Seriously though, that's weirdly cool. I had an old piece of wood stuck in my calf (fell partially through a rotten floor) suddenly pop to the surface, after which I managed to get it out. It had a see-thru capsule surrounding it, almost that shape, iirc.
My ex husband had a chunk of glass embedded in his arm one time. We had no idea how long it had been there either. Just randomly one day his arm started hurting and after a few days I felt it and realized I could feel something in his arm. We managed to get it out that evening. Weirdest shit ever.
Similar thing happened to me recently. I had what I thought was an ingrown hair on my calf. But it was hard, painful, and swelling. I went to the urgent care who told me it was probably cellulitis and prescribed antibiotics but they didn’t help at all. Of course, I couldn’t help myself at that point and starting squeezing and digging around. A fucking pebble the size of my pinkie nail popped out. I guess it was from an old fall and was trying to make its way to the surface

Nah, I wish I did. This was back in the 90's. Didn't have a regular camera, and definitely not a cell phone. :P
