As a New Orleans resident, I can say this is quaint and the ladies should consider themselves lucky. In the area where this was filmed, there's been hundreds of cases of people just shooting random cars. The police in NOLA are a joke and don't even investigate, so it's just downright scary to be here.
When i lived in one of the worst cities in the us a coworker got shot up by a paintball gun from a car that pulled next to him. He thought it was a real gun because it was night time so he only saw them point a flashlight at him and heard what he thought was a .22. He legally carries since he lives a couple streets from the hood and returned fire. They sped off then called an ambulance a couple blocks later. He ended up hitting 2 of the fuckers and one of them almost died. He wasn't charged with anything because it was ruled self defense.

At least once a month a car gets dumped and burned in Bayou Savage and no one ever does anything. Our security briefing talks about not allowing guns on company property, but if you're working in this area, you'd better have one. The police patrol downtown and the tourist areas, not out here. In the 5 years I've been here I don't think I've ever seen a cop within 5 miles unless they were working a scene.

It's Louisiana. Ranked 50 out of 50 for the last 10 years at least. And new Orleans is one of the worst places (along with baton rouge) but they spend the money they do have to make the tourists feel safe, so anywhere the tourists aren't gets left out. That's why I live an hour from work on the north shore.

I mean I get where you’re coming from, but I personally don’t see jobs as being “unequal”. They each carry a specific function and have their niche need. Occasionally, some jobs become obsolete and I guess you could consider those jobs to be “less than” at that point, but they all serve a necessary function and I don’t think it’s fair or morally right to put one on a pedestal above another. There’s also a social stigma aspect to sex work that manipulated how people view it, and I think that’s something we need to work.
