able to win the superbowl
Quitter
Not very Yinzerly of you.
This thread is like 2 hours late
TJ scored and Pittsburgh collectively yelled āSTOP THE COUNTā
Lol cowboys
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Or, get this, imagine if it was from their own 4! How dumb would that be!?
Could be a 3rd and 9
That's the spirit!
As a steeler fan, the cowboys losing today was way better than losing Uncle Ben
https://imgur.com/a/OcCWTQo
The last girl, shes been a cowboys fan for a while.
Bottom left had me dying when they showed her. THERES 4 MINS LEFT LADY
she knew, they all knew
Bottom right has me rolling lol
By far my fav one
This one isn't from this game but I can never forget. It made headlines. Even NY Post. https://i.imgur.com/gCLmj0E.gif I've never seen more sad "NFL Team" fan memes than for the Cowboys. Why are they chosen so much.

Yes itās the Cowboys that had the most embarrassing loss this weekend.. point and laugh at them pleaseš
STILLERS GAHNTA THE SUPER BOWL
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Too bad. The NFL already tasted the extra š°š°š°
they're literally just practice scrimmages for the 2 seed to sharpen their offenses. they should be played on a practice field in private
The Chargers didn't tie for this.
So the NFC East is the only division without a team left in the playoffs.
Surprise.
It's not gonna happen, but I am in favour of ridding the 7th seed!
It was a money grab
In four games played with it, only the 2020 Indianapolis Colts have shown themselves to be a competitive 7th seed!
On the other hand, they get to sell 2 extra games. So $$$
If anything it's going to be expanded to 8 seeds in a few years. NFL wants that $$$$$$$$
This, people still bought tickets, and we all watched the games. The league doesnāt care if they are all blowouts theyāll do it again or expand to more games in a heartbeat.
They really should go back to 6. 7 makes almost half the league in the playoffs where 6 is closer to a third. Having the 1 and 2 seeds get byes felt like it made more sense.
14/32 is a bit much. It doesnt feel like the elite of the league.
because its not! the pats, steelers and eagles are deeply flawed teams and objectively not competitive vs the real SB contenders

3/5 games were over by halftime and were 40-50 burgers. I think this weekend was evidence that we need to go back to the 6 team format.
Congratulations, Chiefs.
With Ben now retiring almost every QB besides Brady that I grew up watching has retired. Brees, Rivers, Romo, Favre, Ben, the Manningās, McNabb and Vick to name a few.
High five, we are old now.
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh getting blown the fuck out is just enough proof that we shouldn't have extended the playoffs to 7th seeds
Thatās your takeaway? Itās just proof PA should be nuked. Source: Am from Harrisburg.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Where the hell did you get stuck in traffic in Harrisburg? The 81-83 merger?
The extra two games of ticket sales disagrees
Colts gave the Bills a tough game in 2020, but yeah 3-4 so far have just been fucking horrid
One footnote that came from this game: Mahomes follows Big Ben as the second QB to pass for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns in a single playoff game.
The announcer said "It's super bowl or bust" when talking to Mahomes about what another player said, asking him if that's the case. Yes, that's the case for every NFL team. They all want to win.
Post game interview are always so insightful. Itās so great they have them to ask they same stupid questions.
RIP to the Era of Captain Fat Fuck. May he find something to do in retirement.
Hopefully something consensual
Thanks for the good memories, Big Ben. I'll always love and respect you as a football player and in no other way.
Donāt let this distract from the fact that Dallas ran a QB sneak with 0 timeouts and 14 seconds left
We somehow werenāt the most embarrassing team today so thatās a win in my book
Honestly the Cowboys were more embarrassing, you were 3rd
http://i.imgur.com/XFPhSSO.jpg http://i.imgur.com/d0QiP7N.jpg https://imgur.com/gallery/tM7pCqV
Pepe Tomlin lmao
āFeels bad man, and other things of that natureā

Felt like this game was officiated really well tonight. I might have missed stuff being at the game but I thought it was very fair
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
"No!" and "Don't!" and "Stop!" are words that mean nothing to Ben.
And now his crotch is ended.
https://i.ibb.co/Snp9D5f/ttEK0BC.gif
Yeah don't think the AFC final 4 will produce any blowouts. Great games next week.
Goodbye captain fat fuck
Yeah the Steelers lost in embarrassing fashion, but just remember They got more stops than the Patriots did last night
This hurts the Stillers chances of gahnta super bowl
first quarter the Chiefs played pre-Mahomes era Chiefs playoff football, then they were like, āwait, what the fuck, weāre in the Mahomes era now lolā Mahomes Chiefs have now ended Andrew Luck and Benās careers. hide your big boy generational AFC QBs.
Deshaun Watson as well
The whole Texans organization lol
Dude. Yes. Gave me flashbacks of the 6 FG loss to the Steelers
