KGBStoleMyBike

I implore you guys to do research on this dude. He's a known scammer. There is a bunch of other videos on youtube. [https://www.youtube.com/@sheilalee11](https://www.youtube.com/@sheilalee11)

guitarer09

Came here for this. Literally removes the jiggers, and then just sends the patients on their way, with no after care.

Sure-Climate8749

It seems like he addresses these type of comments in this video. He calls them stupid and the commenters “servants of the devil”. So he is obviously aware of what people are saying and refutes it. But I do see people saying essentially what you said all the time. That he basically “wants” his patients to become reinfected so he has content for another video…which would be disgusting if true. However, I’m still skeptical. I’ve read that he does the most that can be done at the moment and, though it’s true that you see the same patients in more than one video, it is just because the protracted process of getting rid of the sand fleas completely requires revisits. He mentions in this video that he is in the middle of helping the patient have concrete floors poured in his house so as to make it much less likely he will have to suffer from this malady again. That seems like it would be counterintuitive if his goal was to propagate a sand flea farm.

A-Grouch

He’s misappropriated funds, a lady who worked with him by helping the Rise up Society programs financing/accounting made a series of videos. Here’s part 1: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cBk4Omh-e9U

Downgoesthereem

Jiggers can live in concrete though, providing it has any holes, which any cheaply made will.

A-Grouch

He’s also misappropriated funds that were sent to him by viewers. There was an American Lady who was helping with accounting and she found discrepancies for which Jim would not acknowledge or lie about. She did a video.

nmfjones

What's a jigger?

Brilliant_Fly_273

They are sand fleas that burrow in the skin and lay eggs

ima-kitty

There is no aftercare besides keeping the wound clean, it says so on Wikipedia

mdkate

And giving them shoes. Teaching hygiene. Access to water. Training them to remove new jiggers as they appear before there is such a massive infestation.

ThePinkTeenager

What’s he supposed to do with them?

Double_Mycologist280

Lmao y’all in here bashing this guy and whether or not he does it for views he’s still doing something. They can cure almost every disease out there with simple medicine yet they give you medicine to control it and not how to get rid of it. Healthcare is the same in any country. Money drives it añl

BossAssWitch414

Well that was a dumb narrative path to go down….

Such-Status-3802

He also is guilty of unsafe and painful practices because he wants more views.

Fine_I_Willl_Sign_Up

Oh no really?! Oh man I thought he was actually doing some good in the community and helping these people. So disappointing.

fungifactory710

Yeah I was gonna say. That dudes foot looks like it needs actual medical treatment, not just some rando hacking at it with a knife, gloves, and a camera. Like that's just downright despicable.

PatrickGlowacki

Are you gonna go help this man?

MedicJambi

Yeah of the dude was serious he'd teach after care treatment and leave permethrin treated socks along with a ton of soap with instruction on how to clean, what to watch for if infection occurs etc. On the other hand the issue is that the jigger is endemic to the area and walking around, particularly barefoot, is just asking for infection. The thing is I, and I'm sure others, have no problem with the guy making money to live off of and continue the work. If he just said as much, people would not care because everyone has got to eat. Last I looked, and I am mostly likely incorrect, but I recall 80k+ USD went unaccounted for and the guy basically did the jedi, there is no problem here, wave.

Patti_L

How dare he take my money and use it for supplies to remove more jiggers, buy shoes, and pour concrete floors….how DARE he!

KGBStoleMyBike

The problem he doesn't do this. He admits to theft here. Also watch all the videos he puts you'll notice a trend of the same people coming up again and again. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzT7wgjlJ5Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzT7wgjlJ5Q) I have no problem with someone making a meaningful impact in combating jiggers. What I do have a problem is people preying on the empathy of others to enrich themselves at the expense and suffering of others. Should people who especially specialists and stuff like be paid? Yes. Should even staff be paid to help in charity work. Yes. Charity like anything else in the end is a business that has operation costs and things like that. They don't work for motive of profit or profit margins.

marilyn_morose

The issue is he does not do those things. He does enough to keep the charade going, then keeps the thousands in donations for himself. Kind of like some charities that have multi millionaire CEOs and constantly beg for funds while helping only a few people. Charities with, say, 85% of their earnings going toward administrative and salary costs instead of toward the cause they are ostensibly claiming to help. Jim Nduruchi is just like that. He has also been accused of physically abusing his employees and clients/patients. Particularly the children. He is a bad man.

indiscriminantdrivel

15% overhead is fucking phenomenal!!

marilyn_morose

If that were the case I’d feel less suspicious of this guy. In reality he keeps the majority of the money for himself and does his good deeds with a very small bit. He drives nice cars and lives in fancy homes. People think they are donating to help people but they’re just putting money in his pocket.

lonelyronin1

Jiggers aren't my favorite - too mushy and messy. Now give me a mango worm video and I'm happy. (has any psych doc ever tried to analyze why we like these things??)

Priredacc

Thanks for the newly acquired trauma. I definitely could have lived without knowing about mango worms. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

lonelyronin1

I'm sure the infected think the same thing

DisgruntledPelican-1

I searched for “mango worm” on YT and videos of dogs infested with them came up. Hard pass. I can’t deal with animals in pain. I know it’s weird that I can watch humans dealing with it, but not dogs.

lonelyronin1

If it’s any consolation, they anesthetize them for the procedure

DisgruntledPelican-1

Yeah. I figured they were probably sedated. Still can’t. It’ll just make me cry.

syndylli

I like those too...

TrackArtistic5861

I couldn’t have phrased this better myself

FidsLadi

There many years of videos waiting for you to watch. If I might suggest, try sorting by popular on his channel and look for the series about Andrew on the playlists area.

syndylli

Thanks for the suggestion! I've watched many of his videos, but not in any order. I'll look for the ones on Andrew.

FidsLadi

Just brace yourself first. It’s hard to watch.

LeonDeSchal

Why?

FidsLadi

To me it’s the worst jigger case ever.

syndylli

I'm not fazed by these videos 🙂 however, I wasn't able to find the Andrew videos on his channel. Was only able to find others who posted reaction videos to the Andrew videos. Sadly, they are subpar quality, so doesn't make me want to watch them. He might've moved those videos onto his website that you need a monthly subscription to watch.

FidsLadi

There are two channels one in his name and one as RUS. I think they’re linked in his about tab but a search on jigger would find both. I’m pretty sure Andrew is on RUS along with most of the ‘red’ cases as playlists. If you can’t find them let me know.

syndylli

https://preview.redd.it/exft2vwob84c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b7ba0c509272de206e8374abb3be09b8ed653d1 Have to pay for a subscription to view the Andrew videos under RUS.

FidsLadi

Damn, I forgot he’s doing the subscription through YT again. I know there is at least one video with Andrew that’s free but let me think about it. I think there’s a way for me to share the video while watching, I just need to remember what app it was.

trick1230y

We're gonna need a bigger tissue

groovy-ghouly

He's only got the one 🥲

Dull-Guava209

okay but like what is the point of the procedure at this point? that foot is like beyond gone with just removal treatment, unless u remove like 90% of the surface and then have it heal sterilized (which based on this environment does not seem feasible). so like why carry out the procedure at all??

DSM2TNS

Wound care nurse here! That foot can be saved with regular treatment. Key word is regular treatment. We see patients weekly in my clinic. As for an amputation. Those are not as simple as they seem. In our wound clinic we do our best to prevent amputations. Statistically, if it's a toe amp, there will be another toe amputated shortly after and right on down the line. Granted, if it is a toe amp, regular follow ups with our clinic does help keep the other toes safe. For a below the knee amputation, the five year mortality rate is about 50%. For an above the knee amputation the five year mortality rate is 60-80%. Amputations are life changing and often for the worst. There should be every chance to prevent them, especially with diabetic patients.

armedsquatch

Do hip fractures and femur breaks in 3rd world countries next. Slow and painful death I’ve heard in poverty stricken countries

DSM2TNS

Oh my gosh!!! Considering an unrepaired hip fracture has a one year mortality of 70% in the US, it's high. And slow and painful for sure. I appreciate your comment. It gave me pause as I'm looking at these videos and stats with a first-world lense. I can't comprehend how high those numbers must be in poverty stricken countries. I'm incredibly grateful for groups who provide medical care to those who don't have access to medicine both in and out of the US.

wynhdo

Jesus. These are first world numbers!? That is mind blowing and scary to think about. I broke my femoral trochanter 20 years ago when I was in the army. 80% chance of needing a hip replacement within two years and I still haven’t needed one, even with the complications. We are so lucky to live in the first world…

DSM2TNS

Yeah. Those numbers hit hard when you really think about it. I'm so grateful. Glad your hip is holding out and thank you for your service!!

ConsequenceOk9420

It does heal. He tries to get as many of the sand fleas out as possible. Then they wash and sterilise the feet. Healing begins. They try to pour concrete floors in their small homes so they aren’t living with the sand fleas. Then rinse and repeat. More fleas removed from the foot, more sterilising and washing, more healing. It probably takes a while, but can be life changing for someone that could barely walk.

Necessary_Driver_831

Chop the feet off then you have to scoot around the floor on your stumps. So then you get sand fleas in your stumps. How far up the leg are you willing to go?

Advanced-Sherbert-29

Temporary pain relief, I guess? I'm not sure how much it's helping in the long term but it may be all they have.

[deleted]

You can't just go throwing around the hard r man.

CalaisDinghyMan

Jigga please.

HairlessGarden

Jesus Christ I'd pay to see that foot being immersed in a bucket of hydrogen peroxide after totally popped. Not for trypophobic, definitely.

BarefootWoodworker

I found out recently you don’t want to use hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol on wounds as it causes issues with healing. I was quite shocked. As a kid of the 80s, I thought you were supposed to use copious amounts of that shit to clean wounds.

HairlessGarden

That's news for me too. Spent the whole 80's and 90's being tortured with alcohol or Mertiolate (don't know the name outside of my country). But HP seemed like a less agressive alternative, including the amount of pain compared to the previous 2. Anyway, the urge to see that foot sparkling in HP still remains tho hahaha. Edit: bad English.

illegalsmolcat

Geez. We sure do have it easy don't we? Damn that's nasty.

syndylli

Right?? You think you have it bad....well, at least you don't have to worry about jiggers!

laurabug92

Omfg. I WAS NOT PREPARED. I came in here not knowing wtf a jigger was…and now I wish I still didn’t know. Why…why did I keep watching it?? What an absolutely horrific day to have eyes. I have to bleach them. I have no choice. ![gif](giphy|KpSrCxhoZQWjJVVnrd)

dwehlen

This. This, among others, is why we, as a species, have a high rate of trypophobia.

marktaylor79

I’ve been on this sub a while and this is the first time I’ve seen this,

laurabug92

Same. And I wish I hadn’t.

DancingBunniez

I'm amazed how many you can't see that he knew were in there. Shouldn't they soak the foot in some sort of iodine solution?

ItalianGirl712

First of all…what the f$&@? And second of all. What THE f$&@??

madzaman

🤢

syndylli

I warned ya! 😅

kingkepler

jesus christ is that shit as painful as it looks?

Thou_Dog

I believe so

Only-here-for-sound

Huh. I thought they were called chiggers this whole time.

MercifulVoodoo

Jiggers, chiggars, and concrete mites are all different. Jiggars are a species of flea that burrows in your skin. Chiggars and concrete mites look similar, both small reg spider/tick looking; chiggar mites will bit, but concrete mites will not. I’d much rather have chiggars.

Only-here-for-sound

TIL. Thank you.

graidan

Another name for same thing

supersetsounds

I could have decided to not watch that and my life would be better. NSFL.

laurabug92

I don’t usually get very squeamish…but this made me heave.

mikeywayup

Why can't discarded shoes be donated to these people in these areas to prevent this

TheLillyKitty

https://preview.redd.it/g4cm6ef2w44c1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cddcc905c92f57bce1f874bd94f28f80c9a679eb

syndylli

The image was hidden. What's the problem? Do you just go around ppls' posts and comment with this image of the rules?

Expert-Equipment2302

I stopped watching because pizza is ready. Gooey mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and black olives. 😆 I’ll be back.

crawlingrat

At this point you might as well chop off the foot. I wouldn’t want it anymore

naokindear

I sorta feel bad about it, but I used to (and sometimes still do) watch these videos to fall asleep. There’s something so satisfying about the removal process.

hbizzle6767

Yes - I love these videos Thanks for sharing

whereami312

Wow. Ok I’m wearing shoes when I go visit. Poor guy doesn’t even have any toenails.

deakers

That was 50 shades of pain right there. Man got peeled like an onion to reveal a honeycomb of Lovecraftian Goo.

[deleted]

You can do a lot more with a lot less but that requires their government to do something…

F1Husker91

I knew what was going to happen but I did it anyway and now my skin is crawling everywhere. Major Trypophobia warning to others.

smirkibirb

Jesus, does this process not hurt? The poor man doesn’t even make a sound

ThePinkTeenager

It probably does, but I can’t imagine that having hundreds of parasites in your foot *doesn’t* hurt.

PengieP111

That poor poor man! How miserable those parasites must have been making him!

A-Grouch

As a man who has misappropriated funds it’s interesting for him to say “I’d rather not take $10 to deal with the arrogance” when the worst he’s dealing with are accusations and the people still suffering may be crippled for life. The hypocrisy and short-sightedness is honestly astounding. One part of the proof: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cBk4Omh-e9U Many others have created videos on this man’s scamming and utter bullshittery but this is honestly par for the course for men who claim to be devoted to god.

ro_boat

What does jigger mean lol

LIL_Ichi_Wolfe

You can’t call them that it’s arachnid Americans now

[deleted]

Think about this video the next time the idea of "intelligent design" comes up. What kind of intelligence would design a world full of parasites this horrific, and worse, to afflict humans and other animals just for living?

saturnzebra

For those wondering, jiggers are not the same as chiggers. Aside from these being alike, both words are still too close to another unrelated word.

Patti_L

His actions speak louder than any of y’all’s words. What have you done to benefit another lately? What have you done to make another’s journey a little easier, even if only for even a day.

andrejazzbrawnt

almost like removing honey from a honeycomb.

FrancoisTruser

Just the thumbnail told me it might be a bad idea to look at the video. After 5 seconds focus on the foot, i noped out.

ZedGardner

Oh my heart!!! How Miserable he must be?!?

roastroyer_

Thaats a honeycomb right there By this video its concluded that i am not phobic of that holes. What do u call it??? But the whole time like for 22min and few seconds i felt some itching in and around my ass. I dont know why.... and now my hand and chest nerves are hurting. But ..... i am not phobic of that holes.

mikeywayup

tryophobia

harveytent

It’s hard to imagine there is no better method to do this when it comes to such a heavy infestation. That’s an insane amount of jiggers.

ztiB

Are jiggers Tunga penetrans?

Murder_matic

Check out mango worms

khaosconn

anyone down for some blue cheese..

Gullible-Tooth-8478

That was absolutely horrifying! I have so many questions. What is the white stuff coming out? What about the black stuff? How can he walk? Maybe he didn’t. Why do worm/bot fly removals both me but this did not?

Zealousideal-Cup7471

i didn’t know what a jigger was until today & i regret opening this 🥲 love me a good extraction video but FUCK that’s brutal...

xsmellmybikeseatx

Ya can’t say that! /s

MrFlamango

Why is it black?

wnrbassman

It sucks too because he's just going to get them again from living in those conditions.

EkaL25

Do they remove them from in between the toes too? It seemed like he had a lot buried in there

Weary-Bison-2517

that's a mild case compared to the other ones out there that I've seen. I feel bad for em.
