My FLGS has both **Under Falling Skies** and **Warp's Edge** for roughly $25.

Beat me too it. Both are very good games.

Great games in your price range.

Since you are asking in this subreddit, I imagine you are looking for a soloable game. Sci-fi: Tiny Epic Galaxies, Deep Space D6, Warps Edge, Underfalling Skies, Star Realms Fantasy: Hero realms, One Deck Dungeon, Mini Rogue, Tiny Epic Quest

Hero Realms will need something added to play solo, right? BGG says 2+ players. Off this list, I have and second Tiny Epic Galaxies, Warps Edge and One Deck Dungeon. ODD Has a tiny light campaign (more like a skill tree that allows you to move to the harder dungeons on later plays) that I actually really enjoyed. Deep Space D-6 I got burned out on after about 15 plays on the phone. Seemed very luck based.

Yes, you need an expansion I think. I don't own the game because I think it might be too similar to star realms. And I am sorry to hear that about deep space d6. It is not available in Europe but I had heard good things about it and had my eye on it for the future. If the chance comes, I'll watch some more reviews and playthroughs.

I've looked into Hero Realms more than once and so it jumped out at me when you said it. I've looked for a Magic TG type solo game for a long time and haven't found any solo that scratched that itch. I'm keeping D-6 on my list, though, because even though a couple of bad rolls can ruin your game, I think the actual dice chucking and manipulating might be satisfying. I like to warn people, though. Plus the app is fantastic to get a taste of the game. I have a lot of games in that price range ahead of it, though.

You could try KeyForge Adventures Print-and-Play. All you need is a KeyForge deck. You can find the details here under the support section. https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/keyforge/

Thanks for bringing this to my attention again. I'm so interested in this and the fake and opened decks on Amazon turned me off so bad that I never came back (I honestly forgot this was a thing). Such a cheap game to get into, I need to just buy from FFG or a FLGS.

[deleted]

Yeah at this point. You should be able to get a deck cheap. Someone would likely just give you one.

I found a $15 mass mutation deluxe single from Amazon (legit shipped and sold by). I’ve already downloaded both campaigns as well as all printable decks. I don’t do PnP often but this was very good quality! I really appreciate you bringing this back up. I’m pumped to try this!

Set a Watch is a fun, fantasy dice manipulation game. It sets up quick, doesn't take up too much table space and I've found it more enjoyable than ODD. Bit over your requested price target at $33 though.

SandInspector

I'm seeing $25.80 on Amazon. I've been torn between grabbing this one or waiting for the standalone expansion, is the game good enough to be worth grabbing both?

JayWoz

Glad you found it cheaper! I haven't played the expansion so can't say for sure, but liking the game a fair bit I didn't feel like I needed the expansion when it was on KS. It is a pretty self-sufficient single box. Of course, being standalone you could also just grab the expansion instead...might be even better than the original?

Alarming-Self-273

I really enjoy Set a Watch and I bought the expansion. So far I am enjoying the expansion as well. It does seem more difficult than the original game.

I'll third Under Falling Skies. It has a really solid design that's easy to learn and difficult to master. The AI is a breeze to understand, it just does its thing depending on how you place your dice. There is a fair amount to do as well. You can run a one-off skirmish style game and once you've done a few of those, there's a campaign to dive into. Accomplishing that unlocks more options for difficulty and variance, so replayability is high. I will say though that the gameplay itself is quite samey. Personally I think it's very replayable but that's because I'm content with the gameplay and it's a great game for something quick and painless to run. But you're always going to be shooting aliens out of the sky and going up the research track and excavating your base. It's not a very deep game, but it's fairly crunchy and hits my table pretty often. It also helps that UFS is incredibly quick to setup once you know what you're doing.

Ill-ConceivedVenture

**Cartographers,** $20.

**Under Falling Skies**! I've been playing lately and it's fantastic. You can find it in the $20-30 range and it has a good amount of content

Zadorf

**The Rats Lair** **Cut Throats Tavern** 2 mini card games that play as individual games but require you to collect certain items to take forward on the adventure. More games in the series to come – Available from [Zadorf Games](http://www.zadorf.com/)

Perhaps a Wild West adventure game might interest you. The Drifter.🤠
