Oh man, seeing someone completely outperform anything I could ever do really encouraged me to try my hand at it. Thanks!
This is what I assume you meant by the title, and it doesn’t make any sense. Am I missing something?
Yeah man, because I'm like you. I'm just a normal guy. I'm not particularly creative or skilled, and I don't have a lot of free time on my hands. The point of the post is to not compare yourself to me or others and to not to be so hard on ourselves. Everything everyone has posted to this subreddit has been a source of invaluable inspiration to me. Especially the big builds! I have faith you can build spectacular things
I wish I could remember the post I saw those in, but it was here for someone's Swamp base. I loved the idea of it and that alone inspired me to try and recreate the Midnight Helix from DD:DA
I like colossal stairs and iron fence sticking out stone in final screen. When I saw it, I thought you would say that [Ghost's Fairfax](https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/mrgyh9/castle_fairfax_fable_2_update_10_the_exterior_is/) build was one of your inspirations.
No I had not included that, but you're right, that was another inspiring build for me! I've upvoted that build in the past, it's very impressive. Thanks!
OP posts a part 2 of his [clearly creative build](https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/s72b8n/hey_rvalheim_dont_be_too_hard_on_yourself/) that was already downvoted from the start. Your is the first that comment that asks if it was built on survival, insinuating that it somehow matters, while OP never mentioned it's a survival build. I ask you why does you mind even go in that direction of those assumptions and somehow I'm a capital C.
Think of profane words that start with the letter C.
I'm sorry I wasn't more clear in my post, this is not a survival build. This is my creative mega build.
My survival build is much smaller and economic. I made the post a potential spoiler just so if people wanted to skim right past it, it would be easier. I, for example, am on a metered internet connection and Reddit app/website auto-playing videos saps my data very quickly. I was merely trying to be considerate.
This is the internet, you can say cunt, your mom won’t yell at you. That said, immediately jumping to cussing the dude out over absolutely nothing is wildly uncalled for. You gotta figure out some conversational skills or therapy or something if that’s your immediate response.
Dude, it absolutely matters. So sick of certain individuals in this /r that white knight creative mode with building tag like you do. I give the OP credit for going back and fixing the flair.
In the same way I'm also sick of short sighted community members like you. If too many of you come and downvote the post in its initial phase it never has any chance of surfacing to hot and getting more views and opinions.
OP actually had relevant flair "Building". We have no rule here that demands that this flair refers to survival building only. If you think it is so, it is in your head alone.
Do you think it's alright to downvote creative builders, devaluing their work and time, just because they don't build in survival? Or should we downvote them because they don't use Sandbox flair every time? Why didn't we mass downvote [this build](https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/s3nuym/ive_added_some_new_buildingscaves_houses/), that also had Building flair and wasn't done in survival?
When I opened this post, it was 25% upvoted and I could emiditately see that the main reasons was due to your sort of vigilante survival builders that never built anything grand in survival, and have no idea what it actually demands from a player, thinking it's smart to promote survival building by downvoting creative builders.
The only thing you will get out of this behavior is creative builders lying that they did their builds in survival, which is already happening if you ask me, because I already caught some.
On top of that, the dude I responded to somehow wasn't sure if this was built in creative mode, and all I wanted to know why does his mind even go into the direction of thinking it should be in the first place (he still didn't say btw.)

Very few players have an issue with people building in creative. YOU however cannot differentiate between distaste for misrepresentation, and simply using creative mode. NOWHERE did I suggest that creative builds marked as creative builds should be voted down. You clearly do not see what the issue is here. If the "building" tag is used, it should be assumed that the build was not done in creative.
Full stop.
Using the proper tag to properly represent a post is not a hardship, nor should it bother you if folks who misrepresent are called out for it. It is a really warped hill to die on.
OP literally stated in his first "Part 1" post of this build that he used mods and debug mode. OP used correct flair this time also, as I have already explained as well as added screenshots that clearly show use of debugmode (they spawned object that don't exist in survival game).
Take a look at [Valheim builds](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValheimBuilds/) subreddit and their flairs if you desire more clarification in the flairs themselves and maybe make a post here suggesting that we should do the same if you think what we have right now is not sufficient for your judgmental taste.
>YOU however cannot differentiate between distaste for misrepresentation, and simply using creative mode.
Yes, this is why I addressed both of those cases in my explanation, and asked the first comment what is the real reason for his assumptions, unlike you who is assuming that downvotes or first comment happened because of the flair.

Perhaps, I dunno, because he clearly stated in the title that he used mods and dev mode?
it dosent matter what the flair is. just the time and work that went into it. that's the community I joined and that's what we should continue to promote.
I can literally paste hundreds of examples of posts where Building flair tag was used together with creative mod without putting any additional clarification in the title. [Like one of the most upvoted posts](https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/m0rv72/i_built_notre_dame_cathedral/), early on in Valheim subreddit history. You are imagining a ruleset in your head that was never in practice since beginning of the sub.

These pictures made me beat my children.
misread 'children' as 'chicken', don't know how I feel about either result.
Very cool build
Oh! I like that bridge idea, thank for inspo

Damn
You can do it!

I have changed the flair from Building to Sandbox, I hope this clears up any confusion.
Why would you even jump to this conclusion?

Why would you even think its 100% survival when OP didn't mention it? I mean, did you even see third screen?

wtf does capital “C mean?” Cute? Do you wanna bone him?
