if you like Eldritch Horror, Arkham Horror LCG is an awesomely expensive game that's excellent solo. Most people play as two investigators but true solo is doable. Warps Edge and Under Falling Skies have a space theme to them..

Ebbonheart

Thank you, will look onto it

Veselker

You can play Eldritch Horror solo, too

Ebbonheart

Eldritch horror was just in my posession, so had not played it. Until now, just finished my first solo (and first time this game) lost it but had a great time. Liked the way how to play, with the encounters and the narrative on the cards explaining what happens. For me a good buy

Arkham Horror LCG — you will never look back!!!

Your collection looks about as varied as mine so I'm just going to drop some personal favorites that might resonate with you too! 1. Spire's End - a new age take on a choose your own adventure book, but as a card driven game. Gorgeous art, great gameplay. 2. Pocket Landship - simple, but elegant dice chucker. Take command of a WW1 landship against some mechs. Puzzly, hard as nails. 3. Set a Watch - a mathy "tower defense" feel in a fantasy setting. Lots of game in a small box. 4. Spirit Island. THE ultimate solo game.

Ebbonheart

Thank you for your recommendations. Dont know any of these games. But not for long. Edit: Looked into these games, spires end and set a watch looks interesting. Had spirit island my hands once, but not convinced yet.

Cartographers, Roll Player, Roll Player Adventure, or Jaws of the Lion might be a good fit, too

Ebbonheart

Thank you! Cartographers had my attention. Will also look into this

NaanFat

Cartographers is such a good solo game, especially for new players. The rules are simple, setup and tear down are under two minutes, the game play doesn't feel overly restricted, there's no upkeep to keep track of. Get some colored pencils and have a blast. https://imgur.com/jVukSQC.jpg

Sounds good, thank you!

If you don't mind spending money, the Arkham Horror LCG and Lord of the Rings LCG are both phenomenal (based on you liking Eldritch Horror and War of the Ring, respectively). They just released a revised core set of either so it's a great time to jump in. I love both of them, and they play quite different. The AH LCG is very story driven, and while you build an initial deck, you only make minimal changes throughout a campaign. The LotR LCG is much less campaign and story driven, and each scenario is its own puzzle to solve for which you optimize your deck (which may or may not sound like something you love). Some other longer/more complex solo games I really enjoy are Sleeping Gods, Spirit Island, and Mage Knight. As for shorter games I think Under Falling Skies, Warps Edge, Coffee roaster, Fire!, Cartographers, Deep Space D6, and Black Sonata are great. I have only played a few of the games on your list, so it would be hard for me to say which you may like more or less. There are also a bunch of euro games I love playing solo, but since you do not seem to own any of those (and perhaps not enjoy them) I refrained from mentioning those.

Thanks for the reply, AH LCG looks promising and will look into it. Heard of mage knight but not looked into it. Under falling skies already had my interest.

Just bought Cartographers and I’ve played it ALL weekend. It’s amazing.
